Come To Allah and Be Counted

In this post we shall be looking at S 19:93, 94 and 95.

S 19:93 There is none in the skies and the Earth but he comes to Al-Rahman as a slave.

This follows on from verse 92 which states that it is not befitting for Al-Rahman to take or adopt a child. Now, as verse 93 states that there is none in the skies and Earth but comes as a slave, it suggests physical movement towards Al-Rahman, or Allah.

This would mean that the angels and people of the sky physically move towards Al-Rahman. Resurrection is not mentioned. So how do people on Earth come to Al-Rahman?

S 19:94 He has enumerated them and counted them.

If Allah knows everything, why does it have to count and enumerate them, which must include the angels and the people of the sky, if there is a context? This should include Isa as Isa is in the sky.

S 19:95 And each of them comes to him on the day of resurrection as an individual.

Each of them physically comes to Allah on the day of resurrection as an individual. This would include the aforementioned angels, people of the sky and Isa, if we go by context. Now, as this is on the day of resurrection, this should be on Earth. And not as a group but individually. Now, might the aforementioned also die and be resurrected and go to Allah to be judged? Isa has already died. But how might he be resurrected seeing as he is with Allah?

But there is a further problem. They come individually whereas ahadith speak of the resurrectees as being composed of men and women, barefoot and uncircumcised.

Narrated `Aisha:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The people will be gathered barefooted, naked, and uncircumcised." I said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Will the men and the women look at each other?" He said, "The situation will be too hard for them to pay attention to that."
