1 Ta sin. Those are the signs of the Quran and of a clear book. 2 Guidance and good news for the believers, 3 Who perform the salat and give the zakat and they in the hereafter are certain. 4 Those who do not believe in the hereafter, we have adorned for them their deeds and they wander about. 5 Those are the ones who have the evil of torture and they in the hereafter are the losers. 6 And you receive the Quran from a wise, knowing one. 7 When Musa said to his family: I have caught sight of a fire. I shall bring you news from it or bring you a torch, a firebrand; perhaps you will seek warmth. 8 But when he came to it it was called: Blessed are those in the fire and those around it. And praise be to Allah lord of the ‘alamin. 9 Musa, I am Allah, the mighty, the wise. 10 And throw your staff. But when he saw it move as though it were a snake he turned back in flight and did not return. Musa, do not fear. The commissaries do not fear in my presence 11 Except him who has wronged then he has changed good after evil then I am a forgiver, merciful. 12 And enter your hand into your pocket. It comes out white without evil. In nine signs to Fir’awn and his people. They were a fasiq people. 13 But when our signs came to them, visible, they said: This is obvious magic. 14 And they have rejected them and their souls were convinced of them out of wrongdoing and exaltedness. So look how the result of the corrupters was. 15 And we gave Dawud and Sulayman knowledge and they said: Praise be to Lah, the one who has preferred us to many of his believing slaves. 16 And Sulayman inherited Dawud. And he said: People, we have been taught bird language and we have been given everything. This, it is the obvious favour. 17 And his troops of jinn and man and bird were gathered to Sulayman and they are marshalled. 18 Until when they came upon the wadi of the ants an ant said: Ants, enter your dwellings lest Sulayman and his troops crush you not perceiving. 19 And he smiled, laughing at its speech and said: Lord, grant me that I may thank you for your grace which you have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and that I may do a righteous deed that you will be pleased with. And admit me into your mercy among your righteous slaves. 20 And he inspected the bird and said: Why do I not see the hoopoe, or was it of the absent? 21 I will torture it with severe torture or slaughter it or it shall bring me clear authority. 22 So he did not stay long and said: I have encompassed what you have not encompassed and have come to you from Saba’ with certain news. 23 I found a woman ruling them and she has been given of everything and she has a great throne. 24 I found her and her people doing sujud to the sun instead of Allah and the Devil has adorned for them their deeds and blocked them from the way so they are not guided. 25 Not to do sujud to Lah, the one who brings out the concealment in the skies and the Earth and knows what you conceal and what you reveal. 26 Allah. There is no god but him, the lord of the great throne. 27 He said: We shall look if you were telling the truth or were of the lying. 28 Go with this book of mine and throw it to them then turn away from them and see what they return. 29 She said: Chiefs, I, a noble book has been thrown to me. 30 It is from Sulayman and it is: In the name of Allah, Al-Rahman, Al-Rahim. 31 Not to exalt against me and come to me as Muslims. 32 She said: Chiefs, deliver your opinion to me in my matter. I was not conclusive in a matter until you bear witness to me. 33 They said: We are possessors of strength and possessors of severe horribleness and the command is to you so see what you command. 34 She said: Kings, when they have entered a village, have ruined it and made the excellent of its people humiliated. And thus do they do. 35 And I am sending them a gift and looking at what the commissaries return. 36 So when it came to Sulayman he said: Do you bring me money? But what Allah has given me is better than what he has given you. Rather, you rejoice in your gift. 37 Return to them and we will come to them with troops. There is no power for them in it and we will expel them from it in humiliation and they are abased. 38 He said: Chiefs, which of you will bring me her throne before they come to me as Muslims? 39 An ‘ifrit of the jinn said: I shall bring you it before you rise from your place. And I am strong, trustworthy for it. 40 The one who had knowledge of the Book said: I shall bring you it before your glance returns to you. Then when he saw it fixed before him he said: This is of my lord’s favour to test me whether I thank or am ungrateful. And he who has thanked, he only thanks for his soul. And he who was ungrateful, my lord is rich, noble. 41 He said: Disguise her throne for her; we shall see whether she is guided or is of those who are not guided. 42 So when she came it was said: Is your throne thus? She said: It is as though it were it. And we were given the knowledge before her and were Muslims. 43 And what she used to worship instead of Allah blocked her. She was of a kafir people. 44 It was said to her: Enter the sarh. Then when she saw it she thought it a depth and uncovered her legs. He said: It is a sarh, polished, of crystal. She said: Lord, I have wronged myself and I have surrendered with Sulayman to Lah, lord of the ‘alamin. 45 And we sent to Thamud their brother Salih: Worship Allah. Then behold, they are two disputing parties. 46 He said: People, why do you seek to hasten with the evil deed before the good? Why do you not ask Allah for forgiveness? Perhaps you will be shown mercy. 47 They said: We ascribe an evil omen to you and to him with you. He said: Your evil omen is with Allah. Rather, you are people who are being tried. 48 And there were in the city nine bands corrupting in the land and not reforming. 49 They said: Let us swear to one another by Allah that we shall ‘put him up for the night’ and his family. Then we will say to his protector: We did not witness the destruction of his family and we are truthful. 50 And they made a deception and we made a deception when they do not perceive. 51 So look how the result of their deception was that we destroyed them and their people all. 52 So those are their houses, ruined because they wronged. In that there are signs for people who know. 53 And we saved those who believed and were fearing. 54 And Lut when he said to his people: Do you commit fahishah while you see? 55 Do you go with the men in lust instead of the women? Rather, you are ignorant people. 56 But his people’s answer was nothing but that they said: Remove Lut’s family from your village. They are people who purify. 57 So we saved him and his family except his woman. We determined that she be of the remaining. 58 And we rained upon them a rain and evil was the rain of the warned. 59 Say: Praise be to Lah and peace be upon his slaves, those he has chosen. Is Allah better or what they associate? 60 Or he who created the skies and the Earth and sent down for you water from the sky? And we caused gardens of exultant joy to grow thereby. It was not for you to cause their trees to grow. Is there a god with Allah? Rather, they are people who place on the same level. 61 Or who made the Earth a domicile and made its interstice rivers and made for it stabilisers and made between the two seas a barrier? Is there a god with Allah? Rather, most of them do not know. 62 Or he who answers the forced one when he has invoked him and removes the evil and makes you successors of the Earth? Is there a god with Allah? Little is what you remember. 63 Or he who guides you in the darknesses of the land and the sea and he who sends the winds as good news in front of his mercy? Is there a god with Allah? Exalted be Allah above what they associate! 64 Or he who begins the creation then repeats it and he who provides you from the sky and the Earth? Is there a god with Allah? Say: Bring your proof if you are truthful. 65 Say: No-one in the skies and the Earth knows the ghayb but Allah and they do not perceive when they are raised. 66 Rather, has their knowledge regarding the hereafter been arrested? Rather, they are in doubt about it. Rather, they are blind about it. 67 And those who have disbelieved have said: When we were dirt, and our fathers, are we brought out? 68 We were promised this, we and our fathers, before. This is nothing but the tales of the first ones. 69 Say: Travel in the Earth and look how the result of the criminals was. 70 And do not grieve over them nor be in anxiety from what they deceive. 71 And they say: When is this promise if you are truthful? 72 Say: Perhaps some of that which you seek to hasten has followed for you. 73 And your lord is a possessor of favour for people but most of them do not thank. 74 And your lord knows what their chests conceal and what they reveal. 75 And there is no absent thing in the sky and the Earth but is in a clear book. 76 This quran relates to the Banu Isra’il, most of that which they differ about. 77 And it is a guidance and a mercy for the believers. 78 Your lord decides between them with his judgment and he is the mighty, the learned. 79 So put your trust in Allah. You are on the obvious truth. 80 You do not make the dead hear nor make the deaf hear the call when they have turned fleeing. 81 And you do not guide the blind from their error. You do not make one hear except him who believes in our verses so they are Muslims. 82 And when the speech fell against them, we brought out for them a beast from the Earth speaking to them: People were not certain of our verses. 83 And on a day we gather from every nation a company of those who say that our verses are a lie so they are parcelled out. 84 Until when they had come he said: Did you say that my verses were a lie and did not fully understand them in knowledge or what you used to do? 85 And the speech fell against them because they had wronged so they do not speak. 86 Have they not seen that we made the night that they might dwell in it and the day as something insightful? In that there are signs for people who believe. 87 And on a day it is blown on the trumpet and he in the skies and he on the Earth was terrified except him Allah has willed. And all came to him humbled. 88 And you see the mountains thinking them solid while they pass as the passing of the clouds. Allah’s production, the one who perfected everything. He is an expert in what you do. 89 He who has come with the good deed, his is better than it and they are safe from dread on that day. 90 And he who has come with the evil deed, their faces were thrust into the fire. Are you recompensed but for what you used to do? 91 I have only been commanded to worship the lord of this country, who has declared it sacred. And his is everything. And I have been commanded to be of the Muslims 92 And that I read the Quran. So he who has been guided then he is only guided for himself. And he who has strayed then say: I am only of the warners. 93 And say: Praise be to Lah. I shall show you his verses and you will know them. And your lord is not unaware of what you do.
