S 2:102 And they followed what the devils read over the dominion of Sulayman. And Sulayman did not disbelieve but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and what was sent down to the two angels in Babylon, Harut and Marut. And they do not teach anyone until they say: We are only fitnah, so do not disbelieve. But they learn from them what separates therewith man from his husband. And they do not harm therewith anyone but with Allah’s permission. And they learn what harms them and it does not profit them. And they knew whoever buys it, has no share in the hereafter. And miserable is what they sold themselves therewith, had they known.

S 4:163 We have inspired you as we inspired Nuh and the prophets after him and we inspired Ibrahim and Isma’il and Ishaq and Ya’qub and the tribes and Isa and Ayyub and Yunus and Harun and Sulayman and we gave Dawud a Zabur.

If inspiration implies that the one inspired is a messenger or prophet then were whole tribes made up of messengers or prophets?

S 6:84  And we gave him Ishaq and Ya’qub, all did we guide. And Nuh did we guide before and of his offspring Dawud and Sulayman and Ayyub and Yusuf and Musa and Harun. And thus do we reward the good-doers.

Abraham was given his son and his grandson?

S 21:78 And Dawud and Sulayman when they judge concerning the tilth, when the people’s sheep pastured therein and we were witnesses to their judgment.

'We' were witnesses? So?

S 21:79 And we made Sulayman understand it and each did we give judgment and knowledge. And we subjected with Dawud the mountains glorifying and the bird. And we were doers.

Sentient mountains. As all living things are made from 'water', that must include the mountains. And as everything is in pairs, they presumably mate.

S 21:81 And to Sulayman the wind, a storm, running by his command to the land which we have blessed. And we were knowers of everything.

S 27:15 And we gave Dawud and Sulayman knowledge and they said: Praise be to Lah, the one who has preferred us to many of his believing slaves.

S 27:16 And Sulayman inherited Dawud. And he said: People, we have been taught bird language and we have been given everything. This, it is the obvious favour.

'Inherited' here means 'succeeded'. If Sulayman was taught BIRD language, how did he learn Ant?

S 27:17 And his troops of jinn and man and bird were gathered to Sulayman and they are marshalled.

S 27:18  Until when they came upon the wadi of the ants an ant said: Ants, enter your dwellings lest Sulayman and his troops crush you not perceiving.

S 27:30  It is from Sulayman and it is: In the name of Allah, Al-Rahman, Al-Rahim.

S 27:36 So when it came to Sulayman he said: Do you bring me money? But what Allah has given me is better than what he has given you. Rather, you rejoice in your gift.

S 27:44 It was said to her: Enter the sarh. Then when she saw it she thought it a depth and uncovered her legs. He said: It is a sarh, polished, of crystal. She said: Lord, I have wronged myself and I have surrendered with Sulayman to Lah, lord of the ‘alamin.

S 34:12 And to Sulayman the wind. Its morning errand a month and its afternoon errand a month and we caused the spring of qitr to flow for him. And of the jinn those who worked in front of him with his lord’s permission. And he who deviates among them from our command, we make him taste of the torture of the blaze.

S 38:30  And we gave Dawud Sulayman; excellent was the slave. He is repentant.

He is repentant?

S 38:34 And we tested Sulayman and threw onto his chair a body then he repented.

Some of these verses are based on Jewish sources. See: Legends of the Jews index

In all of these, I've not found a claim that he was a prophet.
