S 5:33 The recompense of those who war against Allah and his messenger and chase corruption in the land is only that they be massacred or crucified or have their hands and their feet cut off on opposite sides or be exiled from the land. That for them is disgrace in the dunya and theirs in the hereafter is great torture.

S 7:124 I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides then I will crucify you all.

S 12:41 My two prison companions, as for one of you, he will give his lord wine to drink; and as for the other, he will be crucified and the bird will eat from his head. The matter about which you enquire has been decided.

S 20:71 He said: You have believed him before I give you permission. He is your chief, who taught you magic. So I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides and crucify you on the trunks of date palms and you shall know which of us is severer in torture and more lasting.

S 26:49 He said: You have believed in him before I permit you. He is your big one who has taught you magic so you will know I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides and I will crucify you all.

Crucifixion was supposedly practised by the Ancient Egyptians and Fir'awn threatens people with it. 'Allah' threatens people with it. Is Allah imitating Fir'awn?

On the question of whether the Egyptians practised crucifixion:

S 4:157 And their saying: We killed the Messiah, Isa son of Maryam, the messenger of Allah. And they did not kill him and they did not crucify him but it was made to appear to them. And those who have differed about it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, of a certainty.

This passage may be seen as not ruling out that the Crucifixion took place. We may compare this verse with S 8:17 And you did not kill them but Allah killed them. And you did not throw when you threw but Allah threw and to test the believers with a good test from him. Allah is a hearer, learned.

Did the Muslims kill and throw, or did Allah? The Muslims, of course. But Allah was behind their actions. If we accept that Islam is true. Likewise Isa was crucified and Allah was behind it.
