S 58:21 Allah has written: I will defeat, I and my messengers. Allah is strong, mighty.

Allah would defeat, it and its messengers. If Allah is mighty, why does it AND its messengers defeat? Does it need help? Are they its partners? One further problem is messengers. If the author was the last messenger, who are the others? And were these other messengers, if Musa, etc., alive in the 7th Century?

From the Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs:

(Allah hath decreed: Lo! I verily shall conquer, I and My messengers) i.e. Muhammad (pbuh) they shall conquer Persia, Byzantium, the hypocrites and the Jews. (Lo! Allah is Strong) through giving help to his prophets, (Almighty) in retribution against His enemies. This was revealed about 'Abdullah Ibn Ubayy Ibn Salul who said to the true believers: “Do you really think that you shall conquer Persia and Byzantium?”.

Now, if the verse was 'revealed' concerning planned conquests of Persia and Byzantium, the author and founder of Islam was in his grave during the conquests. So was Allah's boss helping Allah to conquer them from the grave?
