Messenger(s):
S 2:87 And we gave Musa the Book and sent the messengers after him. And we gave Isa son of Maryam the proofs and supported him with the Holy Spirit. So has every time a messenger come to you with what your souls do not desire you have been arrogant? So a party you accused of lying and a party you kill.
S 2:98 He who was an enemy to Lah and his angels and his messengers and Jibril and Mikal, Allah is an enemy to the kafirun.
S 2:101 And when a messenger came to them from Allah confirming what is with them, a party of those who were given the Book chucked Allah’s book behind their backs as though they do not know.
S 2:108 Or do you want to ask your messenger as Musa was asked before? And he who accepts kufr in exchange for faith has strayed from the sameness of the way.
S 2:129 Our lord, and raise among them a messenger from them reading your verses to them and teaching them the book and the wisdom and purifying them. You are the mighty, the wise.
S 2:143 And thus we have made you a middle nation that you may be witnesses over people and that the messenger may be a witness over you. And we have not made the qiblah which you were on except that we might know who follows the messenger from him who turns on his heels. And it was an enormity except for those whom Allah had guided. And Allah was not to waste your faith. Allah is kind, merciful to people.
S 2:151 As we sent among you a messenger from you reading to you our verses and purifying you and teaching you the book and the wisdom and teaching you what you did not know.
S 2:214 Or did you think that you would enter the Jannah while the similitude of those who passed away before you has not come to you? Suffering and adversity touched them and they were shaken until the messenger says and those who believed with him: When is Allah’s victory? Indeed, Allah’s victory is near.
S 2:253 Those messengers--we preferred some of them to others. Of them he whom Allah spoke to and raised some of them in degrees. And we gave Isa son of Maryam the proofs and supported him with the Holy Spirit. And had Allah willed, those after them would not have fought one another, after what the proofs had come to them. But they differed, so of them is he who believed and of them he who disbelieved. And had Allah willed they would not have fought one another, but Allah does what he wants.
S 2:279 But if you have not done then be apprised of war from Allah and his messenger. And if you repent you have heads of your money. You do not wrong and are not wronged.
S 2:285 The messenger has believed in what has been sent down to him from his lord, and the believers. All have believed in Allah and his angels and his books and his messengers. We do not distinguish between any of his messengers. And they have said: We have heard and obeyed. Your forgiveness, our lord, and to you is the destiny.
S 3:32 Say: Obey Allah and the messenger. Then if they turn away then Allah does not love the kafirun.
S 3:49 And a messenger to Banu Isra’il: I have come to you with a sign from your lord that I create for you from clay like the form of a bird and blow into it and it is a bird with Allah’s permission. And I heal the blind and the leper and I vivify the dead with Allah’s permission. And I inform you of what you eat and what you lay by in your houses. In that there is a sign for you if you are believers.
S 3:53 Our lord, we have believed in what you have sent down and we have followed the messenger, so write us with the witnesses.
S 3:81 And when Allah took the covenant of the prophets: What I have given you of a book and wisdom then a messenger has come to you confirming what is with you, you shall believe in him and help him. He said: Have you ratified and taken my compact upon that? They said: We have ratified. He said: Then bear witness and I am with you among the witnesses.
Regarding this "covenant", see: Was Muhammad the Last Messenger?
S 3:86 How will Allah guide a people that has disbelieved after their belief and has testified that the messenger is true and the proofs have come to them? And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.**^
S 3:101 And how could you disbelieve when Allah’s verses are read to you and his messenger is among you? And he who clings to Allah has been guided to a straight path.
This verse appears not to be considered abrogated even though the founder is now a pile of bones.
S 3:132 And obey Allah and the messenger; perhaps you will be shown mercy.
S 3:144 And Muhammad is nothing but a messenger. The messengers passed away before him. So if he dies or is killed, you turn back on your heels? And he who turns back on his heels will not harm Allah at all. And Allah will reward the grateful.
If the messengers passed away before him, was the author not a messenger?
S 3:153 When you go up and do not distort upon anyone and the messenger calls you in your rear. So he remunerated you with grief for grief so that you do not grieve over what you missed out on nor what befell you. And Allah is an expert in what you do.
S 3:164 Allah was benevolent to the believers when he raised among them a messenger from themselves reading to them his verses and purifying them and teaching them the book and the wisdom although they were before in obvious error.
S 3:172 Those who have responded to Lah and the messenger after what the ulcer has afflicted them, for those who have acted good among them and have feared there is a great wage.
S 3:179 Allah would not leave the believers on what you are on until he might distinguish the bad one from the good. And Allah would not apprise you of the ghayb but Allah chooses from his messengers whom he wills, so believe in Allah and his messengers, and if you believe and fear, you have a great wage.
This indicates that Allah is not all-knowing.
S 3:183 Those who said: Allah has recognised from us that we should not believe a messenger until he brings us a qurban which the fire consumes. Say: Messengers came before me with the proofs and with what you speak. So why did you kill them if you are truthful?
S 3:184 So if they have called you a liar then messengers were called liars before you who came with the proofs and the Zubur and the bright book.
S 3:194 Our lord, and give us what you have promised us through your messengers and do not disgrace us on the day of resurrection. You do not break the appointment.
S 4:13 Those are Allah’s hudud and he who obeys Allah and his messenger, he admits him to jannat, rivers running beneath them, abiding therein indefinitely. And that is the great success.
S 4:14 And he who disobeys Allah and his messenger and transgresses his hudud--he admits him to the fire, abiding indefinitely therein. And his is base torture.
Transgresses whose hudud? Who admits him to the fire? Whose is base torture?
S 4:42 On that day those who have disbelieved and disobeyed the messenger wish the Earth had been smoothed with them and they do not conceal from Allah a hadith.
S 4:59 Those who have believed, obey Allah and obey the messenger and those in command among you. Then if you dispute concerning something send it back to Allah and the messenger if you are believing in Allah and the last day. That is better and more seemly for interpretation.
S 4:61 And when it was said to them: Come to what Allah has sent down and to the messenger, you saw the hypocrites turning away from you in disaffection.
S 4:64 And we did not send any messenger except to be obeyed with Allah’s permission. And had they when they had wronged themselves come to you and asked Allah for forgiveness and the messenger had asked for forgiveness for them they would have found Allah a repenter, merciful.
S 4:69 And those who obey Allah and the messenger, then those are with those whom Allah has graced of the prophets and the truthful and the martyrs and the righteous. And good was those as a fellow.
S 4:79 What has befallen you of good, it is from Allah and what has befallen you of ill, it is from yourself. And we have sent you to the people as a messenger and sufficient was Allah as a witness.
S 4:80 He who obeys the messenger has obeyed Allah and he who has turned away--we have not sent you as a keeper over them.
S 4:83 And when a matter of security came to them or fear they broadcasted it. And had they sent it back to the messenger and to those in authority among them, those who draw conclusions among them would have known it. And had Allah’s favour not been upon you and his mercy, you would have followed the Devil, except a few.
S 4:100 And he who emigrates in the way of Allah finds in the land many places of refuge and capacity. And he who leaves his house as an emigrant to Allah and his messenger then death overtakes him then his wage was incumbent on Allah. And Allah was a forgiver, merciful.
An emigrant to Allah and the author?
S 4:115 And he who opposes the messenger after what has become clear to him, the guidance, and follows other than the way of the believers, we turn him to what he has given up and roast him in Jahannam and evil was it as a destiny.
S 4:136 Those who have believed, believe in Allah and his messenger and the book that he sent down upon his messenger and the Book that he sent down before. And he who disbelieves in Allah and his angels and his books and his messengers and the last day, he has strayed far.
Believe in Allah and the author?
S 4:150 Those who disbelieve in Allah and his messengers and want to differentiate between Allah and his messengers and they say: We believe in some and disbelieve in others. And they want to take a way between that.
S 4:152 And those who have believed in Allah and his messengers and have not differentiated between any of them, those--he will give them their wages. And Allah was a forgiver, merciful.
S 4:157 And their saying: We killed the Messiah, Isa son of Maryam, the messenger of Allah. And they did not kill him and they did not crucify him but it was made to appear to them. And those who have differed about it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, of a certainty.
S 4:164 And messengers, we have related them to you before and messengers that we have not related to you. And Allah spoke to Musa in conversation.
S 4:165 Messengers bringing good news and warners so that people would have no argument against Allah after the messengers. And Allah was mighty, wise.
Is a warner not a messenger?
S 4:170 People, the messenger has come to you with the truth from your lord so believe. It is better for you. But if you disbelieve, then Lah’s is what is in the skies and the Earth. And Allah was learned, wise.
S 4:171 People of the Book, do not exceed in your religion nor say about Allah but the truth. The Messiah Isa the son of Maryam is only a messenger of Allah’s and his word which he threw to Maryam and spirit from him. So believe in Allah and his messengers and do not say Three. Cease; it is better for you. Allah is only one god. Praise be to him that he should have a child! His is what is in the skies and what is on the Earth. And Allah was sufficient as an agent.
S 5:12 And Allah took a covenant of the Banu Isra’il and we raised among them 12 captains. And Allah said: I am with you if you establish salat and give the zakat and believe in my messengers and honour them and give Allah a good loan. I will atone for your evil deeds and admit you to jannat, rivers running beneath them. But he who has disbelieved after that among you, he has strayed from the evenness of the way.
S 5:15 People of the Book, our messenger has come to you making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Book and pardoning much. A light and a clear book have come to you from Allah.
S 5:19 People of the Book, our messenger has come to you, making clear for you concerning the interval of the messengers lest you say: No bringer of good news or nadhir has come to us. A bringer of good news and a nadhir has come to you. And Allah is almighty.
S 5:32 From that term we wrote upon the Banu Isra’il that he who killed a soul for other than a soul or corruption in the land, it is as though he had killed all people and he who saved it, it is as though he had saved all people. And our messengers came to them with the proofs then many of them after that exceed in the land.
S 5:33 The recompense of those who war against Allah and his messenger and chase corruption in the land is only that they be massacred or crucified or have their hands and their feet cut off on opposite sides or be exiled from the land. That for them is disgrace in the dunya and theirs in the hereafter is great torture.
S 5:41 Messenger, let those who hasten in kufr not grieve you, of those who have said: We have believed with their mouths and their hearts have not believed and of those who were Jewish. Hearers of the lie, hearers of other people who have not come to you. They distort the words after their places saying: If you were given this, take it and if you were not given it, watch out. And for whom Allah wants his fitnah you will not be the master for him against Allah at all. Those are the ones whose hearts Allah has not wanted to purify. Theirs in the dunya is disgrace and theirs in the hereafter is great torture.
S 5:55 Your protector is only Allah and his messenger and those who have believed, those who perform salat and give the zakat and they are bowers.
S 5:56 And he who takes Allah and his messenger and those who have believed as a protector, Allah’s party, they are the victorious.
Allah, the author and Muslims as a protector (singular)?
S 5:67 Messenger, send what has been sent down to you from your lord and if you have not done so then you have not sent his message. And Allah protects you from people. Allah does not guide the kafirun people.
"Allah protects you from people". But he was assassinated.
S 5:70 We took a covenant of the Banu Isra’il and sent them messengers. Whenever a messenger came to them with what their souls do not desire, a party they denied and a party they kill.
"[A] party they kill". If the author was the last messenger, who are these messengers that are being killed?
S 5:75 The Messiah the son of Maryam is nothing but a messenger. The messengers passed away before him and his mother is truthful. The two of them used to eat food. See how we make the signs clear to them. Then see how deluded they are!
S 5:83 And when they have heard what has been sent down to the messenger you see their eyes overflowing with tears from what they have recognised of the truth. They say: Our lord, we have believed so write us with the witnesses.
S 5:92 And obey Allah and obey the messenger and watch out. And if you turn away then know the clear notice only is upon our messenger.
S 5:99 Nothing is upon the messenger but the notice. And Allah knows what you reveal and what you conceal.
S 5:104 And when it was said to them: Come to what Allah has sent down and to the messenger, they said: Our sufficiency is what we found our fathers on. Even though their fathers were not knowing anything or guided.
S 5:109 A day Allah gathers the messengers and says: What did you answer? They said: We have no knowledge. You, you are the knower of the ghuyub.
S 5:111 And when I inspired the Hawariyun to believe in me and in my messenger they said: We have believed and bear witness that we are Muslims.
S 6:10 And messengers before you were mocked but what they would mock at surrounded those who ridiculed among them.
S 6:34 And messengers were called liars before you but they were patient concerning what they were accused of lying and they were harmed until our help came to them. And none changes Allah’s words and some news of the commissaries has come to you.
S 6:61 And he is the despot over his slaves and he sends keepers over you until when death has come to one of you our messengers have caused him to die and they are not negligent.
S 6:124 And when a verse has come to them they have said: We shall not believe until the like of what was given the messengers of Allah is given. Allah is a knower of where he puts his message. Servility from Allah will afflict those who have committed crime and severe torture for what they were deceiving.
S 6:130 Company of jinn and men, did there not come to you messengers from you relating to you my verses and warning you of a meeting of this your day? They said: We have borne witness against ourselves. And the dunya life has beguiled them and they have borne witness against themselves that they were kafirun.
S 7:35 Banu Adam, if messengers from you come to you relating to you my verses, then those who have feared and reformed, then there is no fear upon them nor do they grieve.
S 7:37 So who is more unjust than he who has fabricated a lie against Allah or has called his verses a lie? Those, their share from the book reaches them until when our messengers came to them causing them to die. They said: Where is what you used to invoke instead of Allah? They said: They strayed from us. And they testified against themselves that they were kafirun.
"[M]essengers" here presumably refers to angels. So why not say angels?
S 7:43 And we pulled out what is in their chests of malignity. Rivers run beneath them. And they said: Praise be to Lah who has guided us to this and we were not to be guided if Allah had not guided us. Our lord’s messengers came with the truth. And they were called: That is the Jannah, you have been caused to inherit it for what you used to do.
S 7:53 Do they await but its interpretation? A day its interpretation comes those who forgot it before say: Our lord’s messengers came with the truth so do we have any intercessors that they may intercede for us or are we returned that we may do other than that which we used to do? They have lost themselves and strayed from them has what they used to fabricate.
S 7:61 He said: People, there is no deludedness in me but I am a messenger from the lord of the ‘alamin.
S 7:67 He said: People, there is no foolishness in me but I am a messenger from the lord of the ‘alamin.
S 7:101 Those villages--we relate to you from their news. And their messengers came to them with the proofs but they would not believe in what they had called a lie before. Thus Allah seals the hearts of the kafirun.
S 7:104 And Musa said: Fir’awn, I am a messenger from the lord of the ‘alamin.
S 7:157 Those who follow the messenger, the ummi prophet, whom they find written with them in the Torah and the Injil. He commands them kindnessand forbids them baseness and declares lawful for them the good things and declares unlawful for them the bad and lays their burden from them and the shackles that were on them. So those who have believed in him and aided him and helped him and followed the light that was sent down with him, those are the successful.
S 7:158 Say: People, I am Allah’s messenger to you all, the one whose is the dominion of the skies and the Earth. There is no god but him. He vivifies and causes to die. So believe in Allah and his messenger, the ummi prophet, the one who believes in Allah and his words, and follow him; perhaps you will be guided.
S 8:1 They ask you about the spoils. Say: The spoils are Lah’s and the messenger’s. So fear Allah and reform your disagreement and obey Allah and his messenger if you are believers.
S 8:13 That is because they have opposed Allah and his messenger. And he who opposes Allah and his messenger, Allah is the severe in punishment.
S 8:20 Those who have believed, obey Allah and his messenger. And do not turn away from him while you hear.
S 8:24 Those who have believed, respond to Lah and to his messenger when he has called you to what vivifies you. And know that Allah shifts between a man and his heart and that to him are you gathered.
S 8:27 Those who have believed, do not betray Allah and the messenger and betray your trusts while you know.
S 8:41 And know that what you have plundered of a thing, that Lah’s is a fifth of it and the messenger’s and the relatives’ and the orphans’ and the needy ones’ and the traveller’s, if you believe in Allah and what we sent down upon our slave on the day of the Furqan, a day the two crowds met. And Allah is almighty.
S 8:46 And obey Allah and his messenger and do not contend so that you fail and your wind go, and be patient. Allah is with the patient.
S 9:1 Absolution from Allah and his messenger to those who have made a treaty with the mushrikun.
The word used can mean 'absolution', a religious term.
S 9:3 An announcement from Allah and his messenger to people on the day of the greater Hajj that Allah is free from the mushrikun, and his messenger. So if you repent he is better for you. But if you turn away then know that you cannot escape Allah. And give good news to those who have disbelieved of painful torture.
S 9:7 How can there be a treaty with Allah and with his messenger for the mushrikun except those whom you have made a treaty at the Sacred Mosque? So what they have been straight for you so you be straight for them. Allah loves the fearers.
Why would God enter into a treaty?
S 9:13 Will you not fight a people who have broken their oaths and have disquietened to expel the messenger and they have begun you the first time? Do you fear them? But Allah is worthier that you should fear him if you are believers. *^
S 9:16 Or did you think that you would be left when Allah did not know those who waged jihad among you and they did not take a confidant instead of Allah and his messenger and the believers? And Allah is an expert in what you do.
S 9:24 Say: If your fathers and your sons and your brothers and your husbands and your clan and monies you have committed and trade you fear a slump therein and dwellings you have taken pleasure in are more beloved to you than Allah and his messenger and jihad in his way, then lie in wait until Allah brings his command. And Allah does not guide the fasiq people.
S 9:26 Then Allah sent down his shekhinah upon his messenger and upon the believers and sent down troops you did not see and tortured those who had disbelieved. And that is the recompense of the kafirun.
The word Shekhinah refers to God's presence in the Temple.
S 9:29 Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the last day and do not forbid what Allah and his messenger have forbidden and do not submit to the religion of truth of those who were given the Book until they give the jizyah from subjection while they are abased.
For jizyah: Ibn Al Kathir commentary for verses 9.28-29
S 9:33 He is the one who has sent his messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, even if the mushrikun dislike it.
S 9:54 And nothing prevented them that their expenses be accepted from them except that they disbelieved in Allah and in his messenger and they do not come to the salat except while they are lazy and they do not spend except while they are unwilling.
S 9:59 And had they been pleased with what Allah and his messenger had given them and said: Our sufficiency is Allah. Allah will give us from his favour, and his messenger. We are seekers to Allah.
S 9:61 And among them are those who harm the prophet and say: He is an ear. Say: An ear of good for you. He believes in Allah and believes the believers and is a mercy to those who have believed among you. And those who harm Allah’s messenger, theirs is painful torture.
S 9:62 They swear by Allah to you to please you. And Allah and his messenger have more right that they should please him if they are believers.
That they should please him?
S 9:63 Have they not known that he who opposes Allah and his messenger, that his is the fire of Jahannam, abiding therein indefinitely? That is the great disgrace.
S 9:65 And if you asked them they would say: We were only wading and playing. Say: Is it Allah and his verses and his messenger you were mocking?
S 9:70 Has the news of those before them not come to them, Nuh’s people and Ad’s and Thamud’s and Ibrahim’s people and the companions of Madyan and the mu’tafikat? Their messengers came to them with the proofs. And Allah would not wrong them but they were wronging themselves.
S 9:71 And the believing men and the believing women, protectors of one another. They command kindness and forbid baseness and perform the salat and give the zakat and obey Allah and his messenger. Those, Allah will have mercy on them. Allah is mighty, wise.
S 9:74 They swear by Allah they did not say and they said the word of kufr and disbelieved after their Islam and disquetened what they did not get. And they did not take vengeance except that Allah and his messenger had enriched them from his favour. So if they repent, it will be better for them and if they turn away, Allah will torture them with a painful torture in the dunya and the hereafter. And they have no protector or helper in the land.
S 9:80 Ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them. If you ask forgiveness for them 70 times, Allah will not forgive them. That is because they disbelieved in Allah and his messenger and Allah does not guide the fasiq people.
S 9:81 Those remaining behind rejoiced in their seat, going against Allah’s messenger, and they disliked waging jihad with their monies and their souls in the way of Allah and they said: Do not stampede in the heat. Say: The fire of Jahannam is severer in heat. Had they comprehended.
S 9:84 And never pray for any of them who has died nor stand at his grave. They disbelieved in Allah and his messenger and died while they were fasiqun.
S 9:86 And when a surah has been sent down: Believe in Allah and wage jihad with his messenger, the possessors of merit among them have asked you for permission and said: Leave us to be with those sitting.
S 9:88 But the messenger and those who believed with him waged jihad with their monies and their souls. And those, theirs are the good things and those, they are the successful.
S 9:90 And those excusing themselves of the Bedouins came that permission might be given to them and sat, those who lied to Allah and his messenger. He will strike those who have disbelieved among them with painful torture.
S 9:91 There is no difficulty on the weak or on the sick or on those who do not find what they spend if they have given sincere advice to Lah and his messenger. There is no way upon the good-doers. And Allah is a forgiver, merciful.
Given Allah advice?
S 9:94 They excuse themselves to you when you have returned to them. Say: Do not excuse yourselves. We shall not believe you. Allah has informed us of your news and Allah will see your deed, and his messenger. Then you are returned to the knower of the ghayb and the testimony then he informs you of what you used to do.
S 9:97 The Bedouins are severer in kufr and hypocrisy and worthier not to know hudud of what Allah has sent down upon his messenger. And Allah is learned, wise.
Worthy of not knowing the punishments?
S 9:99 And among the Bedouins is he who believes in Allah and the last day and takes what he spends as kinship with Allah and the messenger’s prayers. Indeed, it is kinship for them. Allah will admit them into his mercy. Allah is a forgiver, merciful.
Kinship with Allah? Allah's relatives?
S 9:105 And say: Do, then Allah will see your deed, and his messenger and the believers. And you will be returned to the knower of the ghayb and the testimony then he will inform you of what you used to do.
S 9:107 And those who have taken a mosque for harm and kufr and separation among the believers and as a station for him who has fought Allah and his messenger before. And they shall swear: We have wanted nothing but goodness. And Allah bears witness that they are lying.
S 9:120 It was not for the people of Al-Madinah and those around them of the Bedouins to stay behind Allah’s messenger nor to desire their souls over his soul. That is because they, thirst does not hit them nor exhaustion nor extreme hunger in the way of Allah nor do they step a step that enrages the kuffar nor do they get an attainment from an enemy except it has been written for them in it, a righteous deed. Allah does not waste the wage of the good-doers.
S 9:128 A messenger has come to you from yourselves. Dear to him is what you have suffered. Greedy upon you. To the believers is he kind, merciful
S 10:13 And we destroyed the centuries before you when they wronged and their messengers came to them with the proofs and they would not believe. Thus do we recompense the criminal people.
S 10:21 And when we have made people taste mercy after adversity has touched them, behold, they have a deception against our verses. Say: Allah is quicker in deceiving. Our messengers write what you deceive.
S 10:47 And for every nation there is a messenger. So when their messenger came to them it was judged among them with equity and they are not wronged.
It doesn't say: there was a messenger.
S 10:74 Then we raised after him messengers to their people and they came to them with the proofs. But they would not believe in what they had called a lie before. Thus do we stamp the hearts of the transgressors.
S 10:103 Then we save our messengers and those who have believed. Thus it is law for us to save the believers.
Allah is legally bound to save believers? Are messengers not believers?
S 11:59 And that is Ad. They denied their lord’s signs and beat his messengers and followed the command of every obstinate tyrant.
S 11:69 And our messengers came to Ibrahim with the good news. They said: Peace. He said: Peace. And he did not stay to bring a roasted calf.
S 11:77 And when our messengers had come to Lut he was distressed on their account and was straitened on their account with unease and he said: This is a difficult day.
S 11:81 They said: Lut, we are your lord’s messengers. They will not reach towards you so travel at night with your family in a part of the night and do not let anyone of you look back except your woman. What has struck them is striking her. Their appointment is the morning. Is the morning not near?
S 11:120 And each do we relate to you of the news of the messengers what we fix your heart with. And the truth has come to you in this and exhortation and a recollection for the believers.
S 12:50 And the king said: Bring him to me. And when the messenger came to him he said: Return to your lord and ask him what the mind of the women who cut their hands was. My lord is learned in their scheme.
S 12:110 Until when the messengers gave up hope and thought that they had been lied to our victory came to them and he whom we will was saved. And our horribleness is not returned from the criminal people.
S 13:32 And messengers before you were mocked but I gave respite to those who had disbelieved then I took them and how a punishment was!
S 13:38 And we sent messengers before you and made them husbands and offspring. And it was not for a messenger to bring a sign except with Allah’s permission. For every term a book.
S 14:4 And we have not sent any messenger except with the tongue of his people to clarify for them. And Allah misguides whom he wills and guides whom he wills. And he is the mighty, the wise.
S 14:9 Has the news of those before you, Nuh’s people and Ad’s and Thamud’s, and those after them not come to you? None knows them but Allah. Their messengers came to them with proofs but they returned their hands to their mouths and said: We have disbelieved in what you have been sent with and we are in doubt about what you call us to, doubtful.
S 14:10 Their messengers said: Is there doubt concerning Allah, the splitter of the skies and the Earth? He calls you to forgive you your sins and to postpone for you for a designated term. They said: You are nothing but human beings like us; you want to prevent us from what our fathers used to worship, so bring us clear authority.
S 14:11 Their messengers said to them: We are nothing but human beings the like of you but Allah is benevolent to whom he wills of his slaves. And it was not ours to bring you authority except with Allah’s permission. And in Allah let the believers put their trust.
S 14:13 And those who had disbelieved said to their messengers: You will expel us from our land or return to our cult. So their lord inspired them: We will destroy the wrongdoers.

S 14:47 So do not think Allah is breaking his promise to his messengers. Allah is mighty, a possessor of vengeance.
S 15:11 And no messenger comes to them but they used to mock him.
Comes (present tense)?
S 16:35 And those who have associated have said: Had Allah willed we would not have worshipped anything instead of him, we nor our fathers nor would we have forbidden anything instead of him. Thus did those before them. So is there anything upon the messengers but the clear notice?
S 16:36 And we raised in every nation a messenger: Worship Allah and avoid the taghut. Then among them he whom Allah guided and among them he whom the straying was confirmed against. So travel on the Earth and see how the result of those who accused of lying was.
S 16:113 And a messenger among them came to them but they called him a liar so the torture took them when they were wrongdoers.

S 19:51 And mention Musa in the book. He was sincere and was a messenger, a prophet.
S 19:54 And mention Isma’il in the book. He was true to the promise and was a messenger, a prophet.
Mention them in the Quran? But wasn't it supposedly 'sent down' by Allah?
S 20:47 So go to him and say: We are your lord’s messengers so send with us the Banu Isra’il and do not torture them. We have brought you a sign from your lord. And peace is upon him who has followed the guidance.

S 22:78 And wage jihad for Allah with his due jihad. He has selected you and has not put upon you in the religion any difficulty. The cult of your father Ibrahim. He named you Muslims before and in this, that the messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over people. So establish salat and give zakat and hang on to Allah. He is your mawla. So excellent was the mawla and excellent the helper.
A mawla can mean an emancipated slave.
S 23:32 And we sent among them a messenger from them: Worship Allah. You have no god other than him. So do you not fear?
S 23:44 Then we sent our messengers, one following the other. Every time its messenger came to a nation they accused him of lying, so we made some of them follow others and made them ahadith. So away with a people who do not believe!

S 24:50 Is there disease in their hearts or have they doubted or do they fear that Allah will tyrannise them, and his messenger? Rather, those are the wrongdoers.
S 24:51 The speech of the believers was only when they were called to Allah and his messenger to judge between them for them to say: We have heard and obeyed. And those, they are the successful.
S 24:52 And he who obeys Allah and his messenger and fears Allah and is fearing of him, those are the successful.
S 24:54 Say: Obey Allah and obey the messenger but if you turn away then only what he was he has been caused to carry is upon him and what you have been caused to carry upon you. And if you obey him you will be guided. And nothing is upon the messenger but the clear notice.

S 24:62 The believers are only those who have believed in Allah and his messenger, and when they were with him for a general matter, they did not go until they ask for his permission. Those who ask for your permission, those are the ones who believe in Allah and his messenger. So when they have asked for your permission for some concern of theirs, give permission to whom you have willed of them and ask Allah for forgiveness for them. Allah is a forgiver, merciful.
S 24:63 Do not make the messenger’s call among you like one another’s call. Allah knows those who slip away among you to a shelter. Let those who go against his command beware lest fitnah strikes them or painful torture strikes them.

S 26:107 I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
S 26:125 I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
S 26:143 I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
S 26:162 I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
S 26:178 I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
S 28:47 And were it not that a disaster should strike them for what their hands have offered then they should say: Our lord, why have you not sent us a messenger so we might follow your verses and be of the believers?

S 30:9 Have they not travelled in the Earth and looked how the result of those before them was? They were stronger than they in strength and ploughed the land and constructed it more than what they had constructed it. And their messengers came to them with the proofs. So Allah would not wrong them but they were wronging themselves.
S 30:47 And we sent before you messengers to their people and they came to them with the proofs then we took retribution on those who had committed crime. And it was a right upon us to help the believers.
S 33:12 And when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is disease say: Allah and his messenger have not promised us but delusion.
S 33:21 You had in Allah’s messenger a good exemplar for him who was hoping for Allah and the last day and has remembered Allah much.
S 33:22 And when the believers saw the parties they said: This is what Allah and his messenger promised us and Allah and his messenger have told the truth. And it did not increase them but in faith and submission.
S 33:29 And if you are wanting Allah and his messenger and the hereafter home then Allah has prepared for the good-doers among you a great wage.
S 33:31 And the one among you who is devout towards Lah and his messenger and does a righteous deed, we give her her wage twice and we have prepared for her a generous provision.
Devout towards a man?
S 33:33 And stay in your houses and do not dress up as the dressing up of the first jahiliyyah. And perform salat and give the zakat and obey Allah and his messenger. Allah only wants to remove rijs from you, household, and to purify you with purification.
S 33:36 And it was not for a believing man or a believing woman when Allah and his messenger had decided on a matter that they should have a choice in their matter. And he who disobeys Allah and his messenger has clearly strayed.
S 33:40 Muhammad was not a father of any of your men but Allah’s messenger and the ring of the prophets. And Allah was learned in everything.
S 33:53 Those who have believed, do not enter the prophet’s houses except when permission is given you for food, without waiting for its preparation. But when you are invited, enter, and when you have tasted, disperse and do not seek to remain for hadith. That was harming the prophet and he is shy of you. And Allah is not shy of the truth. And when you ask them for gain, ask them from behind a screen. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts. And it was not for you to harm Allah’s messenger nor to futter his husbands after him ever. That was a horrible thing with Allah.
S 33:57 Those who harm Allah and his messenger, Allah has cursed them in the dunya and the hereafter and he has prepared for them base torture.
Harm Allah?
S 33:66 A day their faces are turned in the fire they say: Would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the messenger!
S 33:71 He corrects your deeds for you and forgives you your sins. And he who obeys Allah and his messenger has won a great win.
S 34:45 And those before them accused of lying and they did not attain a tenth of what we had given them. But they accused my messengers of lying so how a denying was!
S 35:1 Praise be to Lah, splitter of the skies and the Earth, maker of the angels as messengers. Possessors of wings, two and three and four. He increases in creation what he wills. Allah is almighty.
S 35:4 And if they accuse you of lying then messengers before you were accused of lying. And to Allah are the matters returned.
S 35:25 And if they call you a liar, those before them accused of lying. Their messengers came to them with the proofs and with the zubur and with the bright Book.
S 36:30 Oh regret for the slaves! No messenger comes to them but they used to mock him.
Muslims will often cite Genesis and ask if God regrets.
S 38:14 There is none but called the messengers liars, so right was a punishment.
S 39:71 And those who have disbelieved were driven to Jahannam in batches until when they came to it its gates were opened and its keepers said to them: Did messengers not come to you from you reading your lord’s verses to you and warning you of the meeting of this day of yours? They said: Yes, but the word of torture has been confirmed against the kafirun.
S 40:5 Nuh’s people accused of lying before them and the parties after them and every nation distressed their messenger to take him and they argued with falsehood to refute the truth therewith. So I took them and how a punishment was!
S 40:22 That is because they--their messengers used to come to them with the proofs but they disbelieved so Allah took them. He is strong, the severe in punishment.
S 40:34 And Yusuf came to you before with the proofs but you did not cease in doubt about what he had brought you until when he perished you said: Allah will not raise a messenger after him. Thus Allah misguides him who is extravagant, a doubter.
S 40:50 They said: Did your messengers not come to you with the proofs? They said: Yes. They said: Then invoke and the invocation of the kafirun is nothing but in error.
S 40:51 We help our messengers and those who have believed in the dunya life and a day the witnesses rise.
S 40:70 Those who have called the book a lie and what we have sent our messengers with but they will know.
S 40:78 And we sent messengers before you. Among them those we have related to you and among them those we have not related to you. And it was not for a messenger to bring a sign except with Allah’s permission. So when Allah’s command came it was decided in truth and there the nullifiers lost.
S 40:83 Then when their messengers came to them with the proofs they rejoiced in what they had of knowledge and what they used to mock surrounded them.
S 41:14 When the messengers came to them in front of them and behind them: Not to worship but Allah, they said: Had our lord willed he would have sent angels down. So we are kafirun in what you have been sent with.
S 41:43 Nothing is said to you but what was said to the messengers before you. Your lord is a possessor of forgiveness and a possessor of painful punishment.
S 42:51 And it was not for a human being that Allah should speak to him except by inspiration or from behind a hijab or sending a messenger and inspiring with his permission what he wills. He is high, wise.
S 43:29 Rather, I amused them and their fathers until the truth and an obvious messenger came to them.
Amused them? Perhaps Allah's a clown.
S 43:45 And ask him we sent before you of our messengers, did we make instead of Al-Rahman gods to be worshipped?
Is the Muslim expected to speak to a messenger in his grave? Was Al-Rahman made?
S 43:46 And we sent Musa with our signs to Fir’awn and his chiefs and he said: I am a messenger of the lord of the ‘alamin.
S 43:80 Or do they think that we do not hear their secret and their confidential talk? Yes, and our messengers are with them writing.
The messengers in question are presumably angels but messengers are supposed to go to their own people only.
S 44:13 How can they have the remembrance when an obvious messenger has come to them
S 44:17 And we tried before them Fir’awn’s people and a noble messenger came to them:
S 44:18 Deliver to me Allah’s slaves. I am a trustworthy messenger to you.
S 46:9 Say: I am not an innovation among the messengers and I do not know what will be done with me or with you. I do not follow but what I am inspired with and I am nothing but an obvious nadhir.
S 46:35 So be patient as the determined of the messengers were patient and do not ask to hasten for them. As though they, a day they see what they are promised, had not remained but an hour of a day. A notice. But is destroyed but the fasiq people?
Is this saying that the author was not a messenger?
S 47:32 Those who have disbelieved and have blocked from the way of Allah and have opposed the messenger after the guidance has been made clear to them, they will not harm Allah at all and he will make their deeds worthless.
S 47:33 Those who have believed, obey Allah and obey the messenger and do not invalidate your deeds.
S 48:9 That you may believe in Allah and his messenger and assist him and respect him and glorify him in the morning and the late afternoon. **
S 48:12 Rather, you thought that the messenger and the believers would never veer to their family and that was adorned in your hearts. And you thought evil assumption and were a fallow people. **
S 48:13 And he who has not believed in Allah and his messenger, we have prepared for the kafirun a blaze.
S 48:17 There is no difficulty upon the blind man nor difficulty upon the lame nor difficulty upon the sick. And he who obeys Allah and his messenger, he admits him to jannat, rivers running beneath them. But he who turns away, he tortures him with painful torture.
S 48:26 When he had put zeal in the hearts of those who had disbelieved, the zeal of the Jahiliyyah. Then Allah sent down his shekhinah upon his messenger and upon the believers and compelled them to the word of taqwa and they had more right to it and were more deserving of it. And Allah was learned in everything.
S 48:27 And Allah has confirmed his messenger the vision with truth. He shall enter the Sacred Mosque, if Allah wills, secure, your heads shaved and shortened, not fearing. But he knew what you did not know and he made instead of that a close victory.
S 48:28 He is the one who sent his messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion. And Allah was sufficient as a witness.
S 48:29 Muhammad is Allah’s messenger and those with him are severe against the kuffar, merciful among them. You see them bowing, doing sujud, seeking favour from Allah and pleasure. Their mark is on their faces from the trace of sujud. That is their similitude in the Torah. And their similitude in the Injil is like a seed, its shoot has come out then it has strengthened it then it has become thick and has ascended on its stem pleasing the sowers that he may enrage the kuffar by them. Allah has promised those who have believed and have done the righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great wage.

S 49:1 Those who have believed, do not precede in front of Allah and his messenger and fear Allah. Allah is a hearer, learned.
Could a Muslim walk in front of Allah?
S 49:3 Those who lower their voices in the presence of Allah’s messenger, those are the ones whose hearts Allah has examined for taqwa. Theirs is forgiveness and a great wage.
S 49:7 And know that among you is Allah’s messenger. Were he to obey you in much of the matter you would have been in trouble but Allah has endeared the faith to you and adorned it in your hearts and has made kufr and fusuq and disobedience hateful to you. Those are the rashidun.
S 49:14 The Bedouins have said: We have believed. Say: You have not believed; but say: We have surrendered, and faith has not yet entered into your hearts. But if you obey Allah and his messenger, he does not deprive you of your deeds at all. Allah is a forgiver, merciful.
S 49:15 The believers are only those who have believed in Allah and his messenger then have not doubted and have waged jihad with their monies and themselves in the way of Allah. Those--they are the truthful.
S 50:14 And the companions of the coppice and Tubba’’s people. All called the messengers liars, so a threat was due.
S 51:52 Thus no messenger came before them but they said: A magician or a jinni-possessed man.
S 57:7 Believe in Allah and his messenger and spend of what he has made you mustakhlafun in. So those among you who have believed and spent, theirs is a big wage.
S 57:8 And what is wrong with you, not believing in Allah and his messenger? He calls you to believe in your lord and has taken your covenant, if you are believers.
S 57:19 And those who have believed in Allah and his messengers, those are the truthful and the witnesses before their lord. Theirs is their wage and their light. And those who have disbelieved and have claimed that our verses are a lie, those are the companions of jahim.
S 57:21 Race to forgiveness from your lord and a jannah whose breadth is like the breadth of the sky and the Earth, prepared for those who have believed in Allah and his messengers. That is Allah’s favour. He gives it to whom he wills. And Allah is the possessor of the great favour.
S 57:25 We sent our messengers with the proofs and we sent down with them the book and the balance that people might stand with equity. And we sent down iron wherein is severe horribleness and benefits for people and that Allah might know him who helps him and his messengers in the ghayb. Allah is strong, mighty.
Iron sent down to help Allah know him who helped it and the messengers?
S 57:27 Then we sent after on their tracks our messengers and we sent after Isa son of Maryam and gave him the Injil. And we put kindness and mercy in the hearts of those who followed him. And monasticism, they innovated it. We did not write it upon them but the seeking of Allah’s pleasure but they did not observe it with its right care. So we gave those who had believed among them their wage and many of them are fasiqun.
Were Nuh and Ibrahim not messengers nor their offspring? Was Isa their descendant? Every messenger is supposed to be of his people.
S 57:28 Those who have believed, fear Allah and believe in his messenger. He gives you double from his mercy and makes light for you that you walk by and forgives you. And Allah is a forgiver, merciful.
S 58:4 So he who has not found then fasting for two months consecutively before they touch each other. But he who was not able then the feeding of 60 needy men. That, that you may believe in Allah and his messenger and those are Allah’s hudud and for the kafirun there is painful torture.
S 58:5 Those who oppose Allah and his messenger have been suppressed as those before them have been suppressed. And we have sent down clear verses. And for the kafirun there is base torture.
S 58:8 Have you not seen those who were forbidden confidential talk then return to what they were forbidden and hold confidential talk for wrong and oppressing and disobedience to the messenger? And when they have come to you they greet you with what Allah has not greeted you with and say in themselves: Why does Allah not torture us for what we say? Their sufficiency is Jahannam, they roast in it and miserable was the destiny.
S 58:9 Those who have believed, when you have held confidential talk do not hold confidential talk for wrong and oppressing and disobedience to the messenger, and hold confidential talk for righteousness and taqwa. And fear Allah whom you are gathered to.
S 58:12 Those who have believed, when you have consulted the messenger privately offer in the presence of your confidential talk a charity. That is better for you and purer. But if you have not found then Allah is a forgiver, merciful.
S 58:13 Have you been scared of offering charities in the presence of your confidential talk? Then when you have not done and Allah has repented for you, then perform salat and give the zakat and obey Allah and his messenger. And Allah is an expert in what you do.
S 58:20 Those who prevent Allah and his messenger, those are among the subdued.
S 58:21 Allah has written: I will defeat, I and my messengers. Allah is strong, mighty.
Allah, along with its messengers, defeat? And wasn't the author supposedly the last?
S 58:22 You do not find a people believing in Allah and the last day having affection for those who have opposed Allah and his messenger even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their clan. Those--he has written faith in their hearts and supported them with spirit from him. And he admits them to jannat, rivers running beneath them, abiding therein indefinitely. Allah was pleased with them and they were pleased with him. Those are Allah’s party. Indeed, Allah’s party are the successful.
S 59:4 That is because they opposed Allah and his messenger. And he who opposes Allah, Allah is the severe in punishment.
S 59:6 And what Allah gave as booty to his messenger from them you did not agitate for it of horses or a mount but Allah gives power to his messengers over whom he wills. And Allah is almighty.
S 59:7 What Allah has given as booty to his messenger from the people of the villages is for Lah and for his messenger and for the relative and the orphans and the poor and the traveller that it not be a circuit among the rich among you. And what the messenger has given you, take it and what he has forbidden you, desist. And fear Allah. Allah is the severe in punishment.
S 59:8 For the poor of the emigrants who have been expelled from their homes and their monies seeking favour from Allah and pleasure and helping Allah and his messenger. Those are the truthful.
S 60:1 Those who have believed, do not take my enemy and your enemy as protectors, throwing them affection when they have disbelieved in what has come to you of the truth, expelling the messenger and you because you believe in Allah your lord. If you come out to wage jihad in my way and seeking my pleasure. You confide in them with affection but I am a knower of what you have concealed and what you have announced. And he who does it among you has strayed from the sameness of the way.
How does one take an enemy (singular) as protectors (plural)? Even if this were talking about one enemy of both, the word 'protectors' would have to be in the dual (used of two).
S 61:5 And when Musa said to his people: People, why do you harm me when you have known that I am Allah’s messenger to you? Then when they swerved Allah made their hearts swerve. And Allah does not guide the fasiq people.
S 61:6 And when Isa son of Maryam said: Banu Isra’il, I am Allah’s messenger to you, confirming what is in front of me of the Torah and as one giving the good news of a messenger coming after me, called Ahmad. But when he came to them with the proofs they said: This is obvious magic.
S 61:9 He is the one who has sent his messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although the mushrikun have disliked.
S 61:11 Believing in Allah and his messenger and doing jihad in the way of Allah with your monies and your souls. That is better for you if you knew.
S 62:2 He is the one who has raised among the ummiyun a messenger from them, reading to them his verses and purifying them and teaching them the book and the wisdom, although they were before in obvious error.
S 63:1 When the hypocrites came to you, they said: We testify that you are Allah’s messenger. And Allah knows that you are his messenger, and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are false.
S 63:5 And when it was said to them: Come, Allah’s messenger will ask for forgiveness for you, they turned their heads aside and you saw them turning away when they were arrogant.
S 63:7 They are the ones who say: Do not spend on those who who are with Allah’s messenger until they disband. And Lah’s are the treasuries of the skies and the Earth but the hypocrites do not comprehend.
S 63:8 They say: If we return to Al-Madinah the mightier will expel the degraded one from it. And Lah’s is the honour and his messenger’s and the believers’ but the hypocrites do not know.
S 64:6 That is because their messengers had come to them with the proofs but they said: Shall a man guide us? So they disbelieved and turned away. And Allah has done without. And Allah is rich, praiseworthy.
S 64:8 So believe in Allah and his messenger and the light that we have sent down. And Allah is an expert in what you do.
S 64:12 And obey Allah and obey the messenger. But if you turn away then only the clear notice is on our messenger.
S 65:8 And how many of a village sinned against its lord’s and his messengers’ command and we called it to a severe account? And we tortured it abominably.
S 65:11 A messenger reading to you Allah’s clear verses that he may bring out those who have believed and have done the righteous deeds out of the darknesses into the light. And he who believes in Allah and does a righteous deed, he admits him to jannat, rivers running beneath them, abiding therein forever. Allah has done good for him in provision. *^
S 69:10 And they disobeyed their lord’s messenger so he took them with an exceeding taking.
S 69:40 It is a noble messenger’s speech.
S 72:23 Except a notice from Allah and his messages. And he who disobeys Allah and his messenger then his is the fire of Jahannam, abiding therein forever.
S 72:27 Except whom he was pleased with of a messenger and he proceeds in front of him and behind him as surveillance
Allah walks in front of and behind (dead) messengers?
S 73:15 We have sent to you a messenger as a witness over you as we sent a messenger to Fir’awn.
S 73:16 But Fir’awn disobeyed the messenger so we took him adversely.
S 77:11 And when the messengers have been drawn.
S 81:19 It is the speech of a noble messenger,
S 91:13 But Allah’s messenger said to them: Allah’s cow camel and her drink.
S 98:2 A messenger from Allah reading purified sheets
Was the Quran filthy and then was purified?
Commissaries:
S 2:252 Those are Allah’s verses, we read them to you in truth. And you are of the commissaries.
S 6:34 And messengers were called liars before you but they were patient concerning what they were accused of lying and they were harmed until our help came to them. And none changes Allah’s words and some news of the commissaries has come to you.
S 6:48 And we do not send commissaries except as bearers of good news and warners. So those who have believed and reformed--there is no fear upon them nor do they grieve.
S 7:6 So we will question those whom were sent to and we will question the commissaries.
S 7:75 The chiefs of those who were arrogant of his people said to those who were found weak, to him who believed of them: Do you know that Salih is a commissary from his lord? They said: We are believers in what he has been sent with.
S 7:77 Then they hamstrung the cow camel and were insolent towards their lord’s command and said: Salih, bring us what you promise us if you are of the commissaries.
S 13:43 And those who have disbelieved say: You are not a commissary. Say: Sufficient was Allah as a witness between me and you and he who has the knowledge of the book.
S 15:57 He said: So what is your problem, commissaries?
