Wake Up, Sleepy Jinni

The title is derived from a line in a Monkees song. In this short post we shall be looking at the notion that Satan sleeps up the nose.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If anyone of you rouses from sleep and performs the ablution, he should wash his nose by putting water in it and then blowing it out thrice, because Satan has stayed in the upper part of his nose all the night."

First of all, this is the Devil, not a devil, as the definite article is used in the Arabic. Should we understand from the hadith that Satan is omnipresent? Can it do what Allah can't? As it is always night time somewhere on Earth, is Satan flitting from time zone to time zone and having a kip, being pretty much constantly asleep? Does it just go by Saudi Arabian time, perhaps only sleeping up Muslim noses in the Arabian Peninsula?
