Buying At a Low Price

What did the author mean by 'buying at a low price'?

S 2:41  And believe in what I have sent down confirming what is with you and do not be the first kafir of it. And do not buy my verses at a low price and me then you fear.

S 2:79 So woe to those who write the book with their hands then say: This is from Allah, to buy therewith at a low price. So woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn.

Those Who Write a Book

S 2:174 Those who conceal what Allah has sent down of the book and buy therewith at a low price--those do not eat in their bellies except the fire. And Allah does not speak to them on the day of resurrection nor purify them, and theirs is painful torture.

S 3:77 Those who buy Allah’s covenant and their oaths at a low price, those--there is no share for them in the hereafter and Allah does not speak to them or look at them on the day of resurrection or purify them and theirs is painful torture.

Who might be selling this covenant? Oaths can be bought?

S 3:187 And when Allah took a covenant of those who were given the Book: You shall make it clear to people and not conceal it. But they threw it behind their backs and bought it at a low price. So miserable was what they buy.

They threw the Book behind their backs then bought it? From whom? The Book was a miserable purchase?

S 3:199 And among the People of the Book are those who believe in Allah and what has been sent down to you and what has been sent down to them, humble towards Lah. They do not buy Allah’s verses at a low price. Those, for them is their wage with their lord. Allah is the quick in account.

How much do Allah's verses go for?

S 5:44  We sent down the Torah; therein is guidance and light. The prophets, those who have surrendered for those who were Jewish, judge by it, and the rabbaniyun and the rabbis what they were entrusted with of Allah’s Book and they were witnesses over it. So do not fear people but fear me. And do not buy my verses at a low price. And those who have not judged by what Allah has sent down--those are the kafirun.

As we have read, the People of the Book were paying good money for it. But others were buying it cheap?

S 9:9 They have bought Allah’s verses at a low price and hindered from his way. They, evil is what they used to do.

S 16:95 And do not buy Allah’s covenant at a low price. What is with Allah, it is better for you if you were knowing.

Would Allah prefer buying at a high price?
