1 People, fear your lord who created you from one soul and created from it its husband and broadcast from them many men--and women. And fear Allah whom you ask and the wombs. Allah was a watchman over you. 2 And give orphans their money and do not exchange the malignant with the good and do not consume their money to your money. It was a great hub. 3 And if you fear not being equitable to the orphans then futter what was agreeable to you of the women--two and three and four. But if you fear not acting justly then one or what your right hands have possessed. That is more appropriate that you may not oppress. 4 And give the women their charities nihlatan. But if they remit to you of anything of it of themselves, then consume it hani’an mari’an. 5 And do not give the fools your money which Allah has made a qiyam for you but provide them therewith and clothe them and speak to them kindly. 6 And test the orphans until when they have reached nikah. Then if you perceive maturity in them then deliver to them their money and do not consume it with profligacy and bidar lest they grow up. And whoever was rich let him show restraint. And whoever was poor let him consume with kindness. So when you deliver to them their money make them testify. And Allah was sufficient as a noble. 7 For the men a share of what the parents and close relatives have left and for the women a share of what the parents and close relatives have left, be it little or much of it--an imposed share. 8 And when the division of relatives and orphans and the needy is present, provide them from it and say a known speech to them. 9 And let fear those who, had they left weak offspring behind them, would have feared for them. So fear Allah and let them say correct speech. 10 Those who consume the monies of orphans unjustly, they only consume fire in their bellies and they will roast in a blaze. 11 Allah advises you concerning your children: for the male the like of the share of two females. But if there are women above two, then for them is two thirds of what he has left. And if there is one, then for her is half. And for his parents, for each of them a sixth of what he has left, if he has a child. But if he had no child, and his parents have inherited from him, then for his mother a third. And if he has brothers, then for his mother a sixth after a bequest he makes or debt. Your parents and your sons--you do not know which of them is closer to you in benefit. An obligation from Allah. Allah was learned, wise. 12 And for you is half of what your husbands have left if they did not have a child. But if they have a child then for you is a quarter of what they have left after they make a bequest or a debt. And for them is a quarter of what you have left if you did not have a child. But if you do not have a child then for them is an eighth of what you have left after a bequest you make or a debt. And if a man who is inherited is a kalalah, or a woman, and he has a brother or sister, then for each of them a sixth. But if they are more than that, then they are partners in a third after a bequest is made or a debt without harming. Advice from Allah. And Allah is learned, clement. 13 Those are Allah’s hudud and he who obeys Allah and his messenger, he admits him to jannat, rivers running beneath them, abiding therein indefinitely. And that is the great win. 14 And he who disobeys Allah and his messenger and transgresses his hudud--he admits him to the fire, abiding indefinitely therein. And his is base torture. 15 And those who commit fahishah of your women then call witnesses against them, four among you. And if they testify then detain them in the houses until death causes them to die or Allah makes a way for them. 16 And those two men who commit it among you, harm them. But if they repent and reform then turn away from them. Allah was repenting, merciful. 17 Repentance is only on Allah for those who do evil in ignorance then repent soon afterwards. Then those, Allah repents for them and Allah was learned, wise. 18 And repentance is not for those who do evil deeds until when death has come to one of them, he has said: I have repented now. Nor those who die when they are kuffar. Those--we have prepared for them painful torture. 19 Those who have believed, it is not lawful for you to inherit women unwillingly. And do not constrain them to steal some of what you have given them except that they commit obvious fahishah. And live with them with kindness. But if you dislike them, then perhaps you dislike a thing and Allah has put much good in it. 20 And if you want to replace a husband with a husband and you have given one of them a qintar, do not take anything from it. Would you take it by defamation and obvious sin? 21 And how could you take it when one of you has offered as a ransom to the other and they have taken a thick covenant from you? 22 And do not futter what your father futtered of women except what has preceded. It was fahishah and detestation and evil was the way. 23 Forbidden to you have been your mothers and your daughters and your sisters and your paternal aunts and your maternal aunts and the daughters of a brother and the daughters of a sister and your mothers who have suckled you and your sisters from suckling and the mothers of your women and your step-daughters who are in your guardianship of your women whom you have had relations with. But if you have not had relations with them then there is no offence upon you. And the wives of your sons who are from your backbones and that you gather between two sisters except what has preceded. Allah was a forgiver, merciful. 24 And the muhsanat of the women except what your right hands have possessed, Allah's book upon you. And made lawful for you is what is beyond that, that you seek with your money, being fortified, not musafihun. So what you have enjoyed of it from them, give them their wages as an obligation. And there is no transgression on you concerning what you have agreed upon after the obligation. Allah was learned, wise. 25 And he among you who could not afford to futter the muhsanat, the believers, then what your right hands have possessed of your maids, the believers. And Allah knows your faith. You are of one another. So futter them with the permission of their family and give them their wages with kindness. Muhsanat, not musafihat nor takers of paramours. Then when they have been fortified and if they commit fahishah, then upon them is half of what is upon the muhsanat of torture. That is for him among you who has feared sin, and that you be patient is better for you. And Allah is a forgiver, merciful. 26 Allah wants to make clear for you and guide you to the ways of those before you and repent for you. And Allah is learned, wise. 27 And Allah wants to repent for you, but those who follow lusts want you to incline greatly. 28 Allah wants to lighten for you. And man was created weak. 29 Those who have believed, do not consume your money between yourselves wrongly but that there be trade by mutual consent among you. And do not kill yourselves. Allah was merciful to you. 30 And he who does that in unfairness and injustice, we will roast him in a fire. And that was easy for Allah. 31 If you avoid major things of what you are forbidden we atone for you your evil deeds and admit you to an honoured entrance. 32 And do not wish for what Allah has favoured some of you over others with. For men there is a share of what they have earned and for women a share of what they have earned. And ask Allah from his favour. Allah was learned in everything. 33 And for all have we made mawali of what parents and close relatives have left. And those who have pledged your oaths--then give them their share. Allah was a witness over everything. 34 Men are supporters of women because Allah has preferred some of them to others and because they have spent from their monies. So righteous women are obedient, guarding for the ghayb what Allah has guarded. And those whose recalcitrance you fear, warn them and abandon them in beds and hit them. Then if they obey you do not seek a way against them. Allah was high, big. 35 And if you fear discord between them, send an arbitrator from his family and an arbitrator from her family. If they wish for peace-making Allah reconciles them. Allah was learned, an expert. 36 And worship Allah and do not associate with him at all. And doing good to parents and to relatives and orphans and the needy and the near neighbour and the distant neighbour and the companion at your side and the traveller and what your right hands have possessed. Allah does not love him who was self-conceited, proud. 37 Those who are stingy and command people stinginess and conceal what Allah has given them from his favour--and we have prepared for the kafirun base torture. 38 And those who spend their monies that people may see and do not believe in Allah or the last day and he who has the Devil for a qarin, then evil was it for a qarin. 39 And what is against them had they believed in Allah and the last day and spent from what Allah had provided them with? And Allah was learned in them. 40 Allah does not wrong the weight of a red ant. And if it be a good deed he doubles it and gives a great wage from him. 41 So how is it when we bring from every nation a witness and bring you against these as a witness? 42 On that day those who have disbelieved and disobeyed the messenger wish the Earth had been smoothed with them and they do not conceal from Allah a hadith. 43 Those who have believed, do not approach salat when you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying nor junub except passing a way until you have washed. And if you are ill or on a journey or one of you has come from faeces or has touched women and have not found water then do tayammum with good highland, then wipe your faces and your hands. Allah was pardoning, a forgiver. 44 Have you not looked at those who were given a share of the book buying error and wanting you to stray from the way? 45 And Allah knows your enemies. And Allah was sufficient as a protector and Allah was sufficient as a helper. 46 Of those who were Jewish, they corrupt the words from its places and say: We have heard and disobeyed and: Hear not having been heard and: Raina, distorting with their tongues and a stab into the religion. And had they said: We have heard and obeyed and: Hear and look at us, it would have been better for them and more appropriate. But Allah has cursed them for their kufr so they do not believe except a little. 47 Those who have been given the Book, believe in what we have sent down confirming what you have before we efface faces and repel them onto their backsides or curse them as we cursed the companions of the Sabbath! And Allah’s command was done. 48 Allah does not forgive that he be associated with but forgives what is other than that, whom he wills. And he who associates with Allah has fabricated a great sin. 49 Have you not looked at those who purify themselves? Rather, Allah purifies whom he wills and they are not wronged an integument. 50 Look how they fabricate the lie against Allah, and it was sufficient as an obvious sin. 51 Have you not looked at those who were given a share of the Book? They believe in al-jibt and al-taghut and say for those who have disbelieved: These are more guided than those who have believed as to the way. 52 Those are the ones whom Allah has cursed and he whom Allah curses, you will not find a helper for him. 53 Or do they have a share in the dominion? Then they would not give people a hilum. 54 Or do they envy people for what Allah has given them from his favour? But we gave Ibrahim’s family the Book and the Wisdom and we gave them a great dominion. 55 Then of them are those who believed in him and of them those who turned from him and sufficient was Jahannam as a blaze. 56 Those who have disbelieved in our verses shall we roast in a fire. Every time their skins were ripe we changed them for skins other than them that they may taste the torture. Allah was great, wise. 57 And those who have believed and have done good deeds, we shall admit them to jannat, rivers running beneath them, abiding therein forever. Theirs therein are purified husbands and we admit them to shady shade. 58 Allah commands you to render trusts to their people and when you judge between people to judge with justice. Allah excellently advises you therewith. Allah was a hearer, a seer. 59 Those who have believed, obey Allah and obey the messenger and those in command among you. Then if you dispute concerning something send it back to Allah and the messenger if you are believing in Allah and the last day. That is better and more seemly for interpretation. 60 Have you not looked at those who claim that they have believed in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down before you? They want to go to law to al-taghut and they had been commanded to renounce it. And the Devil wants to mislead them far away. 61 And when it was said to them: Come to what Allah has sent down and to the messenger, you saw the hypocrites turning away from you in disaffection. 62 So how when a calamity has befallen them for what their hands have offered then they have come to you swearing by Allah: We did not want but doing good and reconciliation? 63 Those are the ones who--Allah knows what is in their hearts so abandon them and advise them and say eloquent speech to them concerning their souls. 64 And we did not send any messenger except to be obeyed with Allah’s permission. And had they when they had wronged themselves come to you and asked Allah for forgiveness and the messenger had asked for forgiveness for them they would have found Allah a repenter, merciful. 65 But no, by your lord, they do not believe until they appoint you as judge concerning what was disputed between them then they do not find in themselves difficulty about what you have decided and surrender. 66 And had we written for them: Kill yourselves or Exit your homes, they would not have done it, except a few of them. And had they done what they are advised to do, it would have been better for them and harder, a confirmation. 67 And then we would have given them from us a great wage. 68 And we would have guided them to a straight path. 69 And those who obey Allah and the messenger, then those are with those whom Allah has graced of the prophets and the truthful and the martyrs and the righteous. And good was those as a fellow. 70 That is Allah’s favour and sufficient was Allah as a knower. 71 Those who have believed, take your precaution and advance in thubat or advance as a whole. 72 And among you is he who is slow, then if a disaster has befallen you has said: Allah graced me when I was not a martyr with them. 73 And if a favour from Allah befell you he would say as though there had been no affection between you and him: Would that I had been with them then I would have had a great win! 74 So let those who buy the dunya life for the hereafter fight in the way of Allah. And he who fights in the way of Allah and is killed or defeats, we give him a great wage. 75 And what is wrong with you, not fighting in the way of Allah and the feeble among the men and the women and the children, those who say: Our lord, take us out of this village, the wrongdoer, its people, and appoint for us from your presence a protector and appoint for us from your presence a helper. 76 Those who have believed fight in the way of Allah and those who have disbelieved fight in the way of al-taghut. So fight the Devil’s protectors. The Devil’s stratagem was weak. 77 Have you not looked at those who--it was said to them: Restrain your hands and establish salat and give zakat? Then when fighting was written upon them, when a party of them fear people as the fear of Allah or more intense fear, and they said: Our lord, why have you written fighting upon us? Had you not delayed for us for a near term? Say: The enjoyment of the dunya is little and the hereafter is better for him who fears and you are not wronged an integument. 78 Wherever you are death overtakes you even if you are in constructed towers. And if good befalls them they say: This is from Allah. And if ill befalls them they say: This is from you. Say: All is from Allah. So what is wrong with these people, almost not understanding a hadith? 79 What has befallen you of good, it is from Allah and what has befallen you of ill, it is from yourself. And we have sent you to the people as a messenger and sufficient was Allah as a witness. 80 He who obeys the messenger has obeyed Allah and he who has turned away--we have not sent you as a keeper over them. 81 And they say: Obedience. Then when they have gone out from you a party of them has contrived other than that which you say. And Allah writes what they contrive. So abandon them and put your trust in Allah. And sufficient was Allah as an agent. 82 Do they not ponder on the Quran? Had it been from other than Allah they would have found therein much discrepancy. 83 And when a matter of security came to them or fear they broadcasted it. And had they sent it back to the messenger and to those in authority among them, those who draw conclusions among them would have known it. And had Allah’s favour not been upon you and his mercy, you would have followed the Devil, except a few. 84 So fight in the way of Allah. You do not direct but yourself. And incite the believers. Perhaps Allah quits the power of those who have disbelieved. And Allah is severer in power and severer in exemplary punishment. 85 He who gives good intercession has a share of it and he who gives evil intercession has a portion of it. And Allah was detestable over everything. 86 And when you have been greeted greet with better than it or return it. Allah was a hasib over everything. 87 Allah--there is no god but him. He shall gather you to the day of resurrection--there is no doubt about it. And who is more truthful than Allah in hadith? 88 So what is wrong with you concerning the hypocrites, two bands? And Allah overturned them for what they earned. Do you want to guide him whom Allah has misguided? And him whom Allah misguides, you will not find a way for him. 89 They have desired you to disbelieve as they have disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take protectors from them until they emigrate in the way of Allah. But if they have turned away, take them and kill them wherever you have found them. And do not take a protector or a helper from them. 90 Except those who join a people which between you and them exists a covenant or have come to you whose chests have spluttered that they fight you or they fight their people. And had Allah willed, he would have given them power over you and they would have fought you. So if they have separated from you and have not fought you and offered you peace then Allah has not made for you a way against them. 91 You will find others wanting to be safe from you and safe from their people. Every time they have returned to fitnah they have been overturned in it. So if they have not detached from you and offered you peace and quit their hands, take them and kill them wherever you have seized them. And those--we have made for you a clear authority against them. 92 And it was not for a believer to kill a believer except by mistake. And he who has killed a believer by mistake then the freeing of a believing neck and bloodwit is paid to his family unless they remit as charity. But if he was from a people hostile to you and he was a believer then the freeing of a believing neck. And if he was from a people with a treaty existing between you and them then bloodwit is paid to his family and the freeing of a believing neck. And he who has not found then fasting for two months consecutively, repentance from Allah. And Allah was learned, wise. 93 And he who kills a believer intentionally then his penalty is Jahannam, abiding therein indefinitely. And Allah was angry with him and has cursed him and has prepared for him great torture. 94 Those who have believed, when you have gone in the way of Allah then ascertain and do not say to one who has offered you the salam: You are not a believer, seeking the manifestation of the dunya life. And with Allah there are many spoils. Thus were you before then Allah was benevolent to you. So ascertain. Allah was an expert in what you do. 95 Not equal are the sitters among the believers, other than the disabled, and those who do jihad in the way of Allah with their monies and their souls. Allah has preferred those who do jihad with their monies and their souls to the sitters in degree. And Allah has promised the best to all. And Allah has preferred those who do jihad to the sitters with a great wage. 96 Degrees from him and forgiveness and mercy. And Allah was a forgiver, merciful. 97 Those whom the angels have caused to die wronging themselves said: In what were you? They said: We were feeble in the land. They said: Was Allah’s land not wide that you might emigrate in it? Then those, their shelter is Jahannam and evil was a destiny. 98 Except the feeble of the men and the women and the children, not capable of a trick and not guiding to a way. 99 And those, perhaps Allah pardons them and Allah was pardoning, a forgiver. 100 And he who emigrates in the way of Allah finds in the land many places of refuge and capacity. And he who leaves his house as an emigrant to Allah and his messenger then death overtakes him then his wage was incumbent on Allah. And Allah was a forgiver, merciful. 101 And when you have travelled in the land then there is no transgression upon you that you shorten salat if you have feared that those who have disbelieved may do fitnah against you. The kafirun are an obvious enemy for you. 102 And when you are among them and establish salat for them, let a party of them stand with you and take their weapons. Then when they have done sujud let them be behind you and another party come, not having prayed, and let them pray with you and take their precautions and their weapons. Those who have disbelieved have wished you to neglect your weapons and your baggage that they might harass you in a single attack. But there is no transgression upon you if there were harm with you because of rain or you were ill that you lay down your weapons. But take your precautions. Allah has prepared for the kafirun base torture. 103 Then when you have finished salat mention Allah standing and sitting and on your sides. But when you have found reassurance establish salat. Salat was a scheduled writing upon the believers. 104 And do not be weak in the pursuit of people. If you are in pain then they are in pain as you are in pain and you hope from Allah what they do not hope. And Allah was learned, wise. 105 We have sent down to you the book in truth that you may judge between people with what Allah has shown you. And do not be an opponent for the traitors. 106 And ask Allah for forgiveness. Allah was a forgiver, merciful. 107 And do not argue for those who betray themselves. Allah does not love him who was a betrayer, sinful. 108 They conceal from people but they do not conceal from Allah and he is with them when they hatch what does not please of speech. And Allah was acquainted with what they do. 109 Here you are, those who have argued for them in the dunya life but who argues with Allah for them on the day of resurrection or who is an agent over them? 110 And he who does ill or wrongs himself then asks Allah for forgiveness finds Allah a forgiver, merciful. 111 And he who earns sin then he only earns it against himself. And Allah was learned, wise. 112 And he who earns a fault or a sin then throws it at an innocent then he has burdened himself with defamation and an obvious sin. 113 And had Allah’s favour not been upon you and his mercy a party of them would have planned to mislead you. But they do not mislead but themselves and they do not harm you at all. And Allah has sent down upon you the book and the wisdom and has taught you what you did not know. And Allah’s favour upon you was great. 114 There is no good in much of their confidential talk except him who commands charity or kindness or peace-making between people. And he who does that seeking Allah’s pleasure then he will give him a great wage. 115 And he who opposes the messenger after what has become clear to him, the guidance, and follows other than the way of the believers, we turn him to what he has given up and roast him in Jahannam and evil was it as a destiny. 116 Allah does not forgive being associated with but forgives what is other than that, whom he wills. And he who associates with Allah has strayed far. 117 They do not invoke instead of him but females and they do not invoke but a stubborn devil. 118 Allah has cursed him and he said: I will take from your slaves an obligatory share. 119 And I will mislead them and arouse desire in them and command them so they shall cut off the ears of cattle and I will command them so they shall change Allah’s creation. And he who takes the Devil as a protector instead of Allah has clearly lost. 120 He promises them and arouses desire in them and the Devil does not promise but delusion. 121 Those--their shelter is Jahannam and they do not find escape from it. 122 And those who have believed and have done the righteous deeds, we shall admit them to jannat, rivers running beneath them, abiding therein forever. A promise of Allah in truth and who is truer than Allah in that spoken? 123 It is not by your wishes nor the wishes of the People of the Book. He who does ill is rewarded for it and does not find for him a protector or helper instead of Allah. 124 And he who does good deeds of male or female and he is a believer then those enter the Jannah and are not wronged an integument. 125 And who is better in religion than he who has surrendered his face to Lah and he is a good-doer and has followed the cult of Ibrahim a Hanif? And Allah took Ibrahim as a friend. 126 Lah’s is what is in the skies and what is on the Earth. And Allah was whole with everything. 127 And they consult you concerning women. Say: Allah advises you concerning them and what is read to them in the book concerning the orphans of the women whom you do not give what has been written for them and you seek to futter them and the needy of the children and to stand for orphans with equity. And what you do of good Allah was learned in it. 128 And if a woman fears recalcitrance or shunning from her husband, then there is no misdemeanour upon them to make peace between them, reconciliation and reconciliation is best. And souls have been called for by scarcity. And if you do good and fear, Allah was an expert in what you do. 129 And you will not be able to act justly among the women even if you desired to and do not incline with all inclination and leave her like one hanging. And if you reconcile and fear then Allah was a forgiver, merciful. 130 And if they separate Allah enriches each from his capacity. And Allah was wide, wise. 131 And Lah’s is what is in the skies and what is on the Earth. And we advised those who had been given the Book before you and you to fear Allah. But if you disbelieve then Lah’s is what is in the skies and what is on the Earth. And Allah was rich, praiseworthy. 132 And Lah’s is what is in the skies and what is on the Earth. And sufficient was Allah as an agent. 133 If he wills he may remove you, people, and bring others. And Allah was capable over that. 134 He who was wanting the recompense of the dunya--then with Allah is the recompense of the dunya and the hereafter. And Allah was a hearer, seeing. 135 Those who have believed, be supporters with equity as witnesses to Lah, even if against yourselves or parents and relatives. If he be rich or poor, for Allah is closer to them. So do not follow desire lest you deviate. And if you distort or turn away then Allah was an expert in what you do. 136 Those who have believed, believe in Allah and his messenger and the book that he sent down upon his messenger and the Book that he sent down before. And he who disbelieves in Allah and his angels and his books and his messengers and the last day, he has strayed far. 137 Those who have believed then disbelieved then believed then disbelieved then increased in kufr--Allah would not forgive them nor guide them on a way. 138 Give the hypocrites good news that theirs is painful torture, 139 Those who take the kafirun as protectors instead of the believers. Do they seek honour with them? But honour is Lah’s, all. 140 And he has sent down upon you in the book that when you have heard Allah’s verses being disbelieved in and mocked do not sit with them until they engage in a hadith other than it. You then would be the like of them. Allah is gathering the hypocrites and the kafirun in Jahannam, all. 141 Those who lie in wait for you. Then if you had a conquest from Allah they would say: Were we not with you? And if the kafirun had a share they would say: Did we not gain mastery over you and protect you from the believers? So Allah judges between you on the day of resurrection and Allah will not make a way for the kafirun over the believers. 142 The hypocrites try to trick Allah and he is tricking them. And when they have stood for salat they have stood lazily, showing off to the people and not remembering Allah except a little. 143 Fluctuating between that, not to those and not to those. And he whom Allah misguides, you will not find a way for him. 144 Those who have believed, do not take the kafirun as protectors instead of the believers. Do you want to make clear authority for Lah against you? 145 The hypocrites are in the lowest depth of the fire and you will not find a helper for them. 146 Except those who have repented and reformed and kept close to Allah and been faithful to their religion for Lah. Then those are with the believers. And Allah will give the believers a great wage. 147 What is Allah doing by your torture if you have been grateful and believed? And Allah was grateful, learned. 148 Allah does not love the publicity of evil of speech except him who has been wronged. And Allah was a hearer, learned. 149 If you reveal good or conceal it or pardon an evil then Allah was a pardoner, capable. 150 Those who disbelieve in Allah and his messengers and want to differentiate between Allah and his messengers and they say: We believe in some and disbelieve in others. And they want to take a way between that. 151 Those, they are the kafirun truly. And we have prepared for the kafirun base torture. 152 And those who have believed in Allah and his messengers and have not differentiated between any of them, those--he will give them their wages. And Allah was a forgiver, merciful. 153 The People of the Book ask you to bring down upon them a book from the sky. And they had asked Musa greater than that and said: Show us Allah overtly. So the thunderbolt took them for their wrongdoing. Then they took the calf after the proofs had come to them then we pardoned for that. And we gave Musa clear authority. 154 And we raised above them the Tur for their covenant and said to them: Enter the gate doing sujud. And we said to them: Do not transgress concerning the Sabbath. And we took from them a thick covenant. 155 So because of their breaking their covenant and their kufr in Allah’s verses and their killing the prophets without right and their saying: Our hearts are uncircumcised. Rather, Allah has stamped them for their kufr so they do not believe except a few. 156 And for their kufr and their speaking great defamation against Maryam. 157 And their saying: We killed the Messiah, Isa son of Maryam, the messenger of Allah. And they did not kill him and they did not crucify him but it was made to appear to them. And those who have differed about it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, of a certainty. 158 Rather, Allah raised him to him. And Allah was mighty, wise. 159 And there is none of the People of the Book but shall believe in him before his death. And on the day of resurrection he is a witness against them. 160 Then for the wrongdoing of those who were Jewish we forbade for them good things that had been permitted for them and for their blocking many from the way of Allah. 161 And their taking of interest when they had been forbidden from it and their consuming the monies of the people unlawfully. And we have prepared for the kafirun among them painful torture. 162 But the firm in knowledge among them and the believers believe in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down before you. And those who perform the salat and those who give the zakat and the believers in Allah and the last day, those, we shall give them a great wage. 163 We have inspired you as we inspired Nuh and the prophets after him and we inspired Ibrahim and Isma’il and Ishaq and Ya’qub and the tribes and Isa and Ayyub and Yunus and Harun and Sulayman and we gave Dawud a Zabur. 164 And messengers, we have related them to you before and messengers that we have not related to you. And Allah spoke to Musa in conversation. 165 Messengers bringing good news and warners so that people would have no argument against Allah after the messengers. And Allah was mighty, wise. 166 But Allah bears witness to what he has sent down to you. He has sent it down with his knowledge and the angels bear witness. And Allah was sufficient as a witness. 167 Those who have disbelieved and have prevented from the way of Allah, they have strayed far. 168 Those who have disbelieved and have wronged, Allah was not to forgive them nor to guide them on a way. 169 Except on the way to Jahannam, abiding therein forever. And that was an easy thing for Allah. 170 People, the messenger has come to you with the truth from your lord so believe. It is better for you. But if you disbelieve, then Lah’s is what is in the skies and the Earth. And Allah was learned, wise. 171 People of the Book, do not exceed in your religion nor say about Allah but the truth. The Messiah Isa Son Of Maryam is only Allah’s messenger and his word which he threw to Maryam and spirit from him. So believe in Allah and his messengers and do not say Three. Cease; it is better for you. Allah is only one god. Praise be to him that he should have a child! His is what is in the skies and what is on the Earth. And Allah was sufficient as an agent. 172 The Messiah will not disdain to be a slave of Lah’s nor the angels, the Muqarrabun. And those who disdain his worship and are arrogant, he gathers them to him, all. 173 And as for those who have believed and have done the righteous deeds, he pays them their wages in full and increases them from his favour. And as for those who have disdained and have been arrogant, he inflicts painful torture upon them and they do not find for them a protector or helper instead of Allah. 174 People, proof has come to you from your lord and we have sent down to you a clear light. 175 And as for those who have believed in Allah and have fasted to him, he will admit to mercy from him and favour and guide them to him on a straight path. 176 They enquire of you. Say: Allah advises you concerning the kalalah. If a man has perished not having a child and he has a sister then hers is half of what he has left. And he inherits from her if she has no child. But if there are two females then theirs is two-thirds of what he has left. But if they are brothers, men and women, then for the male the like of the share of the two females. Allah makes clear for you lest you stray. And Allah is learned in everything.
