1 Those who have disbelieved and have blocked from the way of Allah, he has caused their deeds to stray. 2 And those who have believed and have done the righteous deeds and have believed in what has been sent down upon Muhammad, and it is the truth from their lord, he has atoned for them their evil deeds and has improved their mindfulness. 3 That is because those who have disbelieved have followed falsehood and that those who have believed have followed the truth from their lord. Thus does Allah give to people their similitudes. 4 So when you have met those who have disbelieved strike the necks until when you have weakened them then attach the shackle firmly then either a favour afterwards or a ransom until the war lays its burdens. That. And if Allah willed he would have revenged himself on them but to test some of you by others. And those who have been killed in the way of Allah, he will not cause their deeds to stray. 5 He will guide them and improve their mindfulness 6 And admit them to the Jannah which he has informed them of. 7 Those who have believed, if you help Allah he helps you and makes your feet stable. 8 But those who have disbelieved, unhappiness is theirs and he has caused their deeds to stray. 9 That is because they have hated what Allah has sent down so he has made their deeds worthless. 10 Have they not travelled on the Earth and looked how the result of those before them was? Allah destroyed them and for the kafirun its likenesses. 11 That is because Allah is a mawla of those who have believed and that the kafirun have no mawla. 12 Allah admits those who have believed and have done good deeds to jannat, rivers running beneath them. And those who have disbelieved enjoy and eat as cattle eat and the fire is a shelter for them. 13 And how many of a village that was more severe in strength than your village which has expelled you? We destroyed them so they have no helper. 14 So is he who was on a proof from his lord like him for whom the evil of his deed has been adorned and they have followed their desires? 15 A similitude of the Jannah which the fearers have been promised. Therein are rivers of water that is not stagnant and rivers of milk whose taste has not changed and rivers of wine, delicious to the drinkers, and rivers of clarified honey and theirs therein of all the fruits and forgiveness from their lord like those who abide indefinitely in the fire and have been given to drink boiling water and it has cut their intestines up. 16 And among them are those who listen to you until when they have gone out from you have said to those who have been given knowledge: What did he say earlier? Those are the ones whose hearts Allah has sealed and they have followed their desires. 17 And those who have been guided, he has increased them in guidance and has given them their taqwa. 18 So are they looking but for the Hour that it should come to them suddenly? But its low things have come. So how is their remembrance for them when it has come to them? 19 So know that there is no god but Allah and ask for forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and women. And Allah knows your wavering and your shelter. 20 And those who have believed say: Why has a surah not been sent down? But when a muhkam surah has been sent down and fighting has been mentioned therein you have seen those in whose hearts is disease looking at you--a look of the one swooning over it from death. But more appropriate for them 21 Is obedience and kind speech. And when he has decided the matter then had they been truthful to Allah it would have been better for them. 22 Then would you perhaps, if you appointed, cause corruption in the land and cut up your wombs? 23 Those are the ones whom Allah has cursed so he has made them deaf and blinded their eyesight. 24 So do they not ponder on the Quran or are on hearts their locks? 25 Those who have returned on their backsides after the guidance has become clear to them, the Devil has enticed for them and has given them false hope. 26 That is because they have said to those who have hated what Allah has sent down: We shall obey you in some of the matter. And Allah knows their secrets. 27 Then how when the angels cause them to die, striking their faces and their backsides? 28 That is because they have followed what has angered Allah and hated his pleasure so he has made their deeds worthless. 29 Or have those in whose hearts is disease thought that Allah would not bring out their malice? 30 And if we willed we would have shown them to you then you would have known them by their mark and you shall know them by the tune of speech. And Allah knows your deeds. 31 And we will test you so that we know the mujahidin among you and the patient and test your news. 32 Those who have disbelieved and have blocked from the way of Allah and have opposed the messenger after the guidance has been made clear to them, they will not harm Allah at all and he will make their deeds worthless. 33 Those who have believed, obey Allah and obey the messenger and do not invalidate your deeds. 34 Those who have disbelieved and have blocked from the way of Allah then have died while they were kuffar, Allah will not forgive them. 35 So do not weaken and call for peace while you are the superiors and Allah is with you and will not wrong you your deeds. 36 The dunya life is only play and fun. And if you believe and fear he gives you your wages and does not ask you for your monies. 37 If he were to ask you for it and press you, you would withhold and he would bring your hatred out. 38 Here you are, these, called to spend in the way of Allah but among you is he who withholds and he who withholds, he only withholds from himself. And Allah is the rich and you are the poor. And if you turn away he will replace with a people other than you. Then there will not be the likes of you.
