The qurans speak of Adam, but who is he?

S 2:31 And he taught Adam all their names. Then he displayed them to the angels and said: Inform me of the names of these, if you are truthful.

S 2:33 He said: Adam, inform them of their names. Then when he had informed them of their names he said: Did I not tell you I know the ghayb of the skies and the Earth and what you reveal and what you were concealing?

S 2:34 And when we said to the angels: Do sujud to Adam, they did sujud except Iblis. He refused and was arrogant and was of the kafirun.

S 2:35 And we said: Adam, dwell, you and your husband, in the Jannah and eat of it carefree where you have willed. But do not approach this tree so you be of the wrongdoers.

S 2:37 Then Adam received words from his lord. So he repented for him. He is the repenter, the merciful.

S 3:33 Allah chose Adam and Nuh and Ibrahim’s family and Imran’s family over the ‘alamin.

Adam and Nuh, Ibrahim's family and Imran's were chosen over the worlds?

S 3:59 The example of Isa with Allah is as the example of Adam. He created him from dust then said to him: Be and he is.

S 5:27 And read to them the news of the two sons of Adam in truth, when they offered a qurban and it was accepted from one of them but was not accepted from the other. He said: I will kill you. He said: Allah only accepts from the fearers.

S 7:11 And we created you then we formed you. Then we said to the angels: Do sujud to Adam. So they did sujud except Iblis. He was not of those who did sujud.

S 7:19 And Adam, dwell, you and your husband, in the Jannah, and eat from where you will but do not approach this tree lest you be of the wrongdoers.

S 17:61 And when we said to the angels: Do sujud to Adam, they did sujud, except Iblis. He said: Am I to do sujud to one you have created as clay?

S 18:50 And when we said to the angels: Do sujud to Adam. So they did sujud except Iblis. He was of the jinn. And he acted immorally against his lord’s command. So do you take him and his offspring as protectors instead of me when they are an enemy to you? Miserable was an exchange for the wrongdoers.

S 19:58 Those are the ones Allah graced of the prophets of Adam’s offspring and of him we carried with Nuh and of Ibrahim’s offspring and Isra’il's and of those we guided and selected. When Al-Rahman’s verses are read to them they fell doing sujud and weeping.

S 20:115 And we made a covenant with Adam before but he forgot and we did not find resolve for him.

S 20:116 And when we said to the angels: Do sujud to Adam, they did sujud, except Iblis; he refused.

S 20:117 Then we said: Adam, this is an enemy to you and to your husband. So do not let him expel you two from the Jannah so you would be wretched.

S 20:120 Then the Devil whispered to him. He said: Adam, shall I direct you to the Tree of Perpetuity and a dominion that does not wear out?

S 20:121 So they two ate from it and their pudenda appeared to them and they began to fasten upon them from the leaves of the Jannah. And Adam disobeyed his lord and strayed.

The qurans do speak of the Banu Adam a calque of the Hebrew bney Adam literally 'sons of Adam', signifying 'human beings', but as Banu designates an Arab tribe, the Banu Adam should be Arabs.

Instances of Banu Adam:

S 7:26 Banu Adam, we have sent down upon you clothing. It covers your pudenda and feathering. And the clothing of taqwa, that is best. That is of Allah's signs. Perhaps they will remember.

S 7:27 Banu Adam, let the Devil not tempt you as he expelled your parents from the Jannah, stripping them of their clothes to show them their pudenda. He sees you, he and his tribe, from where you do not see them. We have made the devils protectors for those who do not believe.

S 7:31 Banu Adam, take your adornment at every mosque and eat and drink and do not exceed. He does not love the exceeders.

S 7:35 Banu Adam, if messengers from you come to you relating to you my verses, then those who have feared and reformed, then there is no fear upon them nor do they grieve.

But wasn't/isn't Allah's boss supposed to be the last messenger?

S 7:172 And when your lord took from the Banu Adam, from their backs, their offspring and made them testify against themselves. Am I not your lord? They said: Yes, we have testified. Lest you should say on the day of resurrection: We were unaware of this.

S 17:70 And we honoured the Banu Adam and carried them in the land and the sea and provided them from the good things and preferred them to many of those we had created with preference.

S 36:60 Did I not covenant with you, Banu Adam: Do not worship the Devil? He is an obvious enemy for you.
