1 The believers have succeeded. 2 Those who are humble in their salat 3 And those who are averse from nonsense 4 And those who are doers of zakat 5 And those who are keepers of their privates 6 Except from their husbands or what their right hands have possessed and they are not blamable. 7 And those who have sought beyond that, they are the foes. 8 And those who are observers of their trusts and their covenant. 9 And those who guard their prayers. 10 Those are the inheritors, 11 Who inherit Paradise, they are aeonians therein. 12 We created man from a descendancy of clay. 13 Then we made him a drop in a solid domicile. 14 Then we created the drop as a blood clot then we created the blood clot as a gobbet then we created the gobbet as bones then we clothed the bones with flesh. Then we constructed it as another creation. So blessed be Allah the best of creators! 15 Then you after that are dead men. 16 Then you on the day of resurrection are raised. 17 And we created above you seven ways and we were not heedless of creation. 18 And we sent down water from the sky in quantity then settled it in the Earth. And we are able to take it away. 19 Then we brought into being for you by it jannat of date palms and of grapes for you. Therein are many fruits and of them you eat. 20 And a tree issuing from Tur Sinai, growing grease and a dye for the eaters. 21 And you have in cattle a lesson. We give you to drink what is in their bellies. And you have in them many benefits and of them you eat. 22 And upon them and on the ship are you carried. 23 And we sent Nuh to his people and he said: People, worship Allah. You have no god other than him. So do you not fear? 24 But the chiefs of those who had disbelieved of his people said: This is nothing but a human being the like of you. He wants to do you a favour, and had Allah willed he would have sent down angels. We did not hear of this among our first fathers. 25 He is nothing but a man in whom is madness so stalk him until a time. 26 He said: Lord, help me because they have called me a liar. 27 So we inspired him: Make the ship under our eyes and our inspiration. Then when our command has come and the oven has overflowed insert therein of everything two pairs and your family, except thereof whom the speech has preceded against. And do not address me concerning those who have wronged; they are drowned. 28 And when you have boarded, you and who is with you on the ship, say: Praise be to Lah who has saved us from the wrongdoing people. 29 And say: Lord, cause me to descend with a blessed descending and you are the best of descenders. 30 In that are signs and indeed we were testers. 31 Then we constructed after them another century. 32 And we sent among them a messenger from them: Worship Allah. You have no god other than him. So do you not fear? 33 And the chiefs of his people, those who had disbelieved and had called the meeting of the hereafter a lie and whom we had spoiled in the dunya life, said: This is nothing but a human being the like of you. He eats of what you eat of and drinks of what you drink. 34 And if you have obeyed a human being the like of you, you are then losers. 35 Does he promise you that you, when you have died and were dirt and bones, that you are brought out? 36 No way, no way to what you are promised! 37 It is nothing but our dunya life. We die and live and we are not going to be raised. 38 He is nothing but a man who has fabricated a lie about Allah and we are not believers in him. 39 He said: Lord, help me because they have called me a liar. 40 He said: After a short while they will become regretful. 41 So the cry took them in truth and we made them scum. So away with the wrongdoing people! 42 Then we caused to exist after them other centuries. 43 No nation precedes its term nor do they postpone. 44 Then we sent our messengers, one following the other. Every time its messenger came to a nation they accused him of lying, so we made some of them follow others and made them ahadith. So away with a people who do not believe! 45 Then we sent Musa and his brother Harun with our signs and clear authority 46 To Fir’awn and his chiefs but they were arrogant and were an exalted people. 47 Then they said: Shall we believe in two human beings the like of us and their people are slaves to us? 48 So they accused them of lying and were of the destroyed. 49 And we gave Musa the Book; perhaps they would be guided. 50 And we made the son of Maryam and his mother a sign and we sheltered them to a rabwah of calm and a spring. 51 Messengers, eat of the good things and do good deeds. I am a knower of what you do. 52 And this your nation is one nation. And I am your lord so fear. 53 But they cut their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what they have. 54 So leave them in their distress until a time. 55 Do they think that what we extend them with money and sons 56 We hasten to them in good? Rather, they do not perceive. 57 Those who from fear of their lord are abject. 58 And those who believe in their lord’s verses. 59 And those who do not associate with their lord. 60 And those who give what they gave while their hearts are pavid that they are returning to their lord. 61 Those hasten in the good deeds and they are preceders of them. 62 And we do not trouble a soul except as to its ability and with us is a book that speaks in truth and they are not wronged. 63 Rather, their hearts are in distress from this and theirs are deeds instead of that, they are doers of them. 64 Until when we have taken their luxuriant ones with the torture behold, they low. 65 Do not low today. You are not helped by us. 66 My verses were read to you but you would turn on your heels. 67 Being arrogant about it, night time chat, raving. 68 So have they not pondered the speech or has what did not come to their first fathers come to them? 69 Or have they not recognised their messenger so they are denying him? 70 Or do they say: There is madness in him? Rather, he has come to them with the truth and most of them dislike the truth. 71 And had the truth followed their desires the skies and the Earth and he who is in them would have corrupted. Rather, we have given them their dhikr but they are turning away from their dhikr. 72 Or do you ask them for costs? But your lord’s public levy is better and he is the best of providers. 73 And you call them to a straight path. 74 And those who do not believe in the hereafter deviate from the path. 75 And had we shown mercy to them and removed what was with them of harm they would have persisted in wandering blindly in their oppression. 76 And we took them with the torture but they did not submit to their lord and do not implore. 77 Until when we opened upon them a gate of severe torture behold, they are despairing therein. 78 And he is the one who brought into being for you hearing and sight and hearts. Little is what you thank. 79 And he is the one who created you on the Earth and to him you are gathered. 80 And he is the one who vivifies and causes to die and his is the difference of night and day. So do you not comprehend? 81 Rather, they have said the like of what the first ones said. 82 They said: When we have died and were dirt and bones are we raised? 83 We were promised this, we and our fathers, before. This is nothing but the tales of the first ones. 84 Say: Whose is the Earth and he who is upon it if you know? 85 They will say: Lah’s. Say: So do you not remember? 86 Say: Who is the lord of the seven skies and the lord of the great throne? 87 They will say: Lah’s. Say: So do you not fear? 88 Say: Who is it in whose hand is the kingdom of everything and he protects and none is protected from him, if you know? 89 They will say: Lah’s. Say: So how are you bewitched? 90 Rather, we have come to them with the truth and they are lying. 91 Allah has taken no child nor was there any god with him. Then every god would have gone with what it had created and some would have been lofty over others. Praise be to Allah from what they ascribe! 92 Knower of the ghayb and the testimony, exalted be he from what they associate! 93 Say: Lord, if you should show me what they are promised, 94 Lord, do not put me among the wrongdoing people. 95 And we are able to show you what we promise them. 96 Push away the evil deed with that which is better. We are a knower of what they attribute. 97 And say: Lord, I take refuge in you from the promptings of the devils. 98 And I take refuge in you, lord, lest they attend me. 99 Until when death has come to one of them he has said: Lord, return me. 100 Perhaps I shall do a righteous deed in what I have left. Not at all! It is a word he speaks and behind them is an isthmus to a day they are raised. 101 So when it has been blown on the trumpet there are no affinities among them on that day nor do they ask one another. 102 So he whose scales were heavy, those are the successful. 103 And he whose scales were light, those are the ones who have lost their souls, abiding indefinitely in Jahannam. 104 The fire scorches their faces and they grimace therein. 105 Were my verses not read to you but you would call them a lie? 106 They said: Our lord, our misery overcame us and we were a straying people. 107 Our lord, take us out of it then if we have returned, we are wrongdoers. 108 He said: Begone therein and do not speak to me. 109 There was a party of my slaves saying: Our lord, we have believed so forgive us and have mercy on us and you are the best of the merciful. 110 But you took them in mockery until they made you forget my dhikr and you would laugh at them. 111 I have recompensed them today because they were patient, that they are the winners. 112 He said: How many did you stay on the Earth in a number of years? 113 They said: We stayed a day or part of a day but ask the counters. 114 He said: You stayed nothing but a short time, had you known. 115 So did you think that we created you for nothing and that you would not be returned to us? 116 So exalted be Allah, the king, the truth! There is no god but him, the lord of the honorable throne. 117 And he who invokes with Allah another god, he has no proof therein. Then his account is only with his lord. The kafirun do not succeed. 118 And say: Lord, forgive and have mercy, and you are the best of the merciful.
