Maryam's Fast

Maryam is directed by a voice 'from beneath her' to say that she had made a vow.

S 19:26 So eat and drink and cool the eye. And if you see any man, say: I have vowed a fast to Al-Rahman so will not speak to man today.

Where does Maryam say that she had made a vow? This vow was supposedly one of silence. Fasting is going without food; it has nothing to do with being silent. From Ibn Kathir:

(And if you see any human being,) This means any person that you see,فَقُولِى إِنِّى نَذَرْتُ لِلرَّحْمَـنِ صَوْماً فَلَنْ أُكَلِّمَ الْيَوْمَ إِنسِيّاً(Say: `Verily, I have vowed a fast unto the Most Gracious (Allah) so I shall not speak to any human being today.') Meaning, by signaling with gestures, not a statement by speech. This is so that she does not negate her oath itself,فَلَنْ أُكَلِّمَ الْيَوْمَ إِنسِيّاً(so I shall not speak to any human being today. ) Anas bin Malik commented on,إِنِّى نَذَرْتُ لِلرَّحْمَـنِ صَوْماً(I have vowed a fast unto the Most Gracious) He said; "A vow of silence.'' Likewise said Ibn `Abbas and Ad-Dahhak. The meaning here is that in their Law, when fasting, it was forbidden for them to eat and speak. https://quranx.com/Tafsir/Kathir/19.24

In order to tell man that she had made a vow she would have to speak but in verse 29 she doesn't actually speak even though she has been directed to speak:

Then she pointed to him. They said: How can we speak to one who was in the cradle, a boy?

Was she directed to lie about having made a vow?
