S 86:5-7 So let man see from what he was created. / He was created from water pouring out. / Coming out from between the backbone and the upper ribs.

One of Musaylimah the 'liar's' extant verses goes:

لقد أنعم الله على الحبلى

أخرج منها نسمة تسعى

من بين صفاق وحشى

Allah has graced the pregnant woman

From between peritoneum and entrails.

The author (or one of them) uses a similar construction in another verse, speaking of milk.

S 16:66 And you have in cattle a lesson. We give you to drink from what is in its bellies, from between dung and blood, milk, unadulterated, palatable to the drinkers.
