1 Blessed be the one in whose hand is the dominion and he is mighty over everything. 2 The one who created death and life to test you, which of you is best in deed. And he is the mighty, the forgiver. 3 The one who created seven skies in levels. You do not see any disparity in Al-Rahman’s creation. So return the eyesight. Do you see any cracks? 4 Then return the eyesight twice. The eyesight is tipped over to you abject while it is fatigued. 5 And we adorned the lowest sky with lamps and made them missiles for the devils and prepared for them the torture of the blaze. 6 And for those who have disbelieved in their lord is the torture of Jahannam and miserable was the destiny. 7 When they were thrown therein they heard inhalation from it while it flares up. 8 It almost explodes with rage. Every time a company was thrown therein its wardens asked them: Did a nadhir not come to you? 9 They said: Yes, a nadhir came to us but we accused of lying and said: Allah has not sent down anything. You are nothing but in big error. 10 And they said: If we had heard or comprehended we would not have been among the companions of the blaze. 11 Then they acknowledged their sins. So away with the companions of the blaze! 12 Those who fear their lord in the ghayb, theirs is forgiveness and a big wage. 13 And keep your speech secret or reveal it. He knows what is in the chests. 14 Does he not know whom he has created? And he is the nice one, the expert. 15 He is the one who made the Earth for you a compliant thing so walk in its pathways and eat of his provision and to him is the resurrection. 16 Have you felt safe from him who is in the sky not to cause the Earth to swallow you when it undergoes commotion? 17 Or have you felt safe from him who is in the sky not to send a tempest against you? Then you will know how a nadhir is. 18 And those before them denied and how a refusal was! 19 Have they not seen the bird above them spreading and folding? None holds them but Al-Rahman. He is a seer of everything. 20 Who is this, the one, he is a troop for you to help you instead of Al-Rahman? The kafirun are in nothing but delusion. 21 Who is this who would provide you if he withheld his provision? Rather, they have persisted in superciliousness and aversion. 22 So is he who walks unresting on his face more guided or he who walks straight on a straight path? 23 Say: He is the one who produced you and made for you hearing and eyesight and hearts. Little is what you thank. 24 Say: He is the one who has created you on the Earth and to him you are gathered. 25 And they say: When is this promise if you are truthful? 26 Say: Knowledge is only with Allah and I am only an obvious nadhir. 27 But when they saw it in proximity the faces of those who had disbelieved turned evil and it was said: This is that which you used to call for. 28 Say: Have you seen if Allah destroyed me and him who is with me or had mercy on us, who would protect the kafirun from painful torture? 29 Say: He is Al-Rahman. We have believed in him and in him we have put our trust. So you will know who it is in obvious error. 30 Say: Have you seen if your water became a depression then who would bring you spring water?
