What is Between the Skies and the Earth?

The Quran repeatedly speaks of 'what is between the skies and the Earth', but what exactly is that?

S 5:17 Disbelieved have those who have said: Allah, he is the Messiah the son of Maryam. Say: Then who dominates against Allah in a thing if he wants to destroy the Messiah the son of Maryam and his mother and all those on the Earth? And Lah’s is the dominion of the skies and the Earth and what is between them. He creates what he wills and Allah is mighty over everything.

S 5:18 And the Jews and the Nasara said: We are the sons of Allah and his beloved. Say: So why does he torture you for your sins? Rather, you are human among those he created. He forgives whom he wills and tortures whom he wills. And Lah’s is the dominion of the skies and the Earth and what is between them and to him is the destiny.

S 15:85 And we did not create the skies and the Earth and what is between them except with truth. And the Hour is coming so overlook beautifully.

S 19:65 Lord of the skies and of the Earth and what is between them, so worship him and be patient for his worship. Do you know a sami for him?

S 20:6 His is what is in the skies and what is on the Earth and what is between them and what is beneath the soil.

S 21:16 And we did not create the sky and the Earth and what is between them playing.

S 25:59 The one who created the skies and the Earth and what is between them in six days then ascended over the Al-Rahman throne. So ask him, an expert.

S 26:24 He said: The lord of the skies and the Earth and what is between them. If you are certain.

A similar phrase is found in S 26:28 He said: The lord of the rising place and the setting place and what is between them. If you comprehend.

S 30:8 Have they not pondered within themselves? Allah did not create the skies and the Earth and what is between them except in truth and a designated term. And many of the people are kafirun in the meeting of their lord.

S 32:4 Allah is the one who created the skies and the Earth and what is between them in six days. Then he ascended the throne. You have no protector or intercessor instead of him. So do you not remember?

No protector or intercessor but Allah? Allah the ONLY Intercessor and Protector

S 37:5 The lord of the skies and the Earth and what is between them and the lord of the rising places.

S 38:10 Or is theirs the dominion of the skies and the Earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend by the cables.

S 38:27 And we did not create the sky and the Earth and what is between them in vain. That is the assumption of those who have disbelieved. So woe to those who have disbelieved from the fire.

S 38:66 The lord of the skies and the Earth and what is between them, the mighty, the forgiving.

S 43:85 And blessed be the one whose is the dominion of the skies and the Earth and what is between them and has the knowledge of the Hour and to him are you returned.

Allah knows the Hour? Perhaps the Hour is Near

S 44:7 Lord of the skies and the Earth and what is between them if you are certain.

S 44:38 And we did not create the skies and the Earth and what is between them playing.

S 46:3 We did not create the skies and the Earth and what is between them except in truth and a designated term. And those who have disbelieved, from what they were warned are turning away.

S 50:38 And we created the skies and the Earth and what is between them in six days and no exhaustion touched us.

S 78:37 The lord of the skies and the Earth and what is between them, Al-Rahman, they do not possess from him to address.
