Farting

In this post we shall be looking at ahadith that speak of farting.
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'When one of you enters the mosque, he is in a state of prayer, so long as the prayer keeps him there, and the angels will send prayer upon anyone of you so long as he remains in the place where he prayed, saying: "O Allah, forgive him; O Allah, have mercy on him; O Allah, accept his repentance," so long as he does not commit Hadath nor disturb anyone.'"
The angels will stop praying for the Muslim if he farts.
Abu Huraira reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying:
When Satan hears the call to prayer, he turns back and breaks the wind so as not to hear the call being made, but when the call is finished he turns round and distracts (the minds of those who pray), and when he hears the Iqama, he again runs away so as not to hear its voice and when it subsides, he comes back and distracts (the minds of those who stand for prayer).
Why doesn't Satan stop visiting mosques? Is Satan omnipresent?
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The prayer of a person who does Hadath (passes urine, stool or wind) is not accepted till he performs the ablution." A person from Hadaramout asked Abu Huraira, "What is 'Hadath'?" Abu Huraira replied, " 'Hadath' means the passing of wind."
Is 'hadath' a foreign word?
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Allah does not accept prayer of anyone of you if he does Hadath (passes wind) till he performs the ablution (anew).
Abdullah bin Amr narrated that:
Allah's Messenger (S) said: "When he commits Hadath - meaning a man - and he is sitting in the end of his Salat before saying the Taslim, then his Salat is acceptable."
If he's coming to the end of salat and farts, then it's okay? What if a woman farts?
Narrated `Abbas bin Tamim:
that his uncle said: "The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked: If a person feels something during his prayer; should one interrupt his prayer?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: No! You should not give it up unless you hear a sound or smell something." Narrated Ibn Abi Hafsa: Az-Zuhri said, "There is no need of repeating ablution unless you detect a smell or hear a sound."
Here farting is okay as long as the Muslim doesn't hear or smell it.
A Muslim may say that wudu is ritually required after a fart, for it makes the man dirty. But as we have seen, farting's okay if it isn't heard or smelled, and he can carry on. Now farting invalidates 'prayer' but the evil that the Muslim may be entertaining or has committed doesn't? Allah, supposedly God, will hear the 'prayer' of the evil but will object to a fart and not hear it?
Abdallah b. Zam'a reported God’s Messenger as saying, “None of you must whip his wife as a slave is whipped and then have intercourse with her at the end of the day.” A version has, “One of you has recourse to whipping his wife as a slave is whipped and perhaps he lies with her at the end of the day.” He then gave them an exhortation about laughing when someone breaks wind, saying, “Why does one of you laugh at what he does himself?” (Bukhari and Muslim.)
One might wonder if, like Absalom in Chaucer's The Miller's Tale, the founder of Islam was 'somewhat squeamish about farting'. Laughing at a fart is bad but whipping a wife or slave isn't.
