1 Ha mim. 2 By the clear book. 3 We sent it down on a blessed night. We were warners. 4 Thereon is determined every wise matter, 5 A matter from us. We were dispatchers, 6 As mercy from your lord. He is the hearer, the learned, 7 Lord of the skies and the Earth and what is between them if you are certain. 8 There is no god but him. He vivifies and causes to die, your lord and the lord of your first fathers. 9 Rather, they are playing in doubt. 10 So watch for a day the sky brings clear smoke 11 That covers the people. This is painful torture. 12 Our lord, remove the torture from us. We are believers! 13 How can they have the remembrance when an obvious messenger has come to them 14 Then they have turned away from him and said: One taught, a jinni-possessed man? 15 We are removing the torture a little. You are returning. 16 On a day we wipe out with the biggest wiping-out. We are avengers. 17 And we tried before them Fir’awn’s people and a noble messenger came to them: 18 Deliver to me Allah’s slaves. I am a trustworthy messenger to you. 19 And: Do not exalt yourselves against Allah. I come to you with clear authority. 20 And I have taken refuge with my lord and your lord lest you stone me. 21 And if you have not believed me, leave me. 22 So he invoked his lord: These are criminal people. 23 So make my slaves travel by night at night. You are followed. 24 And leave the sea leisurely. They are a drowned troop. 25 How many they left of jannat and springs 26 And plantations and a noble place 27 And luxuriousness they used to be merry in! 28 Thus. And we caused other people to inherit them. 29 And the sky and the Earth did not weep for them and they were not given respite. 30 And we saved the Banu Isra’il from the base torture, 31 From Fir’awn. He was haughty, among the extravagant. 32 And we chose them by knowledge over the ‘alamin. 33 And we gave them of the signs what therein was a clear affliction. 34 These say: 35 It is nothing but our first death and we are not going to be resurrected. 36 So bring our fathers if you are truthful. 37 Are they better or Tubba’’s people and those before them? We destroyed them. They were criminals. 38 And we did not create the skies and the Earth and what is between them playing. 39 We did not create them two but in truth but most of them do not know. 40 The day of decision is an appointed time for them all. 41 On a day mawla does not avail mawla at all and they are not helped. 42 Except him Allah has had mercy on. He is the mighty, the merciful. 43 The zaqqum tree 44 Is the food of the immoral man. 45 Like boiling oil it boils in the bellies. 46 Like the boiling of boiling water. 47 Take him and carry him into the midst of jahim 48 Then pour over his head some of the torture of boiling water. 49 Taste! You are the mighty, the noble. 50 This is what you used to doubt. 51 The fearers are in a secure place, 52 In jannat and springs, 53 Wearing sundus and istabraq facing one another. 54 Thus. And we have married them to hur ‘in. 55 They call therein for every fruit, secure. 56 They do not taste therein death except the first death. And he has protected them from the torture of jahim. 57 Favour from your lord. That is the great win. 58 So indeed we have facilitated it in your tongue; perhaps they will remember. 59 So watch. They are watching.
