1 Alif lam mim. 2 The tanzil of the book. There is no doubt therein, from the lord of the ‘alamin. 3 Or do they say: He has fabricated it? Rather, it is the truth from your lord that you may warn a people whom no nadhir has come to before you; perhaps they will be guided. 4 Allah is the one who created the skies and the Earth and what is between them in six days. Then he ascended the throne. You have no protector or intercessor instead of him. So do you not remember? 5 He contrives the affair from the sky to the Earth then it ascends to him on a day whose measure was 1,000 years of what you count. 6 That is the knower of the ghayb and the testimony, the mighty, the merciful. 7 The one who protected everything he created and he began the creation of man from clay 8 Then he made his issue from a descendancy of base water. 9 Then he smoothed him and blew into him from his spirit and made you hearing and vision and hearts. Little is what you thank. 10 And they said: When we have strayed in the Earth are we in a new creation? Rather, they are kafirun in the meeting of their lord. 11 Say: The angel of death who has been entrusted with you causes you to die. Then to your lord you are returned. 12 And if you saw when the criminals hang their heads before their lord. Our lord, we have seen and heard, so return us, we shall do a righteous deed. We are certain. 13 And had we willed we would have given every soul its guidance but the speech from me has been confirmed: I will fill Jahannam with jinn and people, all. 14 So taste because you forgot the meeting of this day of yours. We have forgotten you. And taste the torture of perpetuity for what you used to do. 15 Only those who when they have been reminded of them have fallen doing sujud and have praised with the praise of their lord believe in our verses. And they are not arrogant. 16 They withdraw their sides from the beds, they invoke their lord in fear and greed and spend of what we have provided them. 17 So a soul does not know what has been hidden for them of an eye anti-inflammatory as a recompense for what they used to do. 18 Then is he who was a believer like him who was a fasiq? They are not equal. 19 As for those who have believed and have done the righteous deeds, theirs are the jannat of shelter as a lodging for what they used to do. 20 And as for those who have been dissolute, their shelter is the fire. Every time they wanted to come out of it they were returned to it and it was said to them: Taste the torture of the fire which you used to call a lie. 21 And we cause them to taste of the nearer torture without the bigger torture; perhaps they will return. 22 And who is more unjust than he who has been reminded of his lord’s verses then has turned away from them? We take vengeance on the criminals. 23 And we gave Musa the Book so do not be in doubt about his meeting. And we made it guidance for the Banu Isra’il. 24 And we made leaders among them guiding by our command when they were patient and were certain of our verses. 25 Your lord, he decides between them on the day of resurrection concerning what they used to differ in. 26 Has it not guided for them, how many we destroyed before them of the centuries? They walk in their dwellings. In that there are signs. So do they not hear? 27 Have they not seen that we drive the water to the land without vegetation then we bring out therewith a green crop? Their cattle and themselves eat of it. Do they not see? 28 And they say: When is this conquest if you are truthful? 29 Say: On the day of conquest their faith does not benefit those who have disbelieved nor are they given respite. 30 So turn away from them and wait. They are waiting.
