1 Blessed be the one who sent down the Furqan upon his slave that he may be a nadhir to the ‘alamin, 2 The one whose is the rule of the skies and the Earth and has not taken a child nor has had a partner in the rule and created everything and made it an estimate. 3 And they have taken gods instead of him, creating nothing but they are created nor controlling harm or benefit for themselves nor controlling death or life or resurrection. 4 And those who have disbelieved have said: This is nothing but vilification. He has fabricated it and other people have helped him. But they have come as a wrong and an untruth. 5 And they have said: The tales of the first ones that he has transcribed and they are read to him morning and evening. 6 Say: The one who knows the mystery in the skies and the Earth has sent it down. He was a forgiver, merciful. 7 And they have said: Why does this messenger eat food and walk in the markets? Why has an angel not been sent down to him that he might be a nadhir with him? 8 Or a treasure is thrown to him or he has a jannah, eating of it? And the wrongdoers have said: You follow nothing but a bewitched man. 9 See how they have coined the similitudes for you and have strayed so are not able a way. 10 Blessed be the one who, if he had willed, might have made for you better than that--jannat, rivers running beneath them, and make you castles. 11 Rather, they have called the Hour a lie and we have prepared for him who has called the Hour a lie a blaze. 12 When he saw them from a distant place they heard raging and exhalation of it. 13 And when they were thrown thereof in a strait place yoked, they called there for destruction. 14 Do not call today for one destruction but call for much destruction. 15 Say: Is that better or the jannah of perpetuity, which the fearers have been promised? It was a recompense and a destiny for them. 16 Theirs therein in what they desire, abiding indefinitely. It was a requested promise upon your lord. 17 And on a day he gathers them and what they worship instead of Allah and says: Did you mislead my slaves, these, or did they stray from the way? 18 They said: Praise be to you! It was not behoving for us to take instead of you any protectors. But you amused them and their fathers until they forgot the dhikr and were a fallow people. 19 So they have lied to you in what you say so you are not able to avert or to help. And he who does wrong among you, we make him taste big torture. 20 And we did not send before you any of the commissaries but they would eat food and walk in the markets. And we have made some of you a fitnah for others. Will you be patient? And your lord was a seer. 21 And those who do not hope for our meeting have said: Why have the angels not been sent down upon us or do we see our lord? They have been arrogant in themselves and were greatly insolent. 22 On a day they see the angels. There is no good news on that day for the criminals and they say: A forbidden enclosure. 23 And we arrived at what they did of a deed and we made it sprinkled fine dust. 24 The companions of the Jannah on that day--as a better dwelling and as the best resting place. 25 And on a day the sky is split with the clouds and the angels were sent down in a tanzil. 26 The true dominion on that day is Al-Rahman’s. And a day was difficult for the kafirun. 27 And on a day the wrongdoer bites his hands saying: Would that I had taken a way with the messenger. 28 Woe is me! Would that I had not taken so-and-so as an intimate friend. 29 He misguided me from the dhikr after it had come to me. And the Devil was a deserter to man. 30 And the messenger said: Lord, my people have taken this quran as something discarded. 31 And thus have we made for every prophet an enemy from the criminals. And sufficient was your lord as a guide and a helper. 32 And those who have disbelieved have said: Why has the Quran not been sent down upon him as one totality? Thus: That we may make your heart firm thereby, and we have uttered it as a hymnody. 33 And they do not bring you a similitude but we have brought you the truth and the best tafsir. 34 Those gathered on their faces to Jahannam, those are the worst in position and most astray from the way. 35 And we gave Musa the Book and we put with him his brother Harun as a minister. 36 Then we said: Go to the people, those who have called our signs a lie. Then we destroyed them with destruction. 37 And Nuh’s people, when they accused the messengers of lying, we drowned them and made them a sign for people, and we have prepared for the wrongdoers painful torture. 38 And Ad and Thamud and many centuries between that. 39 And all have we set for him the examples and all did we destroy. 40 And they have come upon the village that was rained on with the rain of evil. So have they not seen it? Rather, they were not hoping for resurrection. 41 And when they see you they do not take you but as a quip: Is this the one Allah has raised as a messenger? 42 He would have almost misled us from our gods had we not endured towards them. And they will know when they see the torture who is more astray from the way. 43 Have you seen him who has taken his desire as his god? So would you be an agent over him? 44 Or do you think that most of them hear or comprehend? They are nothing but like cattle. Rather, they are more astray from a way. 45 Have you not contemplated your lord, how he has extended the shadow? And had he willed he would have made it stationary. Then we made the sun a particular piece of evidence for it. 46 Then we seized it to us with ease. 47 And he is the one who made for you the night a garment and sleep a stupor and made the day a resurrection. 48 And he is the one who has sent the winds as good news in front of his mercy and we have sent down from the sky pure water 49 To vivify with it a dead country and that we might give it to drink of what we have created: cattle and many men. 50 And we have explained it among them that they may mention but most people have refused except ingratitude. 51 And had we willed we would have raised in every village a nadhir. 52 So do not obey the kafirun, and wage big jihad on them with it. 53 And he is the one who mixed the two seas. This one freshwater, sweet water, and this one salt, salty. And he put between them an isthmus and a forbidden enclosure. 54 And he is the one who created from water a human being and made him affinity and fusion. And your lord was capable. 55 And they worship instead of Allah what does not benefit them or harm them and the kafir was an assistant against his lord. 56 And we have not sent you but as a bearer of good news and as a nadhir. 57 Say: I do not ask you any wage for it except him who has willed to take a way to his lord. 58 And put your trust in the living one who does not die and glorify with his praise. And sufficient was he, in the sins of his slaves an expert. 59 The one who created the skies and the Earth and what is between them in six days then ascended the Al-Rahman throne. So ask him, an expert. 60 And when it was said to them: Do sujud to Al-Rahman, they said: And what is Al-Rahman? Are we to do sujud to what you command us to? And it increased them in aversion. 61 Blessed be the one who made in the sky constellations and made therein a lamp and a luminous moon! 62 And he is the one who made the night and the day as a succession for him who wanted to remember or wanted to be grateful. 63 And Al-Rahman’s slaves are those who walk on the Earth in embarrassment and when the ignorant have addressed them they have said: Peace. 64 And those who spend the night for their lord doing sujud and standing. 65 And those who say: Our lord, avert from us the torture of Jahannam. Its torture was passion. 66 It was bad, a dwelling and a residence. 67 And those who when they spent were not extravagant nor tight fisted and were between that--moderation. 68 And those who do not invoke with Allah another god or kill the soul that Allah has forbidden except by right or fornicate. And he who does that meets misdeeds. 69 Doubled for him is the torture on the day of resurrection and he remains therein abased. 70 Except those who have repented and believed and done a righteous deed then those, Allah changes their evil deeds for good ones. And Allah was a forgiver, merciful. 71 And he who has repented and done a righteous deed, he repents to Allah with repenting. 72 And those who do not bear witness to the untruth and when they have passed with nonsense they have passed as noble ones. 73 And those who, when they have been reminded of their lord’s verses, have not fallen down upon them deaf and blind. 74 And those who say: Our lord, give us of our husbands and our offsprings, a scion of eyes, and make us an exemplar for the fearers. 75 Those are recompensed with the room because they were patient and they are met therein with greeting and peace, 76 Abiding therein indefinitely. Good was a dwelling and a residence. 77 Say: My lord would not care for you were it not for your invocation. But you have accused of lying so there will be a requirement.
