1 Al-Haqqah. 2 What is Al-Haqqah? 3 And what will make you know what Al-Haqqah is? 4 Thamud and Ad called Al-Qari’ah a lie. 5 And as for Thamud, they were destroyed by Al-Taghiyah. 6 And as for Ad, they were destroyed by a wind sarsar, ‘atiyah. 7 He imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days husum. So you see the people therein knocked down as though they were a’jaz of date palms khawiyah. 8 So do you see any remains of them? 9 And Fir’awn came and those before him and the overturned cities with sin. 10 And they disobeyed their lord’s messenger so he took them with an exceeding taking. 11 We, when the water dominated, carried you in the ship 12 That we might make it an admonition for you and a conscious ear might be conscious of it. 13 And when one blow has been blown on the trumpet 14 And the Earth and the mountains have been carried and crushed with one crushing. 15 Then on that day Al-Waqi’ah has occurred 16 And the sky has split and it is on that day fragile. 17 And the angel on its edges and eight carry your lord’s throne above them on that day. 18 On that day you are exposed, a mystery is not hidden among you. 19 Then as for him who has been given his book in his right hand, he says: Here, read my book. 20 I thought that I would meet my account. 21 So he is in a pleasant life, 22 In a high jannah. 23 Its bunches close by. 24 Eat and drink to satisfaction for what you lent in the free days. 25 And as for him who has been given his book in his left hand, he says: Would that I had not been given my book 26 And not known what my account is. 27 Would that it had been the end. 28 My money has not availed me, 29 Perished from me has my authority. 30 Take him, shackle him. 31 Then burn him in the Jahim. 32 Then into a chain whose length is 70 cubits insert him. 33 He did not used to believe in Allah the great 34 And he does not urge the feeding of the poor man. 35 So he has today no intimate here 36 Nor food except from ghislin. 37 None eats it but the sinners. 38 And I do not swear by what you see 39 And what you do not see. 40 It is a noble messenger’s speech. 41 And it is not a poet’s speech, little is what you believe. 42 Nor a soothsayer’s speech, little is what you remember. 43 A tanzil from the lord of the ‘alamin. 44 And had he fabricated some speeches against us 45 We would have taken him by the right hand. 46 Then we would have cut off his aorta. 47 Then none of you would prevent it. 48 And it is an admonition for the fearers. 49 And we know that among you are those who accuse of lying. 50 And it is a regret for the kafirun. 51 And it is the truth of certainty. 52 So praise in the name of your great lord.
