A Quran?

Was the word quran one already known to the Arabs before the founder of Islam's activity?

S 10:15 And when our verses are read to them as proofs, those who do not hope for our meeting have said: Bring a quran other than this or change it. Say: It is not for me to change it of the meeting of my soul. I do not follow but what I am inspired with. I fear if I disobey my lord the torture of a great day.

S 10:61 And you are not in a matter nor do you read of it from a quran nor do you do any deed but we were witnesses over you when you pour out in it. And not the weight of a red ant escapes from your lord on the Earth or in the sky or smaller than that or bigger but is in a clear book.

S 12:2 We have sent it down as an Arabic quran; perhaps you will comprehend.

S 13:31 And were there a quran that the mountains were rolled round by or the Earth cut by or the dead spoken to by… Rather, Lah’s is all the command. So have those who have believed not despaired that if Allah willed he would have guided all people? And those who have disbelieved still strike them for what they have done, a calamity, or it resides close to their home until Allah’s promise comes. Allah does not break the appointment.

S 15:1 Alif lam mim. Those are the signs of the book and of a clear quran.

S 17:78 Perform the salat at the setting of the sun to the darkness of the night and the fajr quran. The fajr quran was witnessed.

S 17:106 And a quran that we have split that you may read it to people at intervals. And we sent it down as a tanzil.

S 20:113 And thus have we sent it down as an Arabic quran and explained in it of the threatening; perhaps they will fear or it will produce a remembrance for them.

S 42:7 And thus have we inspired you with an Arabic quran that you may warn the mother of villages and those around it and warn on the day of collection. There is no doubt therein. A party in the Jannah and a party in the blaze.

S 43:3 We have made it an Arabic quran; perhaps you will comprehend.

S 56:77 It is a noble quran,

S 72:1 Say: I have been inspired that a group of the jinn listened and said: We have heard a wonderful quran

S 75:17 Upon us is its collection and its quran.

S 75:18 So when we have read it follow its quran.

S 85:21 Rather, it is a glorious quran,
