The name Jibril appears in approximately three verses.
S 2:97 Say: He who was an enemy to Jibril, he sent it down upon your heart with Allah’s permission, confirming what is in front of it and as guidance and good news for the believers.
'He who was an enemy'?
S 2:98 He who was an enemy to Lah and his angels and his messengers and Jibril and Mikal, Allah is an enemy to the kafirun.
'He who was an enemy'? How might one be an enemy to defunct messengers? Are Jibril and Mikal not angels?
S 66:4 If you repent to Allah--your hearts have deviated. And if you back one another up against him then Allah, he is his mawla and Jibril and the righteous of the believers, and the angels after that are an assistant.
Are Jibril and the righteous among the Muslims the founder of Islam's mawla? Mawla, in my opinion, was not a good choice of word. Mawla can signify an emancipated slave as well as a master. Apparently Arab Christians use this term. Borrowed from them? Again, not a good choice of word. Dictionaries: مولى - Wiktionary Translation and Meaning of مَوْلَى And Is Jibril not an angel?
From Wikipedia: "The word mawla is derived from the rootو ل يw-l-y , meaning "to be close to", "to be friends with", or "to have power over". Mawla can have reciprocal meanings, depending on whether it is used in the active or passive voice: "master" or "slave/freedman", "patron" or "client", "uncle" or "nephew", or simply friend. Originally, the mawāli were clients of an Arab tribe, but with the advent of Islam, the term came to refer to non-Arab Muslims and other client allies of the Muslim community." "The term originated in the pre-Islamic Arabia to refer to a politically-active class of slaves and freedmen,[4][5] Daniel Pipes argued that the first indication of the Mamluk military class were rooted from the practice of early Muslims such as Zubayr ibn al-Awwam and Uthman ibn Affan of owning massive number of slaves and practice of this Islamic manumission of slaves.[6] The Zubayrids army under Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr, son of Zubayr, has practiced these freed slave retainers during the second civil war." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mawla
