1 What is in the skies and the Earth has praised Lah and he is the mighty, the wise. 2 His is the dominion of the skies and the Earth. He vivifies and causes to die and he is mighty over everything. 3 He is the first and the last and the exterior and the interior. And he is learned in everything. 4 He is the one who created the skies and the Earth in six days then ascended the throne. He knows what passes into the Earth and what comes out of it and what descends from the sky and what ascends into it. And he is with you wherever you were. And Allah is a seer of what you do. 5 His is the dominion of the skies and the Earth and to Allah are the matters returned. 6 He thrusts the night into the day and thrusts the day into the night and he is learned in that of the chests. 7 Believe in Allah and his messenger and spend of what he has made you mustakhlafun in. So those among you who have believed and spent, theirs is a big wage. 8 And what is wrong with you, not believing in Allah and his messenger? He calls you to believe in your lord and has taken your covenant, if you are believers. 9 He is the one who sends down clear verses upon his slave to bring you out of the darknesses into the light. And Allah is kind, merciful to you. 10 And what is wrong with you that you do not spend in the way of Allah? And Lah’s is the inheritance of the skies and the Earth. Not equal among you are those who have spent before the victory and fought. Those are greater in degree than those who have spent afterwards and fought. And all, Allah has promised the best. And Allah is an expert in what you do. 11 Who is the one who will give Allah a good loan so that he doubles it for him and his is a generous wage? 12 On a day you see the believing men and women chasing, their light in front of them and in their right hands. Your good news today, jannat, rivers running beneath them, abiding therein indefinitely. That is the great win. 13 On a day the male and female hypocrites say to those who have believed: Look at us, we may acquire some of your light. It was said: Return behind you and seek light. Then a wall was put up between them having a gate, its interior; therein is mercy, and its face, before it torture. 14 They call to them: Were we not with you? They said: Yes, but you tempted yourselves and waylaid and doubted and wishes deluded you until Allah’s command came. And the deluder deluded you about Allah. 15 So today ransom is not taken from you nor from those who have disbelieved. Your shelter is the fire. It is your mawla and miserable was the destiny. 16 Has it not come for those who have believed for their hearts to yield to Allah’s dhikr and what has come down of the truth? And that they should not be like those who were given the Book before and the appointed time was long for them so their hearts hardened and many of them are fasiqun. 17 Know that Allah vivifies the Earth after its death. We have clarified the verses for you; perhaps you will comprehend. 18 The charitable men and women and they have given Allah a good loan. It is doubled for them and theirs is a generous wage. 19 And those who have believed in Allah and his messengers, those are the truthful and the witnesses before their lord. Theirs is their wage and their light. And those who have disbelieved and have claimed that our verses are a lie, those are the companions of jahim. 20 Know that the dunya life is play and fun and adornment and flaunting among you and growth in monies and children like a similitude of rain. Its vegetation has pleased the kuffar then it withers and you see it yellowing then it is debris. And in the hereafter is severe torture and forgiveness from Allah and pleasure. And the dunya life is nothing but the enjoyment of delusion. 21 Race to forgiveness from your lord and a jannah whose breadth is like the breadth of the sky and the Earth, prepared for those who have believed in Allah and his messengers. That is Allah’s favour. He gives it to whom he wills. And Allah is the possessor of the great favour. 22 No disaster has struck on the Earth or in yourselves but is in a book before we create it. That is easy for Allah. 23 That you may not grieve over what has escaped you nor rejoice at what he has given you. And Allah does not love every self-conceited, vainglorious man. 24 Those who are stingy and command people stinginess. And he who turns away then Allah is the rich, the praiseworthy. 25 We sent our messengers with the proofs and we sent down with them the book and the balance that people might stand with equity. And we sent down iron wherein is severe horribleness and benefits for people and that Allah might know him who helps him and his messengers in the ghayb. Allah is strong, mighty. 26 And we sent Nuh and Ibrahim and put in their offspring the prophethood and the Book and among them is one guided and many of them are fasiqun. 27 Then we sent after on their tracks our messengers and we sent after Isa son of Maryam and gave him the Injil. And we put kindness and mercy in the hearts of those who followed him. And monasticism, they innovated it. We did not write it upon them but the seeking of Allah’s pleasure but they did not observe it with its right care. So we gave those who had believed among them their wage and many of them are fasiqun. 28 Those who have believed, fear Allah and believe in his messenger. He gives you double from his mercy and makes light for you that you walk by and forgives you. And Allah is a forgiver, merciful. 29 Lest the People of the Book know they do not have power over anything from Allah’s favour and that the favour is in Allah’s hand. He gives it to whom he wills. And Allah is the possessor of the great favour.
