How was the unnamed Sodom destroyed in the Quran?

Was it tipped upside down?

S 9:70 Has the news of those before them not come to them, Nuh’s people and Ad’s and Thamud’s and Ibrahim’s people and the companions of Madyan and the overturned cities? Their messengers came to them with the proofs. And Allah would not wrong them but they were wronging themselves.

S 69:9 And Fir’awn came and those before him and the overturned cities with sin.

Was it destroyed by rain?

S 7:84 And we rained a rain upon them. So see how the result of the criminals was.

S 25:40 And they have come upon the village that was rained on with the rain of evil. So have they not seen it? Rather, they were not hoping for resurrection.

S 27:58 And we rained upon them a rain and evil was the rain of the warned.

S 26:173 And we rained upon them a rain and evil was the rain of the warned.

Was it tipped upside down and hit with clay stones?

S 11:82 So when our command came we made its high its low and rained upon it stones of piled argil.

S 15:74 And we made its high its low and we rained upon them stones of argil.

In Ibn Kathir we read:

Concerning the statement,مُّسَوَّمَةً(Marked) meaning the stones were marked and sealed, all of them having the names of their victims written on them. Qatadah and `Ikrimah both said, "Musawwamah means each stone was encompassed by a sprinkling of red coloring.'' The commentators have mentioned that it (the shower of stones) descended upon the people of the town and upon the various villages around it. One of them would be speaking with some people when a stone would strike him from the sky and kill him while he was among the people. Thus, the stones followed them, striking the people in the entire land until they destroyed them all. Not a single one of them remained.

Muslims will talk about women, children and animals being killed during some incident in the Bible while ignoring what is written in their sources about the destruction of the unnamed Sodom. Women, children and animals would have been wiped out.
