A Messenger To the World

Muslims will cite a Gospel passage and say that Jesus was sent only to the lost sheep of the House of Israel.

In S 14:4 we read: And we have not sent any messenger except with the tongue of his people to clarify for them. And Allah misguides whom he wills and guides whom he wills. And he is the mighty, the wise.

Messengers were sent only 'with' (sic) their language to their people. Regarding S 61:6 the Jalalayn say:

And mention when Jesus son of Mary said ‘O Children of Israel — he did not say ‘O my people’ as did Moses because he was not related to them in any way — I am indeed God’s messenger to you confirming what is before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger who will come after me whose name is Ahmad.’ God exalted be He says Yet when he brought them when Ahmad brought the disbelievers the clear signs the revelations and the indications they said ‘This namely what has been brought is manifest sorcery!’ sihrun a variant reading has sāhirun ‘a sorcerer’ meaning the one who has brought them is a manifest sorcerer. Isa, Allah's word and spirit, was a messenger to the Banu Isra'il. If he was not of them, why was he their messenger?

Now, Muslims will say that Allah's boss was sent to the world. But we have just seen S 14:4. Whereas an exception could be argued for Allah's word and spirit, no exception can be made for an ordinary man.

On top of that, Allah's boss was restricted to Mecca and to a mile or so beyond it.

S 6:92 And this is a book; we have sent it down, blessed, confirming that which is in front of it and that you may warn the mother of the villages and those who are around it. And those who believe in the hereafter believe in it and they are guarding over their salat.
