In quran we find verses that speak of the inequality of the blind and the sighted.

S 6:50 Say: I do not tell you I have Allah’s treasures or know the ghayb or tell you I am an angel. I do not follow but what I am inspired with. Say: Is the blind man equal to the seeing man? So do you not ponder?

S 11:24 The similitude of the two parties is like the blind man and the deaf and the seer and the hearer. Are they equal in likeness? So do you not remember?

Here 'Allah' discriminates against the deaf too.

S 13:16 Say: Who is the lord of the skies and the Earth? Say: Allah. Say: So have you taken protectors instead of him, not possessing benefit for themselves nor harm? Say: Are the blind man and the sighted equal? Or are the darknesses and the light equal? Or have they made partners for Lah, who created like his creation so that creation resembled to them? Say: Allah is the creator of everything and he is the one, the oppressing.

S 35:19 And not equal is the blind man and the sighted.

S 40:58 And the blind man and the seeing are not equal and those who have believed and have done the righteous deeds and not the insulting one. Little is what you remember.

The author was into insulting.
