1 Ha mim. 2 The tanzil of the book from Allah, the mighty, the wise. 3 We did not create the skies and the Earth and what is between them except in truth and a designated term. And those who have disbelieved, from what they were warned are turning away. 4 Say: Have you seen what you invoke instead of Allah? Show me what they have created of the Earth or do they have a share in the skies? Bring me a book before this or a trace of knowledge if you are truthful. 5 And who is more astray than he who invokes instead of Allah, who do not answer him until the day of resurrection and they are unaware of their invocation? 6 And when they were gathered they were enemies to them and were kafirun of their worship. 7 And when our clear verses are read to them, those who have disbelieved the truth said when it came to them: This is obvious magic. 8 Or they say: He has fabricated it. Say: If I have fabricated it then you are not able for me against Allah at all. He is a knower of what you pour out concerning it. Sufficient was he as a witness between me and you and he is the forgiver, the merciful. 9 Say: I am not an innovation among the messengers and I do not know what will be done with me or with you. I do not follow but what I am inspired with and I am nothing but an obvious nadhir. 10 Say: Have you seen if it was from Allah and you have disbelieved in it and a witness from the Banu Isra’il has borne witness to the like thereof and he has believed and you were arrogant? Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. 11 And those who have disbelieved have said to those who have believed: Had it been good they would not have preceded us to it. And when they were not guided by it they will say: This is an ancient defamation. 12 And before it is Musa's book as a guideline and a mercy. And this is a book confirming in Arabic to warn those who have done wrong and good news for the good-doers. 13 Those who have said: Our lord is Allah, then have become straight, there is no fear upon them nor do they grieve. 14 Those are the companions of the Jannah, abiding therein indefinitely, a recompense for what they used to do. 15 And we have advised man acting well towards his parents. His mother carried him in dislike and laid him in dislike. And his carrying and his weaning is 30 months until when he has reached his maturity and has reached 40 years he has said: Lord, grant me the power to thank for your grace which you have given me and my parents and to do a righteous deed that pleases him and reform for me in my offspring. I have repented to you and I am of the Muslims. 16 Those are the ones we accept the best of what they have done from and overlook their evil deeds, among the companions of the Jannah. The promise of truth that they were promised. 17 And the one who has said to his parents: Uff to you! Do you promise me that I shall be taken out when the centuries have passed away before me? And they ask Allah for help. Woe to you, believe! Allah’s promise is true. But he says: This is nothing but tales of the first ones. 18 Those are the ones whom the speech was confirmed against in nations that have passed away before them of jinn and man. They were losers. 19 And for all are degrees for what they have done and that he may pay them in full for their deeds. And they are not wronged. 20 And on a day those who have disbelieved are exposed to the fire. You removed your good things in your dunya life and enjoyed them. So today you are recompensed with the torture of abasement because you were arrogant on the Earth without right and because you were dissolute. 21 And mention Ad’s brother when he warned his people in Al-Ahqaf. And the nudhur had passed away in front of him and behind him. That you do not worship but Allah. I fear for you the torture of a great day. 22 They said: Did you come to delude us from our gods? Then bring us what you promise us if you are of the truthful. 23 He said: The knowledge is only with Allah and I inform you of what I have been sent with but I see you an ignorant people. 24 So when they saw it, an exhibitor approaching their valleys, they said: An exhibitor bringing us rain. Rather, it is what you asked to hasten, a wind wherein is painful torture 25 Destroying everything by its lord’s command. Then they became unseen except their dwellings. Thus do we recompense the criminal people. 26 And we established them in what we have not established you in and we made for them hearing and eyesight and hearts. But their hearing and their eyesight and their hearts did not avail them at all when they were disaffirming Allah’s signs and what they used to mock encompassed them. 27 And we destroyed what is around you of the villages and we displayed the signs; perhaps they will return. 28 So why did those they took instead of Allah as a qurban, as gods, not help them? Rather, they strayed from them. And that is their falsehood and what they were fabricating. 29 And when we turned a group of the jinn to you they listen to the Quran. And when they had attended it they said: Pay attention. And when it had concluded they turned back to their people as warners. 30 They said: Our people, we have heard a book sent down after Musa confirming what is in front of it, guiding to the truth and to a straight way. 31 Our people, answer Allah’s caller and believe in him. He forgives you of your sins and saves you from painful torture. 32 And he who does not answer Allah’s caller, there is no escape on the Earth and he has no protectors instead of him. Those are in obvious error. 33 Have they not seen that Allah is the one who created the skies and the Earth and was not tired by their creation, able to vivify the dead? Yes, he is mighty over everything. 34 And on a day those who have disbelieved are displayed on the fire. Is this not the truth? They said: Yes, by our lord. He said: Then taste the torture because you used to disbelieve. 35 So be patient as the determined of the messengers were patient and do not ask to hasten for them. As though they, on a day they see what they are promised, had not remained but an hour of a day. A notice. But is destroyed but the fasiq people?
