S 76 (98) Al-Insan

1 Has there come upon man a moment of time he was not a thing mentioned? 2 We created man from a drop, a mixture, we test him. And we made him a hearer, a seer. 3 We guided him to the way, whether grateful or ungrateful. 4 We have prepared for the kafirun chains and shackles and a blaze. 5 The pious drink from a cup. Its blend was camphor. 6 A spring--Allah’s slaves drink therewith. It pours forth. 7 They pay the vow and fear a day whose evil was diffused 8 And feed poor man and orphan and captive for love of him. 9 We only feed you for the face of Allah. We do not want repayment or thanks from you. 10 We fear from our lord a day--’abus and qamtarir. 11 But Allah has protected them from the evil of that day and caused them to meet with freshness and cheer. 12 And he has recompensed them because they were patient with a jannah and silk. 13 Reclining therein on couches. They do not see therein sun or bitter cold. 14 And close by over them are its shadows and its bunches have been reduced as a reducing. 15 And vessels of silver and cups that were crystals circulate among them. 16 Crystals of silver. They estimated them with estimation. 17 And they are given to drink therein a cup. Its blend was ginger. 18 A spring is therein named Salsabil. 19 And aeonian boys circulate among them. When you saw them you thought them scattered pearls. 20 And when you saw, there you saw bliss and a big dominion. 21 Upon them are garments of green sundus and istabraq and they were adorned with bracelets of silver and their lord gave them to drink a pure drink. 22 This was a recompense for you and your striving was commendable. 23 We have sent down upon you the Quran as a tanzil. 24 So be patient for your lord’s judgment and do not obey an immoral man or kafur of them. 25 And remember your lord’s name morning and late afternoon. 26 And of the night do sujud to him and praise him a long night. 27 These love the present life and leave a heavy day behind them. 28 We created them and strengthened their captivity. And when we willed we changed their similitudes with a changing. 29 This is an admonition, so he who has willed has taken a way to his lord. 30 And you do not will except that Allah wills. Allah was learned, wise. 31 He admits whom he wills to his mercy and the wrongdoers, he has prepared for them painful torture.
