Quran uses the word آية ayah in the sense of 'sign' and 'verse'. The word was probably pronounced like 'atha' originally. In unpointed Arabic, which the early script was, this would be اٮه. The Syriac for 'sign' is ܐܬܐ and its Hebrew cognate is אות 'ot(h)'. Ot(h) can mean a letter of the alphabet. Some would like every occurrence of the word in quran to mean 'sign' and only 'sign'. This is not the opinion of this writer. Ayah is used to mean a verse of the Arabic Bible.

S 2:39 And those who have disbelieved and have called our verses a lie, those are the companions of the fire. They abide therein indefinitely.

S 2:41 And believe in what I have sent down confirming what is with you and do not be the first kafir of it. And do not buy my verses at a low price and me then you fear.

S 2:61 And when you said: Musa, we shall not be patient with one food so invoke your lord for us to bring out for us of what the Earth grows, of its green plants and its cucumbers and its fum and its lentils and its onions. He said: Would you replace that which is lower with that which is better? Go down to Egypt. Then you will have what you have asked for. And humiliation and destitution were struck upon them and they returned with anger from Allah. That is because they used to disbelieve in the signs of Allah and kill the prophets without right. That is because they disobeyed and were transgressing.

S 2:73  So we said: Hit him with some of it. Thus does Allah vivify the dead and he shows you his signs; perhaps you will comprehend.

S 2:99 And we sent down to you clear verses and none disbelieves in them but the fasiqun.

S 2:106 What we abrogate from a verse or cause it to be forgotten we bring better than it or the like of it. Have you not known that Allah is mighty over everything?

Those who imagine that quran doesn't teach abrogation can also imagine that 'verse' here means 'sign'.

S 2:118  And those who do not know have said: Why does Allah not speak to us or a sign come to us? Thus did those before them say the like of their speech. Their hearts have resembled one another’s. We have made the signs clear for people who are certain.

S 2:145 Even if you had brought those who had been given the Book all signs, they would not have followed your qiblah and you are not a follower of their qiblah. And they are not a follower of each other’s qiblah. And if you followed their desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you would then be of the wrongdoers.**

S 2:164  In the creation of the skies and the Earth and the difference of night and day and the ships which run in the sea with what benefits people and what Allah has sent down from the sky of water and has vivified the Earth therewith after its death and has spread thereon of every beast and the change of winds and the clouds subjected between the sky and the Earth are signs for people who comprehend.

S 2:211 Ask the Banu Isra’il how many we gave them of a clear sign. And he who changes Allah’s grace after what has come to him then Allah is the severe in punishment.

S 2:219 They ask you about wine and maysir. Say: In them is a big offence and benefits for people. And their offence is bigger than their benefit. And they ask you what they spend. Say: The pardon. Thus Allah clarifies the verses for you; perhaps you will ponder.

S 2:129 Our lord, and raise among them a messenger from them reading your verses to them and teaching them the book and the wisdom and purifying them. You are the mighty, the wise.

S 2:145  Even if you had brought those who had been given the Book all signs, they would not have followed your qiblah and you are not a follower of their qiblah. And they are not a follower of each other’s qiblah. And if you followed their desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you would then be of the wrongdoers.

S 2:151  As we sent among you a messenger from you reading to you our verses and purifying you and teaching you the book and the wisdom and teaching you what you did not know.

S 2:187 Obscenity towards your women has been made lawful for you on the night of fasting. They are a garment for you and you are a garment for them. Allah knew that you used to deceive yourselves so he repented for you and pardoned you. So now have relations with them and seek what Allah has written for you. And eat and drink until the white thread is distinguished for you from the black thread of dawn. Then complete the fast to the night. And do not have relations with them when you are secluded in the mosques. Those are Allah’s hudud, so do not approach them. Thus Allah clarifies his verses for people; perhaps they will fear.

S 2:211 Ask the Banu Isra’il how many we gave them of a clear sign. And he who changes Allah’s grace after what has come to him then Allah is the severe in punishment.

S 2:221 And do not futter the mushrikat until they believe. And a believing maid is better than a mushrikah even if she has pleased you. And do not give to the mushrikun in nikah until they believe, and a believing slave is better than a mushrik even if he has pleased you. Those call to the fire and Allah calls to the Jannah and forgiveness with his permission. And he clarifies his verses for people; perhaps they will remember.

S 2:231 And when you have divorced the women and they have reached their term, hold them with kindness or dismiss them with kindness. And do not hold them in harm to transgress. And he who does that has wronged himself. And do not take Allah’s verses as a quip, and remember Allah’s grace upon you and what he has sent down upon you of the book and the wisdom. He advises you therewith. And fear Allah and know that Allah is learned in everything.

S 2:242 Thus Allah clarifies his verses for you; perhaps you will comprehend.

S 2:248 And their prophet said to them: A sign of his kingship is that the Ark will come to you. Therein is a Shekhinah from your lord and a remnant of what Musa’s family and Harun’s family left, the angels carrying it. In that there is a sign for you if you are believers.

S 2:252 Those are Allah’s verses, we read them to you in truth. And you are of the commissaries.

S 2:259 Or like the one who passed by a village and it was collapsed on its turrets. He said: How will Allah vivify this after its death? Then Allah made him die 100 years then raised him. He said: How long have you remained? He said: I have remained a day or some of a day. He said: Rather you have remained 100 years. Then look at your food and your drink, it has not spoiled, and look at your donkey, and that we may make you a sign to people. And look at the bones, how we resurrect them, then we cover them with flesh. Then when it became clear to him he said: I know that Allah is mighty over everything.

S 2:266 Would any of you like to have a jannah of palm trees and grapes, rivers running beneath it, having therein of all fruits, and old age has struck him and he has offspring that are weak then a storm in which is fire has struck it then was on fire? Thus Allah clarifies the verses for you; perhaps you will ponder.

S 3:4  Before, guidance for people, and he sent down the Furqan. Those who have disbelieved in Allah’s verses have severe torture. And Allah is mighty, the one of vengeance.

S 3:7 He is the one who sent down upon you the book; of it are muhkamat verses. They are the mother of the book and others are mutashabihat. As for those in whose hearts is aberration, they follow what he copied from it, seeking fitnah and seeking its interpretation. And none knows its interpretation but Allah. And the firm in knowledge say: We have believed in it. All is from our lord. And none remembers except the possessors of albab.

S 3:11  Like the custom of Fir’awn’s family and those before them, they called our verses a lie so Allah took them for their sins. And Allah is severe in punishment.

S 3:13 You had a sign in the two bands that met. One band fighting in the way of Allah and another disbelieving. They see them as two likenesses of them with the sight of the eye. And Allah supports with his help whom he wills. In that is a lesson for the possessors of sight.

S 3:19 The religion with Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Book did not differ except after knowledge came to them wrongly among them. And he who disbelieves in Allah’s verses, Allah is quick in account.

S 3:21  Those who disbelieve in Allah’s verses and kill the prophets without right and kill those who command equity among people--give them good news of painful torture.

S 3:41 He said: Lord, make me a sign. He said: Your sign is not to speak to people for three days except with gesture. And mention your lord much and praise in the evening and the early morning.

S 3:49 And a messenger to Banu Isra’il: I have come to you with a sign from your lord that I create for you from clay like the form of a bird and blow into it and it is a bird with Allah’s permission. And I heal the blind and the leper and I vivify the dead with Allah’s permission. And I inform you of what you eat and what you lay by in your houses. In that there is a sign for you if you are believers.

S 3:50 Confirming what is in front of me of the Torah and to permit for you some of that which had been forbidden to you and I have come to you with a sign from your lord, so fear Allah and follow me.

S 3:58 That do we read upon you of the verses and the wise Dhikr.

S 3:70 People of the Book, why do you disbelieve in Allah’s verses when you testify?

S 3:97 Therein are clear signs, the Station of Ibrahim, and he who entered it was safe. And Lah’s, upon people is the pilgrimage of the House, he who was able a way to it. And he who has disbelieved, then Allah is rich from the ‘alamin.

S 3:98  Say: People of the Book, why do you disbelieve in Allah’s verses when Allah is a witness over what you do?

S 3:190 In the creation of the skies and the Earth and the difference of the night and the day are signs for the possessors of albab.

S 3:101 And how could you disbelieve when Allah’s verses are read to you and his messenger is among you? And he who clings to Allah has been guided to a straight path.

S 3:103 And hold firmly to Allah’s rope altogether and do not separate. And remember Allah’s grace upon you when you were enemies and he tamed between your hearts and you became brothers by his grace. And you were on the edge of a pit of the fire and he rescued you from it. Thus Allah clarifies his verses for you. Perhaps you will be guided.

S 3:108 These are Allah’s verses. We read them to you in truth. And Allah does not want wrong for the ‘alamin.

S 3:112 Humiliation has been struck upon them wherever they have been met with except with a rope from Allah and a rope from people. And they came back with anger from Allah and poverty was struck upon them. That is because they used to disbelieve in Allah’s verses and they kill the prophets without right. That is because they have disbelieved and used to transgress.

S 3:113 They are not equal. Among the People of the Book is a nation standing reading Allah's verses during the hours of the night and they do sujud.

S 3:118 Those who have believed, do not take a clique instead of you, not neglecting you craziness. They have wished what has distressed you. Hatred has appeared from their mouths and what their chests conceal is bigger. We have clarified the verses for you if you are comprehending.

S 3:164 Allah was benevolent to the believers when he raised among them a messenger from themselves reading to them his verses and purifying them and teaching them the book and the wisdom although they were before in obvious error.

S 3:190 In the creation of the skies and the Earth and the difference of the night and the day are signs for the possessors of albab.

S 3:199 And among the People of the Book are those who believe in Allah and what has been sent down to you and what has been sent down to them, humble towards Lah. They do not buy Allah’s verses at a low price. Those, for them is their wage with their lord. Allah is the quick in account.

S 4:56  Those who have disbelieved in our verses shall we roast in a fire. Every time their skins were ripe we changed them for skins other than them that they may taste the torture. Allah was great, wise.

S 4:140 And he has sent down upon you in the book that when you have heard Allah’s verses being disbelieved in and mocked do not sit with them until they engage in a hadith other than it. You then would be the like of them. Allah is gathering the hypocrites and the kafirun in Jahannam, all.

S 4:155  So because of their breaking their covenant and their kufr in Allah’s verses and their killing the prophets without right and their saying: Our hearts are uncircumcised. Rather, Allah has stamped them for their kufr so they do not believe except a few.

S 5:10 And those who have disbelieved and have called our verses a lie--those are the companions of jahim.

S 5:44  We sent down the Torah; therein is guidance and light. The prophets, those who have surrendered for those who were Jewish, judge by it, and the rabbaniyun and the rabbis what they were entrusted with of Allah’s Book and they were witnesses over it. So do not fear people but fear me. And do not buy my verses at a low price. And those who have not judged by what Allah has sent down--those are the kafirun.

S 5:75 The Messiah the son of Maryam is nothing but a messenger. The messengers passed away before him and his mother is truthful. The two of them used to eat food. See how we make the signs clear to them. Then see how deluded they are!

S 5:86 And those who have disbelieved and called our verses a lie, those are the companions of Jahim.

S 5:89 Allah does not censure you for nonsense in your oaths but censures you for what you have contracted of the oaths. So its expiation is the feeding of ten needy people of an average of what you feed your family or their clothing or freeing a neck. But he who has not found then fasting for three days. That is an expiation for your oaths when you have sworn. And guard your oaths. Thus Allah clarifies his verses for you; perhaps you will thank.

S 5:114  Isa son of Maryam said: Allahumma our lord, send down upon us a table from the sky being for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from you. And provide us, and you are the best of providers.

S 6:4  And no sign of the signs of their lord comes to them but they were turning away from it.

S 6:21 And who is more unjust than he who has fabricated a lie against Allah or has called his verses a lie? The wrongdoers do not succeed.

S 6:25 And among them are those who listen to you and we have put coverings on their hearts lest they comprehend it and in their ears is deafness. And if they see every verse they do not believe in it. Until when they have come to you arguing with you saying to those who have disbelieved: This is nothing but the tales of the first ones.

S 6:27  And were you to see when they were stood on the fire; they said: Would that we were brought back and we would not call our lord’s verses a lie and we would be of the believers.

S 6:33 Maybe we know that it grieves you, that which they say. And they do not call you a liar but the wrongdoers reject Allah’s verses.

S 6:35  And if their shunning was becoming too difficult for you then if you were able to seek a tunnel in the Earth or a ladder in the sky so that you might bring them a sign. And had Allah willed he would have gathered them on the guidance. So do not be of the ignorant.

S 6:37 And they have said: Why has a sign from his lord not been sent down upon him? Say: Allah is capable of sending down a sign but most of them do not know.

S 6:39 And those who have called our verses a lie are deaf and dumb, in the darknesses. He whom Allah wills, he misguides him and he whom he wills, he puts him on a straight path.

S 6:46  Say: Have you seen if Allah took your hearing and your eyesight and sealed your hearts, who is a god other than Allah that would bring you it? Look how we explain the verses then they turn away.

S 6:49  And those who have called our verses a lie the torture touches them for what they used to be fasiq about.

S 6:54 And when those who believe in our verses have come to you, say: Peace be upon you. Your lord has written mercy upon himself that he who has done evil among you in ignorance then has repented after it and has reformed, then that he is a forgiver, merciful.

S 6:55 And thus do we detail the verses and to make the way of the criminals clear.

S 6:55 Say: He is capable of raising torture from above you or from beneath your feet upon you or intermingling you as partisans and making some of you taste horribleness of others. Look how we explain the verses; perhaps you will comprehend.

S 6:68 And when you have seen those who wade into our verses, turn away from them until they wade into hadith other than it. And if the Devil causes you to forget, do not sit after the remembrance with the wrongoing people.

S 6:93  And who is more unjust than he who has fabricated a lie against Allah or said: I have been inspired, and was not inspired at all and he who has said: I shall send down the like of what Allah has sent down? And were you to see when the wrongdoers are in death throes and the angels stretch out their hands: Expel your souls! Today you are recompensed with the torture of abasement because you used to say other than the truth against Allah and were arrogant towards his verses.

S 6:97  And he is the one who made for you the stars to be guided by in the darknesses of the land and the sea. We have detailed the signs for people who know.

S 6:98 And he is the one who constructed you from one soul, so a lodging and a warehouse. We have detailed the verses for people who comprehend.

S 6:99 And he is the one who has sent down water from the sky then we have brought out with it vegetation of everything. Then we have brought out from it greensward, we bring out from it grain, amassed. And from the date palm, from its pollen clusters hanging low. And jannat of grapes and the olives and the pomegranates resembling and not resembling. Look at its fruit when it has borne fruit and its ripening. In that there are signs for people who believe.

S 6:105 And thus do we explain the signs and that they may say: You have studied and that we may make it clear for people who know.

S 6:109 And they swear by Allah the strongest of their oaths that if a sign came to them they would believe in it. Say: The signs are only with Allah. And what makes you perceive that when it comes they do not believe?

S 6:118 So eat of what Allah’s name has been mentioned over, if you are believers in his verses.

S 6:124 And when a verse has come to them they have said: We shall not believe until the like of what was given the messengers of Allah is given. Allah is a knower of where he puts his message. Servility from Allah will afflict those who have committed crime and severe torture for what they were deceiving.

S 6:126 And this is a path of your lord, straight. We have detailed the verses for people who remember.

S 6:130  Company of jinn and men, did there not come to you messengers from you relating to you my verses and warning you of a meeting of this your day? They said: We have borne witness against ourselves. And the dunya life has beguiled them and they have borne witness against themselves that they were kafirun.

S 6:150 Say: Come, your witnesses, those who testify that Allah has forbidden this. And if they have testified then do not testify with them. And do not follow the desires of those who have called our verses a lie and those who do not believe in the hereafter, and they make equal to their lord.

S 6:157 Or you say: Had the Book been sent down upon us we would have been more guided than they. So a proof has come to you from your lord and guidance and mercy. So who is more unjust than he who has called Allah’s verses a lie and has turned away from them? We shall recompense those who turn away from our verses, the evil of the torture because they used to turn away.

S 6:158 Do they look except that the angels come to them or your lord comes or some of your lord’s signs come? On a day some of your lord’s signs come its faith will not benefit a soul, it had not believed before or earned good in its faith. Say: Wait. We are waiting.

S 7:9 And those whose scales were light then those are the ones who have lost their souls because they used to be unjust to our verses.

S 7:26 Banu Adam, we have sent down upon you clothing. It covers your pudenda and feathering. And the clothing of taqwa, that is best. That is of Allah's signs. Perhaps they will remember.

S 7:32 Say: Who has forbidden Allah’s adornment which he has brought out for his slaves and the good things of the provision? Say: They are for those who have believed in the dunya life, exclusively, the day of resurrection. Thus do we detail the verses for people who know.

S 7:35 Banu Adam, if messengers from you come to you relating to you my verses, then those who have feared and reformed, then there is no fear upon them nor do they grieve.

S 7:36 And those who have called our verses a lie and have been arrogant towards them, those are the companions of the fire, they abiding therein indefinitely.

S 7:37 So who is more unjust than he who has fabricated a lie against Allah or has called his verses a lie? Those, their share from the book reaches them until when our messengers came to them causing them to die. They said: Where is what you used to invoke instead of Allah? They said: They strayed from us. And they testified against themselves that they were kafirun.

S 7:40 Those who have called our verses a lie and have been arrogant towards them, the gates of the sky are not opened for them and they do not enter the Jannah until the camel passes into the eye of the needle. And thus do we recompense the criminals.

S 7:51 Those who took their religion as fun and a game and whom the dunya life deluded. So today we forget them as they forgot the meeting of their day, this, and what they used to reject our verses.

S 7:58 And the good country, its vegetation comes out with its lord’s permission, and that which was bad does not come out except crabbedly. Thus do we explain the signs for people who thank.

S 7:64  But they called him a liar so we saved him and those with him in the ship. And we drowned those who called our signs a lie. They were a blind people.

S 7:72 So we saved him and those with him with mercy from us. And we cut the root of those who said that our verses were a lie and they were not believers.

S 7:73 And to Thamud their brother Salih. He said: People, worship Allah. You have no god other than him. A proof has come to you from your lord. This is Allah’s cow camel, a sign for you. So leave it to eat on Allah’s Earth and do not touch it with evil lest painful torture takes you.

S 7:103 Then we sent after them Musa with our signs to Fir’awn and his chiefs. But they wronged them. So see how the result of the corrupters was.

S 7:106  He said: If you have come with a sign then bring it if you are of the truthful.

S 7:126 And you do not take revenge on us except that we believed in our lord’s signs when they came to us. Our lord, empty patience upon us and cause us to die as Muslims.

S 7:132 And they said: Whatever you bring us of a sign to bewitch us with, we are not believers in you.

S 7:133 So we sent upon them the Flood and the locusts and the lice and the frogs and the blood as detailed signs but they were arrogant and were a criminal people.

S 7:136  So we took vengeance on them and drowned them in the sea because they called our signs a lie and were heedless of them.

S 7:146 I shall turn from my signs those who are arrogant in the land without right. And if they see every sign they will not believe in it. And if they see the way of rectitude they will not take it as a way, and if they see the way of allurement they will take it as a way. That is because they have called our verses a lie and were heedless of them.

S 7:147 And those who have called our verses and the meeting of the hereafter a lie, their deeds have become worthless. Are they recompensed except for what they used to do?

S 7:156 And write good for us in this dunya and in the hereafter. We have turned to you. He said: My torture, I afflict therewith whom I will and my mercy has encompassed everything. So I shall write it for those who fear and give zakat and those who believe in our verses.

S 7:174 And thus do we detail the verses and perhaps they will return.

S 7:175 And read to them the news of the one whom we gave our verses to and he sloughed from them so the Devil followed him and was of the seduced.

S 7:176  And had we willed we would have raised him with them but he adhered to the Earth and followed his desire. So his similitude is like the similitude of the dog. If you charge against it, it pants or you leave it, it pants. That is the similitude of the people who called our verses a lie. So tell the story; perhaps they will ponder.

S 7:177  Bad as an illustration was the people who called our verses a lie and would wrong themselves.

S 7:182  And those who have called our verses a lie, we shall lure them from where they do not know.

S 7:203 And when you have not brought them a sign they have said: Why have you not chosen it? Say: I only follow what I am inspired with from my lord. This is insights from your lord and guidance and mercy for people who believe.

S 8:2 The believers are only those whose hearts have been in fright when Allah has been mentioned and when his verses have been read to them, they have increased them in faith and in their lord they put their trust.

S 8:31 And when our verses are read to them they have said: We have heard. If we will we would say the like of this. This is nothing but the tales of the first ones.

S 9:9 They have bought Allah’s verses at a low price and hindered from his way. They, evil is what they used to do.

S 9:11  But if they repent and perform salat and give the zakat, then your brothers in the religion. And we detail the verses for people who know.

S 9:65 And if you asked them they would say: We were only wading and playing. Say: Is it Allah and his verses and his messenger you were mocking?

S 10:1  Alif lam ra. That--signs of the wise book.

S 10:5  He is the one who made the sun a splendour and the moon a light and determined houses for it that you may know the number of years and the account. Allah did not create that but in truth. He details the signs for people who know.

S 10:6 In the difference of the night and the day and what Allah has created in the skies and the Earth are signs for people who fear.

S 10:7 Those who do not hope for our meeting and were pleased with the dunya life and were content with it and those are heedless of our verses.

S 10:15  And when our verses are read to them as proofs, those who do not hope for our meeting have said: Bring a quran other than this or change it. Say: It is not for me to change it of the meeting of my soul. I do not follow but what I am inspired with. I fear if I disobey my lord the torture of a great day.

S 10:17 So who is more unjust than he who has fabricated against Allah a lie or has called his verses a lie? The criminals do not succeed.

S 10:20 And they say: Why has a sign from his lord not been sent down upon him? So say: The ghayb is only Lah’s, so wait. I am with you among those waiting.

S 10:21  And when we have made people taste mercy after adversity has touched them, behold, they have a deception against our verses. Say: Allah is quicker in deceiving. Our messengers write what you deceive.

S 10:24 The similitude of the dunya life is only like water that we have sent down from the sky, so the vegetation of the Earth has been mixed with it from what people and cattle eat until when the Earth has taken its gold and has been adorned and its people have thought that they have power over it, our command has come to it by night or by day and we have made it a crop as though it had not availed yesterday. Thus do we detail the verses for people who ponder.

S 10:67 He is the one who made for you the night to dwell in and the day, insightful. In that are signs for people who hear.

S 10:71 And read to them Nuh’s news when he said to his people: People, if my station and my recollection of Allah’s verses were big upon you, then in Allah have I put my trust. So agree unanimously on your affair and your partners. Then do not let your affair be gloominess upon you. Then decide for me and do not give me respite.

S 10:73 But they called him a liar so we saved him and him who was with him in the ship and we made them successors and we drowned those who called our signs a lie. So see how the result of the warned was.

S 10:75  Then we raised after them Musa and Harun to Fir’awn and his chiefs with our signs but they were arrogant and were a criminal people.

S 10:92 So today we save you in your body that you may be to him who has succeeded you a sign. And a lot of people are heedless of our signs.

S 10:95 And do not be of those who have said that Allah’s verses were a lie then you would be of the losers.

S 10:97  Even if every sign had come to them until they see the painful torture.

S 10:101 Say: See what is in the skies and the Earth. And the signs and the nudhur do not avail a people who do not believe.

S 11:1 Alif lam ra. A book whose verses have been detailed from a wise one, an expert.

S 11:59  And that is Ad. They denied their lord’s signs and beat his messengers and followed the command of every obstinate tyrant.

S 11:64 And people, this is Allah’s cow camel, a sign for you. So leave her to eat on Allah’s Earth and do not touch her with evil that close torture take you.

S 11:96 And we sent Musa with our signs and clear authority

S 11:103 In that there is a sign for him who has feared the torture of the hereafter. That is a day people are gathered for it and that is a witnessed day.

S 12:1 Alif lam ra. Those are signs of the clear book.

S 12:7 There were in Yusuf and his brothers signs for those who ask.

S 12:35 Then it appeared to them after what they had seen the signs they would imprison him until a time.

S 12:105  And how many a sign in the skies and the Earth do they pass by while they turn away from them!

S 13:1 Alif lam mim ra. Those are the signs of the book. And that which has been sent down to you from your lord is the truth but most people do not believe.

S 13:2 Allah is the one who raised the skies without columns that you see. Then he ascended the throne and subjected the sun and the moon, each running for a fixed term. He arranges the matter, he details the signs; perhaps you will be certain of the meeting of your lord.

S 62;5  A similitude of those who were burdened with the Torah then did not bear it is like the similitude of the donkey that carries Scriptures. Miserable was the similitude of the people who called Allah’s verses a lie. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

S 64:10 And those who have disbelieved and called our verses a lie, those are the companions of the fire, abiding therein indefinitely. And miserable was the destiny.

S 65:11 A messenger reading to you Allah’s clarifying verses that he may bring out those who have believed and have done the righteous deeds out of the darknesses into the light. And he who believes in Allah and does a righteous deed, he admits him to jannat, rivers running beneath them, abiding therein forever. Allah has done good for him in provision.

S 68:15 When our verses are read to him, he said: Tales of the first ones.

S 74:16 Not at all! He was stubborn towards our verses.

S 78:28 And they called our verses a lie with a calling.

S 79:20 Then he showed him the biggest sign.

S 83:13 When our verses are read to him. He said: Tales of the first ones.

S 90:19 And those who have disbelieved in our verses, they are the companions of the left hand.
