1 What is in the skies and what is on the Earth praises Lah, the king, the holy, the mighty, the wise. 2 He is the one who has raised among the ummiyun a messenger from them, reading to them his verses and purifying them and teaching them the book and the wisdom, although they were before in obvious error. 3 And others among them who have not yet joined them. And he is the mighty, the wise. 4 That is Allah’s favour. He gives it to whom he wills. And Allah is the possessor of the great favour. 5 A similitude of those who were burdened with the Torah then did not bear it is like the similitude of the donkey that carries Scriptures. Miserable was the similitude of the people who called Allah’s verses a lie. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. 6 Say: Those who were Jewish, if you claim that you are protectors of Lah instead of the people then wish for death, if you are truthful. 7 But they do not wish for it ever for what their hands have offered. And Allah is learned in the wrongdoers. 8 Say: Death which you flee is meeting you. Then you are returned to the knower of the ghayb and the testimony and he informs you of what you used to do. 9 Those who have believed, when it has been called for salat on Friday, chase to Allah’s dhikr and leave selling. That is better for you if you are knowing. 10 And when salat has been completed disperse in the land and seek of Allah’s favour and remember Allah much. Perhaps you will succeed. 11 And when they saw trade or fun they disappeared towards it and left you standing. Say: What is with Allah is better than fun and trade. And Allah is the best of providers.
