S 19:41 And mention Ibrahim in the book. He was a truthful man, a prophet.

S 19:56 And mention Idris in the book. He was a truthful man, a prophet.

Ibrahim and Idris were truthful men and prophets.

S 19:51 And mention Musa in the book. He was sincere and was a messenger, a prophet.

S 19:54 And mention Isma’il in the book. He was true to the promise and was a messenger, a prophet.

Musa and Isma'il were messengers and prophets. Why were?

S 19:30 He [Isa] said: I am Allah’s slave. He has given me the Book and made me a prophet

Isa is called a prophet.

S 4:171 People of the Book, do not exceed in your religion nor say about Allah but the truth. The Messiah Isa the son of Maryam is only a messenger of Allah’s and his word which he threw to Maryam and spirit from him. So believe in Allah and his messengers and do not say Three. Cease; it is better for you. Allah is only one god. Praise be to him that he should have a child! His is what is in the skies and what is on the Earth. And Allah was sufficient as an agent.

Isa is the Messiah, so we are told, and a messenger. He may also be said to be a prophet. Why is? The messengers and prophets, in reality or otherwise, listed above died and remain where they were laid; Isa too died (see my post Isa's Death ) but was raised to Allah; he is not in a grave.

How can Muslims say that the founder of Islam is a messenger and prophet? He's in his grave.
