1 About what do they ask? 2 About the great news 3 That they differ concerning. 4 Not at all! They will know. 5 Then not at all! They will know. 6 Have we not made the Earth a bed 7 And the mountains pegs? 8 And we created you in pairs. 9 And we made your sleep stupor. 10 And we made the night a garment. 11 And we made the day a payment. 12 And we built above you seven strong. 13 And we made a glowing lamp. 14 And we sent down thajjaj water from the mu’sirat 15 That we might bring out therewith grain and vegetation. 16 And jannat alfafan. 17 The day of decision was an appointed time. 18 On a day it is blown on the trumpet and you come in droves. 19 And the sky was opened and was gates 20 And the mountains were rolled around and were a mirage. 21 Jahannam was a lookout, 22 For the tyrants a resort, 23 Staying therein for ahqab. 24 They do not taste therein cold or drink 25 Except boiling water and pus, 26 A recompense, suitability. 27 They were not hoping for an account 28 And they called our verses a lie with a calling. 29 And everything, we have enumerated it as a book. 30 So taste and we shall not increase you except in torture. 31 For the fearers a place of winning, 32 Gardens and grapes 33 And pert ones, comrades 34 And a cup filled to the brim. 35 They do not hear therein nonsense or accusation of lying. 36 Recompense from your lord, a gift according to account. 37 The lord of the skies and the Earth and what is between them, Al-Rahman, they do not possess from him to address. 38 On a day the spirit and the angels stand in a row, they do not speak except him whom Al-Rahman has permitted for him and he said correctness. 39 That is the true day. So he who willed took a resort to his lord. 40 We have warned you of a near torture, on a day man looks at what his hands have offered and the kafir says: Would that I were dust!
