S 35 (43) Fatir

1 Praise be to Lah, splitter of the skies and the Earth, maker of the angels as messengers. Possessors of wings, two and three and four. He increases in creation what he wills. Allah is mighty over everything. 2 What Allah offers for people of mercy, there is no withholder of it. And what he withholds, there is no sender of it after it. And he is the mighty, the wise. 3 People, remember Allah’s grace upon you. Is there any creator other than Allah who provides you from the sky and the Earth? There is no god but him. So how are you deluded? 4 And if they accuse you of lying then messengers before you were accused of lying. And to Allah are the matters returned. 5 People, Allah’s promise is true. So do not let the dunya life delude you nor let the deluder delude you about Allah. 6 The Devil is an enemy to you. So take him as an enemy. He only calls his party to be of the companions of the blaze. 7 Those who have disbelieved, theirs is severe torture and those who have believed and have done the righteous deeds, theirs is forgiveness and a big wage. 8 So is he whom the evil of his deed has been adorned for and he has seen it as good? So Allah misguides whom he wills and guides whom he wills. So do not let your soul go upon them in regrets. Allah is a knower of what they do. 9 And Allah is the one who has sent the winds and they rouse clouds and we have driven them to a dead country and we have vivified therewith the Earth after its death. Thus is the resurrection. 10 He who used to want honour then Lah’s is all the honour. To him ascend the good words and the righteous deed, he raises it. And those who deceive evil things, theirs is severe torture and the deception of those, it perishes. 11 And Allah created you from dirt then from a drop then he made you pairs. And no female bears or lays except with his knowledge. And no longevous man is granted long life nor is reduced from his age but it is in a book. That is easy for Allah. 12 And the two seas are not equal. This one is freshwater, sweet water, palatable is its drink, and this one is salt, salty. And from each you eat fresh meat and remove a bijou wearing it. And you see the ships in it, ploughing, that you may seek of his favour and perhaps you thank. 13 He inserts the night into the day and inserts the day into the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running for a designated term. That is Allah, your lord. His is the dominion. And those you invoke instead of him do not possess a pellicle. 14 If you invoke them they do not hear your invocation and had they heard they would not have responded to you. And on the day of resurrection they deny your shirk. And the like of an expert does not inform you. 15 People, you are the poor to Allah and Allah, he is the rich, the praiseworthy. 16 If he wills he will do away with you and bring a new creation. 17 And that is not mighty upon Allah. 18 And a bearer does not bear another’s burden. And if a laden one calls to its load, none of it is carried even if he was a relative. You only warn those who fear their lord in the ghayb and they have performed salat. And he who has purified himself, then he only purifies himself for himself. And to Allah is the destiny. 19 And not equal is the blind man and the sighted. 20 Nor the darknesses nor the light. 21 Nor the shade nor the heat. 22 And not equal are the living nor the dead. Allah makes him he wills hear and you are not going to make those in the graves hear. 23 You are nothing but a nadhir. 24 We have sent you with the truth as a bearer of good news and as a nadhir. And there is no nation but has passed away in it a nadhir. 25 And if they call you a liar, those before them accused of lying. Their messengers came to them with the proofs and with the zubur and with the bright Book. 26 Then I took those who had disbelieved and how a denial was! 27 Have you not seen that Allah has sent down water from the sky then we have brought out therewith fruits of their different colours? And of the mountains there are tracts, white and red of their different colours and jet black, black. 28 And of people and beasts and cattle of their different colours thus. Only the scholars fear Allah of his slaves. Allah is mighty, a forgiver. 29 Those who read Allah’s book and have performed salat and spent of what we have provided them with secretly and publicly hope for trade that will not perish 30 That he may give them their wages in full and increase them from his favour. He is a forgiver, grateful. 31 And which we have inspired you with of the book. It is the truth, confirming what is in front of it. Allah is an expert in his slaves, a seer. 32 Then we caused those we have chosen of our slaves to inherit the book. And among them is one who wrongs himself and among them is one who is frugal and among them is one who is excelling in the good things with Allah’s permission. That is the big favour. 33 Jannat of ‘Adn, they enter them. They are adorned therein with bracelets of gold, and pearls, and their garment is silk. 34 And they said: Praise be to Lah, the one who has removed the sadness from us. Our lord is a forgiver, grateful. 35 The one who has stationed us in the home of raising from his favour. Exhaustion does not touch us therein nor does fatigue touch us therein. 36 And those who have disbelieved, theirs is the fire of Jahannam. It is not decided for them that they die and none of its torture is lightened from them. Thus do we recompense every ingrate. 37 And they shout therein: Our lord, take us out; we will do righteously other than that which we used to do. Did we not prolong your life what he who has remembered would remember therein? And the nadhir came to you. So taste, and the wrongdoers have no helper. 38 Allah is a knower of the ghayb of the skies and the Earth. He is learned in that of the chests. 39 He is the one who made you successors on the Earth. And he who has disbelieved, upon him is his kufr. And their kufr does not increase the kafirun with their lord except as intense hatred. Nor does their kufr increase the kafirun except as loss. 40 Say: Have you seen your partners whom you invoke instead of Allah? Show me what they have created of the Earth or do they have a share in the skies? Or have we given them a book and they are on a proof therefrom? Rather, the wrongdoers promise one another nothing but delusion. 41 Allah holds the skies and the Earth lest they disappear. And if they disappeared no-one after him would restrain them. He was clement, a forgiver. 42 And they have sworn by Allah the strongest of their oaths if a nadhir came to them they would be more guided than one of the nations. But when a nadhir came to them it did not increase them except in aversion. 43 Arrogance in the land and the deception of evil and the evil deception does not surround except its people. Then do they look except for the sunnah of the first ones? But you will not find change to Allah’s sunnah nor will you find alteration to Allah’s sunnah. 44 Have they not travelled in the Earth and looked how the result of those before them was? And they were stronger than they in power. And Allah was not that anything in the skies or on the Earth should thwart him. He was learned, capable. 45 And were Allah to censure people for what they have earned he would not have left on its back any beast. But he delays them to a designated term. So when their term has come then Allah was a seer of his slaves.
