The word nushuz occurs twice in S 4. I have translated it 'recalcitrance'.

S 4:34 Men are supporters of women because Allah has preferred some of them to others and because they have spent from their monies. So righteous women are obedient, guarding for the ghayb what Allah has guarded. And those whose recalcitrance you fear, warn them and abandon them in beds and hit them. Then if they obey you do not seek a way against them. Allah was high, big.

S 4:128 And if a woman fears recalcitrance or shunning from her husband, then there is no misdemeanour upon them to make peace between them, reconciliation and reconciliation is best. And souls have been called for by scarcity. And if you do good and fear, Allah was an expert in what you do.

This verse was 'revealed' when Sauda gave up her night with Allah's boss in exchange for not being booted out of the house.

The word nushuz is defined thus:

نُشُوز

- incongruity; inharmony; discord; loud

نُشُوز

- Lack of harmony between sounds - Lack of harmony between music sounds - A combination of musical notes that are not in harmony

recalcitrance

disobedience
