The Quran speaks of an incident involving 'Lut's people'.
S 7:80-81 And Lut when he said to his people: Do you come to fahishah that no-one of the ‘alamin has preceded you in? You come to men lustfully instead of women. Rather, you are a people who are extravagant.
'Prophet' Lut offers them his daughters, but they're not interested.
S 11:78-79 And his people came to him rushing towards him and before they were doing the evil deeds. He said: People, these are my daughters. They are purer for you. So fear Allah and do not disgrace me concerning my guest. Is there not a reasonable man among you? They said: You knew we had no right concerning your daughters and you know what we want.
S 15:67-72 And the people of the city came rejoicing. He said: These are my guest so do not expose me And fear Allah and do not disgrace me. They said: Did we not forbid you from the ‘alamin? He said: These are my daughters if you are doers. Your life, they are wandering in their intoxication!
What is the punishment for homosexuals?
S 4:15-16 And those who commit fahishah of your women then call witnesses against them, four among you. And if they testify then detain them in the houses until death causes them to die or Allah makes a way for them. And those two men who commit it among you, torture them. But if they repent and reform then turn away from them. Allah was repenting, merciful.
Understanding these two verses to refer to those arrested for homosexuality, lesbians are imprisoned for life while males are 'tortured' and if they repent, they are apparently released.
Narrated Jabir:
That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "What I fear most from my Ummah is the behavior of the people of Lut."
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whomever you find doing the actions of the people of Lut then kill the one doing it, and the one it is done to."
Ibn ‘Abbas and Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Accursed is he who does what Lot's people did." In a version by him on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbas it says that ‘Ali had the two people concerned burned and that Abu Bakr had a wall thrown down on them. Razin transmitted it.
Narrated 'Ubaid-Ullah bin Adi bin Khiyar:
I went to 'Uthman bin Affan while he was besieged, and said to him, "You are the chief of all Muslims in general and you see what has befallen you. We are led in the Salat (prayer) by a leader of Al-Fitan (trials and afflictions etc.) and we are afraid of being sinful in following him." 'Uthman said. "As-Salat (the prayers) is the best of all deeds so when the people do good deeds do the same with them and when they do bad deeds, avoid those bad deeds." Az-Zuhri said, "In our opinion one should not offer Salat behind an effeminate person unless there is no alternative."
Narrated Usayd ibn Hudayr,:
AbdurRahman ibn AbuLayla, quoting Usayd ibn Hudayr, a man of the Ansar, said that while he was given to jesting and was talking to the people and making them laugh, the Prophet (ﷺ) poked him under the ribs with a stick. He said: Let me take retaliation. He said: Take retaliation. He said: You are wearing a shirt but I am not. The Prophet (ﷺ) then raised his shirt and the man embraced him and began to kiss his side. Then he said: This is what I wanted, Messenger of Allah!
