The Quran repeatedly claims that the founder of Islam is an 'obvious warner'.

S 7:184 Have they not pondered? There is no madness in their companion. He is nothing but an obvious nadhir.

S 15:89 And say: I, I am the obvious nadhir.

The obvious warner? Were there a number of people claiming to be a warner or prophet? We find that there were a number of self-proclaimed prophets in the Arabian Peninsula. Answering Muslims: How Muhammad Became the Final Prophet

S 22:49 Say: People, I am only an obvious nadhir to you.

S 29:50 And they have said: Why have signs not been sent down upon him from his lord? Say: The signs are only with Allah and I am only an obvious nadhir.

S 38:70 I am not inspired except that I am only an obvious nadhir.

S 46:9 Say: I am not an innovation among the messengers and I do not know what will be done with me or with you. I do not follow but what I am inspired with and I am nothing but an obvious nadhir.

S 51:50 So flee to Allah. I am an obvious nadhir from him to you.

S 51:51 And do not make with Allah another god. I am an obvious nadhir from him to you.

S 67:26 Say: Knowledge is only with Allah and I am only an obvious nadhir.

There are some passages in which Nuh is called an obvious warner.

S 71:2 Warn your people before painful torture comes to them. He said: People, I am an obvious nadhir to you.

S 11:25 We sent Nuh to his people. I am an obvious nadhir for you:

S 26:115 I am nothing but an obvious nadhir.
