S 79 (81) Al-Nazi'at

1 By Al-Nazi’at as a drowning, 2 By The Brisk, briskly, 3 By The Swimmers, swimmingly, 4 And The Preceders, precedlingly, 5 And Those Who Manage a matter. 6 On a day the Rajifah shakes 7 The Radifah follows it. 8 Hearts on that day are agitated, 9 Their eyesight is devout. 10 They say: Are we being returned to Al-Hafirah? 11 When we were decayed bones? 12 They said: This then is a losing recurrence. 13 Then it is only one compelling cry. 14 And behold, they are at Al-Sahirah. 15 Did the hadith of Musa come to you, 16 When his lord called him in the sacred wadi of Tuwa? 17 Go to Fir’awn. He has played the tyrant. 18 And say: Would you purify yourself 19 And that I guide you to your lord and that you fear? 20 Then he showed him the biggest sign. 21 But he accused of lying and disobeyed. 22 Then he turned his back striving. 23 And he assembled and called. 24 Then he said: I am your lord, the highest. 25 So Allah took him as an exemplary punishment of the last and the first. 26 In that there is a lesson for him who fears. 27 Are you a harder creation or is the sky that he built? 28 He raised its ceiling and smoothed it 29 And he darkened its night and brought out its forenoon. 30 And the Earth after that, he levelled it. 31 He brought out from it its water and its pasture. 32 And the mountains, he made them fast 33 As enjoyment for you and for your cattle. 34 But when the big distress has come, 35 On a day man remembers what he strove for, 36 And the Jahim has been exposed to view for him who sees. 37 Then as for him who has played the tyrant 38 And has preferred the dunya life, 39 Then the Jahim is the shelter. 40 And as for him who has feared his lord’s station and has forbidden the soul from the desire, 41 Then the Jannah is the shelter. 42 They ask you about the Hour: When is its anchorage? 43 In what are you of its remembrance? 44 To your lord is its end. 45 You are only a warner of him who fears it. 46 As though they, on a day they see it, did not remain but an evening or its forenoon.
