A Party You Kill

S 2:87 And we gave Musa the Book and sent the messengers after him. And we gave Isa son of Maryam the proofs and supported him with the Holy Spirit. So has every time a messenger come to you with what your souls do not desire you have been arrogant? So a party you accused of lying and a party you kill.

Similarly in S 5:70 we read: We took a covenant of the Banu Isra’il and sent them messengers. Whenever a messenger came to them with what their souls do not desire, a party they accused of lying and a party they kill.

If the founder of Islam was the last messenger, how are these Israelites killing them, and parties or teams (fariq) of them at that?

S 33:40 Muhammad was not a father of any of your men but Allah’s messenger and the ring of the prophets. And Allah was learned in everything.
