This phrase occurs twice. In other passages the word 'dominion' is used for 'kingdom'.

S 6:75 And thus do we show Ibrahim the kingdom of the skies and the Earth that he may be of the certain.

Notice that the author doesn't say earths. In Islamic theology, there are seven.

S 7:185  Have they not looked in the kingdom of the skies and the Earth and what Allah created of a thing and that perhaps their term has approached? So in what hadith after it do they believe?

Is what Allah created different from the skies and the Earth? Quran of course is termed a hadith. Allah too.
