Quran speaks of 'the book' in a number of passages, sometimes quite ambiguously. It can stand for quran and also for the Bible/Torah.
S 2:2 That Book--there is no doubt therein, guidance for the fearers,
S 2:44 Do you command people righteousness and forget yourselves when you read the Book? So do you not comprehend?
S 2:53 And when we gave Musa the Book and the Furqan; perhaps you will be guided.
S 2:78 And of them are ummiyun not knowing the book but desires and they but think.
S 2:79 So woe to those who write the book with their hands then say: This is from Allah, to buy therewith at a low price. So woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn.
S 2:85 Then you, those, kill yourselves and expel a party of you from their homes, supporting one another against them in iniquity and oppression. And if they come to you as prisoners you ransom them while it, their expulsion, is forbidden to you. So do you believe in some of the book and disbelieve in some? Then what is a recompense of one who does that among you but disgrace in the dunya life and on the day of resurrection they are returned to the severest torture? And Allah is not unaware of what you do.
S 2:87 And we gave Musa the Book and sent the messengers after him. And we gave Isa son of Maryam the proofs and supported him with the Holy Spirit. So has every time a messenger come to you with what your souls do not desire you have been arrogant? So a party you accused of lying and a party you kill.
S 2:89 And when a book came to them from Allah confirming what they have, and they used to ask before for victory over those who disbelieved, so when what they knew came to them, they disbelieved in it. So Allah’s curse is on the kafirun.
S 2:101 And when a messenger came to them from Allah confirming what is with them, a party of those who were given the Book chucked Allah’s book behind their backs as though they do not know.
S 2:105 Those who have disbelieved of the People of the Book do not like, nor the mushrikun, that any good should be sent down upon you from your lord. And Allah favours with his mercy whom he wills. And Allah is the possessor of the great favour.
S 2:109 Many of the People of the Book have desired bringing you back after your faith as kuffar out of envy from themselves after the truth became clear to them. So pardon and overlook until Allah comes with his command. Allah is mighty over everything.
S 2:113 And the Jews have said: The Nasara are on nothing. And the Nasara have said: The Jews are on nothing. And they read the Book. Thus those who do not know have said, the like of their speech. So Allah judges between them on the day of resurrection concerning what they used to differ in.
S 2:121 Those we gave the Book to read it with its right chanting. Those believe in it. And he who disbelieves in it, those are the losers.
S 2:129 Our lord, and raise among them a messenger from them reading your verses to them and teaching them the book and the wisdom and purifying them. You are the mighty, the wise.
S 2:144 It may be we see the turning of your face to the sky so we turn you to a qiblah that you will be pleased with. So turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque and wherever you are turn your faces towards it. And those who were given the Book know that it is the truth from their lord. And Allah is not unaware of what they do.
S 2:145 Even if you had brought those who had been given the Book all signs, they would not have followed your qiblah and you are not a follower of their qiblah. And they are not a follower of each other’s qiblah. And if you followed their desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you would then be of the wrongdoers.
S 2:146 Those whom we gave the Book to recognise it as they recognise their sons. And a party of them conceals the truth when they know.
S 2:151 As we sent among you a messenger from you reading to you our verses and purifying you and teaching you the book and the wisdom and teaching you what you did not know.
S 2:159 Those who conceal what we have sent down of the proofs and the guidance after we made it clear to people in the book--those, Allah curses them and the cursers curse them.
S 2:174 Those who conceal what Allah has sent down of the book and buy therewith at a low price--those do not eat in their bellies except the fire. And Allah does not speak to them on the day of resurrection nor purify them, and theirs is painful torture.
S 2:176 That is because Allah has sent down the book in truth. And those who have differed concerning the book are in far schism.
S 2:177 It is not piety to turn your faces in the direction of the rising place and the setting place but piety is he who has believed in Allah and the last day and the angels and the book and the prophets and has given money in his love of it to the two relatives and the orphans and the needy and the traveller and those who ask and on the necks and has performed salat and given the zakat and those who fulfill their covenant when they have covenanted and the patient in suffering and adversity and at the time of horribleness. Those are the ones who have told the truth and those are the fearers.
S 2:213 People were one nation then Allah raised the prophets as bearers of good news and as warners and sent down with them the book in truth to judge between people in what they had differed concerning. And none differed in it except those who had been given it after the proofs had come to them out of wrong between them. And Allah guided those who had believed in what they had differed in of the truth with his permission. And Allah guides whom he wills to a straight path.
S 2:231 And when you have divorced the women and they have reached their term, hold them with kindness or dismiss them with kindness. And do not hold them in harm to transgress. And he who does that has wronged himself. And do not take Allah’s verses as a quip, and remember Allah’s grace upon you and what he has sent down upon you of the book and the wisdom. He advises you therewith. And fear Allah and know that Allah is learned in everything.
S 2:235 And there is no misdemeanour upon you in what you have hinted at of the engagement of women or you have concealed in yourselves. Allah has known that you will mention them but do not promise them secretly except to say kind speech. And do not decide on the nikah knot until the book reaches its term. And know that Allah knows what is in yourselves so watch out for him. And know that Allah is a forgiver, clement.
S 3:3 He has sent down upon you the book in truth confirming what is in front of him and he sent down the Torah and the Injil
S 3:7 He is the one who sent down upon you the book; of it are muhkamat verses. They are the mother of the book and others are mutashabihat. As for those in whose hearts is aberration, they follow what he copied from it, seeking fitnah and seeking its interpretation. And none knows its interpretation but Allah. And the firm in knowledge say: We have believed in it. All is from our lord. And none remembers except the possessors of albab.
S 3:19 The religion with Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Book did not differ except after what knowledge came to them wrongly among them. And he who disbelieves in Allah’s verses, Allah is quick in account.
S 3:20 And if they argue with you say: I have surrendered my face to Lah and he who has followed me. And say to those who were given the Book and the ummiyun: Have you surrendered? Then if they have surrendered then are they guided. But if they turn away then only the notice is upon you. And Allah is seer of the slaves.
S 3:23 Have you not seen those who were given a share of the Book? They are called to Allah’s book to judge among them then a party of them turns away and they are averse.
S 3:48 And he teaches him the Book and the Wisdom and the Torah and the Injil.
S 3:64 Say: People of the Book, come to a sawa’ word between us and you that we do not worship but Allah nor associate with him at all nor take one another as lords instead of Allah. Then if they turn away say: Bear witness that we are Muslims.
S 3:65 People of the Book, why do you argue concerning Ibrahim when the Torah and the Injil were not sent down except after him? So do you not comprehend?
S 3:69 A band of the People of the Book have wished to misguide you but they do not misguide except themselves and they do not perceive.
S 3:70 People of the Book, why do you disbelieve in Allah’s verses when you testify?
S 3:71 People of the Book, why do you intermingle the truth with falsehood and conceal the truth when you know?
S 3:72 And a band of the People of the Book have said: Believe in what has been sent down upon those who have believed at the beginning of the day and disbelieve at the end of it. Perhaps they will return.
S 3:75 And of the People of the Book is he who, if you feel safe from him with a qintar, he returns it to you. And among them is he who, if you feel safe from him with a dinar, he does not return it to you except what you have lasted standing over him. That is because they have said: There is not a way over us among the ummiyun. And they say a lie concerning Allah while they know.
S 3:78 And among them is a party who distort their tongues with the Book that you might think it from the Book and it is not from the Book and they say: It is from Allah. And it is not from Allah. And they say a lie against Allah when they know.
S 3:79 It was not for a human being that Allah should give him the Book and the wisdom and the prophethood then he says to people: Be slaves to me instead of Allah but: Be rabbaniyun because you have been teaching the Book and because you have been studying.
S 3:98 Say: People of the Book, why do you disbelieve in Allah’s verses when Allah is a witness over what you do?
S 3:99 Say: People of the Book, why do you hinder from the way of Allah, seeking it as crookedness when you are witnesses? And Allah is not unaware of what you do.
S 3:100 Those who have believed, if you obey a party from those given the Book they will bring you back after your faith as kafirun.
S 3:110 You were the best nation taken out for people, commanding kindness and forbidding baseness and believing in Allah. And had the People of the Book believed they would have had good. Among them are the believers and most of them are the fasiqun.
S 3:113 They are not equal. Among the People of the Book is a nation standing reading Allah's verses during the hours of the night and they do sujud.
S 3:119 You, those, you love them and they do not love you and you believe in the book, all of it. And when they have met you they have said: We have believed. And when alone they have bitten the fingertips at you from rage. Say: Die in your rage. Allah is learned in that in the chests.
S 3:164 Allah was benevolent to the believers when he raised among them a messenger from themselves reading to them his verses and purifying them and teaching them the book and the wisdom although they were before in obvious error.
S 3:184 So if they have called you a liar then messengers were called liars before you who came with the proofs and the Zubur and the bright book.
S 3:186 You shall be tested in your monies and yourselves and hear from those who were given the Book before you and from those who have associated much harm. And if you are patient and fear, that is from the determination of matters.
S 3:187 And when Allah took a covenant of those who were given the Book: You shall make it clear to people and not conceal it. But they threw it behind their backs and bought it at a low price. So miserable was what they buy.
S 3:199 And among the People of the Book are those who believe in Allah and what has been sent down to you and what has been sent down to them, humble towards Lah. They do not buy Allah’s verses at a low price. Those, for them is their wage with their lord. Allah is the quick in account.
S 4:44 Have you not looked at those who were given a share of the book buying error and wanting you to stray from the way?
S 4:47 Those who have been given the Book, believe in what we have sent down confirming what you have before we efface faces and repel them onto their backsides or curse them as we cursed the companions of the Sabbath! And Allah’s command was done.
S 4:51 Have you not looked at those who were given a share of the Book? They believe in al-jibt and al-taghut and say for those who have disbelieved: These are more guided than those who have believed as to the way.
S 4:54 Or do they envy people for what Allah has given them from his favour? But we gave Ibrahim’s family the Book and the Wisdom and we gave them a great dominion.
S 4:105 We have sent down to you the book in truth that you may judge between people with what Allah has shown you. And do not be an opponent for the traitors.
S 4:113 And had Allah’s favour not been upon you and his mercy a party of them would have planned to mislead you. But they do not mislead but themselves and they do not harm you at all. And Allah has sent down upon you the book and the wisdom and has taught you what you did not know. And Allah’s favour upon you was great.
S 4:123 It is not by your wishes nor the wishes of the People of the Book. He who does ill is rewarded for it and does not find for him a protector or helper instead of Allah.
S 4:127 And they consult you concerning women. Say: Allah advises you concerning them and what is read to them in the book concerning the orphans of the women whom you do not give what has been written for them and you seek to futter them and the needy of the boys and to stand for orphans with equity. And what you do of good Allah was learned in it.
S 4:131 And Lah’s is what is in the skies and what is on the Earth. And we advised those who had been given the Book before you and you to fear Allah. But if you disbelieve then Lah’s is what is in the skies and what is on the Earth. And Allah was rich, praiseworthy.
S 4:136 Those who have believed, believe in Allah and his messenger and the book that he sent down upon his messenger and the Book that he sent down before. And he who disbelieves in Allah and his angels and his books and his messengers and the last day, he has strayed far.
S 4:140 And he has sent down upon you in the book that when you have heard Allah’s verses being disbelieved in and mocked do not sit with them until they engage in a hadith other than it. You then would be the like of them. Allah is gathering the hypocrites and the kafirun in Jahannam, all.
S 4:153 The People of the Book ask you to bring down upon them a book from the sky. And they had asked Musa greater than that and said: Show us Allah overtly. So the thunderbolt took them for their wrongdoing. Then they took the calf after what the proofs had come to them then we pardoned for that. And we gave Musa clear authority.
S 4:159 And there is none of the People of the Book but shall believe in him before his death. And on the day of resurrection he is a witness against them.
S 4:171 People of the Book, do not exceed in your religion nor say about Allah but the truth. The Messiah Isa Son Of Maryam is only Allah’s messenger and his word which he threw to Maryam and spirit from him. So believe in Allah and his messengers and do not say Three. Cease; it is better for you. Allah is only one god. Praise be to him that he should have a child! His is what is in the skies and what is on the Earth. And Allah was sufficient as an agent.
S 5:5 Today have the good things been permitted for you and the food of those who were given the Book is permitted for you and your food is permitted for them. And the muhsanat of the believers and the muhsanat of those who were given the Book before you when you have given them their wages, fortified, not musafihun or takers of paramours. And he who disbelieves the faith, his work has failed and he in the hereafter is of the losers.
S 5:15 People of the Book, our messenger has come to you making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Book and pardoning much. A light and a clear book have come to you from Allah.
S 5:19 People of the Book, our messenger has come to you, making clear for you concerning the interval of the messengers lest you say: No bringer of good news or nadhir has come to us. A bringer of good news and a nadhir has come to you. And Allah is mighty over everything.
S 5:48 And we have sent down to you the book in truth, confirming what is in front of him of the Book and governing over it. So judge between them by what Allah has sent down and do not follow their desires when some of the truth has come to you. For all of you have we made a bill and a curriculum. And had Allah willed he would have made you one nation but to test you in what he has given you. So race to goods. To Allah is all your return then he informs you of what you used to differ in.
S 5:57 Those who have believed, do not take those who have taken your religion as a quip and a game from those who were given the Book before you and the kuffar as protectors. And fear Allah if you are believers.
Notice that a distinction is made between those 'given' the Book, the Bible, making fun of Islam and the kuffar. Evidently they are not kuffar.
S 5:59 Say: People of the Book, do you venge us except that we have believed in Allah and what has been sent down to us and what was sent down before and that most of you are fasiqun?
S 5:65 And had the People of the Book believed and feared we would have atoned for their evil deeds and admitted them to the jannat of bliss.
S 5:68 Say: People of the Book, you are on nothing until you establish the Torah and the Injil and what has been sent down to you from your lord. And increases many of them, what has been sent down to you from your lord, in tyranny and kufr. So do not grieve over the kafirun people.
S 5:77 Say: People of the Book, do not exceed in your religion other than the truth and do not follow the desires of a people who strayed before, and they misled many and they strayed from the evenness of the way.
You can exceed in the truth?
S 5:110 When Allah said: Isa son of Maryam, remember my grace upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Holy Spirit when you speak to the people in the cradle and in middle age. And when I taught you the book and the wisdom and the Torah and the Injil. And when you create from the clay as the form of the bird with my permission and blow into it and it is a bird with my permission and you heal the blind man and the leper with my permission and when you bring out the dead with my permission. And when I restrained the Banu Isra’il from you when you brought them proofs and those who disbelieved of them said: This is nothing but obvious magic.
S 6:20 Those we have given the Book to recognise him as they recognise their sons. Those who have lost themselves, they do not believe.
S 6:38 And there is no beast on the Earth nor bird that flies with its two wings but are nations the likes of you. We have neglected nothing in the book. Then to their lord are they gathered.
S 6:89 Those are the ones whom we gave the Book and the judgment and the prophethood to. But if these disbelieve then we have authorised it to a people who are not kafirun in it.
S 6:91 And they have not estimated Allah with his true estimation when they have said: Allah has not sent down anything upon a human being. Say: Who sent down the Book which Musa brought, light and guidance for people? You make it qaratis; you reveal it and you conceal much. And you were taught what you did not know, you nor your fathers. Say: Allah. Then leave them playing in their involvement.
S 6:114 So is it other than Allah I seek as a judge when he is the one who has sent down to you the book, detailed? And those whom we gave the Book to know that it is sent down from your lord in truth, so do not be of the doubters.
S 6:154 Then we gave Musa the Book, perfection upon him who did good and a minute exposition for everything and guidance and a mercy; perhaps they will believe in the meeting of their lord.
S 6:156 Lest you say: The Book was only sent down upon two cliques before us and we were unaware of their studying.
S 6:157 Or you say: Had the Book been sent down upon us we would have been more guided than they. So a proof has come to you from your lord and guidance and mercy. So who is more unjust than he who has called Allah’s verses a lie and has turned away from them? We shall recompense those who turn away from our verses, the evil of the torture because they used to turn away.
S 7:169 Then after them descendants succeeded who inherited the Book, taking the accident of this nearer one and saying: We shall be forgiven. And if an accident the like of it comes to them they take it. Was the covenant of the Book not taken upon them that they should not say about Allah but the truth and they have studied what is in it? And the home of the hereafter is better for those who fear. Do you then not comprehend?
S 7:170 And those who take hold of the Book and have performed the salat, we do not waste the wage of the reformers.
S 7:196 My protector is Allah, the one who has sent down the book. And he protects the righteous.
S 9:29 Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the last day and do not forbid what Allah and his messenger have forbidden and do not submit to the religion of truth of those who were given the Book until they give the jizyah from subjection while they are abased.
S 10:1 Alif lam ra. That--signs of the wise book.
S 10:37 And this quran was not to be fabricated instead of Allah but a confirmation of that in front of it and an analysis of the Book. There is no doubt concerning it, from the lord of the ‘alamin.
S 10:94 And if you are in doubt as to what we have sent down to you, ask those who have been reading the Book before you. The truth has come to you from your lord so do not be of the doubters.
S 11:110 And we gave Musa the Book but it was differed concerning it. And had it not been for a word that preceded from your lord it would have been decided between them. And they are in suspicious doubt about it.
S 12:1 Alif lam ra. Those are signs of the clear book.
S 13:1 Alif lam mim ra. Those are the signs of the book. And that which has been sent down to you from your lord is the truth but most people do not believe.
S 13:36 And those we gave the Book to rejoice over what has been sent down to you and among the parties is he who denies some of it. Say: I have only been commanded to worship Allah and not to associate with him. To him I call and to him is a repenting.
S 13:39 Allah erases what he wills and restrains. And with him is the mother of the book.
S 13:43 And those who have disbelieved say: You are not a commissary. Say: Sufficient was Allah as a witness between me and you and he who has the knowledge of the book.
S 15:1 Alif lam mim. Those are the signs of the book and of a clear quran.
S 16:64 And we did not send down upon you the book except that you may make clear to them that which they have differed about and as guidance and mercy for people who believe.
S 16:89 And on a day we raise in every nation a witness over them from themselves. And we brought you as a witness over these. And we sent down upon you the book as clarification for everything and as guidance and mercy and good news for the Muslims.
S 17:2 And we gave Musa the Book and made it guidance for the Banu Isra'il: Not to take an agent instead of me.
S 17:4 And we preordained to the Banu Isra’il in the Book: You shall corrupt in the land twice and be exalted in big exaltedness.
S 17:58 And there is no village but we are going to destroy it before the day of resurrection or torture it with severe torture. That was mastur in the book.
S 18:1 Praise be to Lah who has sent down upon his slave the book and has not made crookedness for it.
S 18:49 And the book was placed and you see the criminals abject from what is therein and they say: Woe is us! What is this book that does not leave a minor sin or a major except it has enumerated it? And they found what they had done present. And your lord does not wrong anyone.
S 19:12 Yahya, take the book with strength. And we gave him the judgment as a boy
S 19:16 And mention in the book Maryam, when she withdrew from her family to an eastern place.
S 19:30 He said: I am Allah’s slave. He has given me the Book and made me a prophet
S 19:41 And mention Ibrahim in the book. He was a truthful man, a prophet.
S 19:51 And mention Musa in the book. He was sincere and was a messenger, a prophet.
S 19:54 And mention Isma’il in the book. He was true to the promise and was a messenger, a prophet.
S 19:56 And mention Idris in the book. He was a truthful man, a prophet.
S 23:49 And we gave Musa the Book; perhaps they would be guided.
S 24:33 And let those who do not find nikah refrain until Allah enriches them from his favour. And those who seek the contract [al-kitab 'the book'] of those whom your right hands have possessed, give them the contract if you know good in them and give them from Allah’s money which he has given you. And do not compel your maids to prostitution if they want fortification, that you may seek goods of the dunya life. And he who compels them, Allah after their compulsion is a forgiver, merciful.
S 25:35 And we gave Musa the Book and we put with him his brother Harun as a minister.
S 26:2 Those are the signs of the clear book.
S 27:40 The one who had knowledge of the Book said: I shall bring you it before your glance returns to you. Then when he saw it fixed before him he said: This is of my lord’s favour to test me whether I thank or am ungrateful. And he who has thanked, he only thanks for his soul. And he who was ungrateful, my lord is rich, noble.
S 28:2 Those are the signs of the clear book.
S 28:43 And we gave Musa the Book after we had destroyed the first centuries as basa’ir for people and guidance and mercy; perhaps they will remember.
S 28:52 Those whom we gave the Book to before it, they believe in it.
S 28:86 And you were not hoping for the book to be thrown to you except as mercy from your lord. So do not be an assistant for the kafirun.
S 29:27 And we gave him Ishaq and Ya’qub and we put in his offspring the prophethood and the Book. And we gave him his wage in the dunya. And he in the hereafter is of the righteous.
S 29:45 Read what you have been inspired with of the book and perform salat. Salat forbids fahsha’ and baseness and Allah’s dhikr is bigger. And Allah knows what you do.
S 29:46 And do not argue with the People of the Book except in that which is best, except those who have wronged among them, and say: We have believed in that which has been sent down to us and sent down to you and our god and your God are one and we are Muslims to him.
S 29:47 And thus have we sent down to you the book. So those whom we gave the Book to believe in it. And among these is he who believes in it. And none rejects our verses but the kafirun.
S 29:51 Has it not sufficed them that we have sent down upon you the book read to them? In that there is mercy and remembrance for people who believe.
S 31:2 Those are the signs of the wise book.
S 32:2 A tanzil of the book. There is no doubt therein, from the lord of the ‘alamin.
S 32:23 And we gave Musa the Book so do not be in doubt about his meeting. And we made it guidance for the Banu Isra’il.
S 33:26 And he sent down those who had aided them of the People of the Book from their strongholds and threw terror into their hearts. A party you kill and a party you capture.
S 35:25 And if they call you a liar, those before them accused of lying. Their messengers came to them with the proofs and with the zubur and with the bright Book.
S 35:31 And which we have inspired you with of the book. It is the truth, confirming what is in front of it. Allah is an expert in his slaves, a seer.
S 35:32 Then we caused those we have chosen of our slaves to inherit the book. And among them is one who wrongs himself and among them is one who is frugal and among them is one who is excelling in the good things with Allah’s permission. That is the big favour.
S 37:117 And we gave them the clarifying Book.
S 39:1 A tanzil of the book from Allah, the mighty, the wise.
S 39:2 We have sent down to you the book in truth so worship Allah, sincerely towards him in religion.
S 39:41 We have sent down the book upon you for people in truth. So he who has been guided, it is for his soul and he who has strayed, he only strays against it. And you are not an agent over them.
S 39:69 And the Earth shone with the light of its lord and the book was placed and the prophets and the witnesses were brought and it was decided between them in truth and they are not wronged.
S 40:2 A tanzil of the book from Allah, the mighty, the learned,
S 40:53 And we gave Musa the guidance and caused the Banu Isra'il to inherit the Book,
S 40:70 Those who have called the book a lie and what we have sent our messengers with but they will know.
S 41:45 And we gave Musa the Book but it was differed therein. And had speech not preceded from your lord it would have been decided between them. And they are in doubt about it, feeling doubt.
S 42:14 And they did not disperse but after knowledge had come to them as tyranny among them. And had a word not preceded from your lord for a designated term it would have been decided among them. And those who were made to inherit the Book after them are in suspicious doubt about it.
S 42:17 Allah is the one who has sent down the book with truth and the balance. And what will make you know? Perhaps the Hour is near.
S 42:52 And thus have we inspired you with a spirit from our command. You did not know what the book was nor faith. But we made it a light. We guide therewith whom we will of our slaves. And you guide to a straight path,
S 43:2 By the clear book.
S 43:4 It is in the mother of the book with us, high, wise.
S 44:2 By the clear book.
S 45:2 A tanzil of the book from Allah the mighty, the wise.
S 45:16 And we gave the Banu Isra’il the Book and the power and the prophethood and we provided them from the good things and we preferred them to the ‘alamin.
S 46:2 A tanzil of the book from Allah, the mighty, the wise.
S 57:16 Has it not come for those who have believed for their hearts to yield to Allah’s dhikr and what has come down of the truth? And that they should not be like those who were given the Book before and the appointed time was long for them so their hearts hardened and many of them are fasiqun.
S 57:25 We sent our messengers with the proofs and we sent down with them the book and the balance that people might stand with equity. And we sent down iron wherein is severe horribleness and benefits for people and that Allah might know him who helps him and his messengers in the ghayb. Allah is strong, mighty.
S 57:26 And we sent Nuh and Ibrahim and put in their offspring the prophethood and the Book and among them is one guided and many of them are fasiqun.
S 57:29 Lest the People of the Book know they do not have power over anything from Allah’s favour and that the favour is in Allah’s hand. He gives it to whom he wills. And Allah is the possessor of the great favour.
S 59:2 He is the one who expelled those who had disbelieved of the People of the Book from their homes at the first banishment. You did not think that they would come out and they thought that their fortresses would defend them against Allah. But Allah came to them from where they did not take into consideration and he cast terror into their hearts, they destroyed their houses with their hands and the hands of the believers. So learn a lesson, possessors of eyesight.
S 59:11 Have you not seen those who have played the hypocrite saying to their brothers, those who have disbelieved of the People of the Book: If you are expelled we will go out with you and will never obey anyone concerning you and if you are fought we will help you? And Allah bears witness that they are liars.
S 62:2 He is the one who has raised among the ummiyun a messenger from them, reading to them his verses and purifying them and teaching them the book and the wisdom, although they were before in obvious error.
S 74:31 And we have not made the companions of the fire but angels. And we have not made their number except as fitnah for those who have disbelieved that those who were given the Book may be certain and that those who have believed may increase in faith and that those who were given the Book and the believers may not doubt and that those in whose hearts is disease and the kafirun may say: What did Allah want by this similitude? Thus Allah misguides whom he wills and guides whom he wills. And none knows your lord’s troops but him. And it is nothing but a remembrance for the human being.
S 98:1 Those who had disbelieved of the People of the Book and of the mushrikun were not to be dissolved until the proof should come to them,
S 98:4 And those who were given the Book did not disperse except after the proof came to them.
S 98:6 Those who have disbelieved of the People of the Book and of the mushrikun are in the fire of Jahannam, abiding therein indefinitely. Those--they are the worst of creatures.
