S 7:136 So we took vengeance on them and drowned them in the sea because they called our signs a lie and were heedless of them.

Six verses use the word yamm rather than bahr. All are in reference to the Red Sea, in Hebrew ים סוף Yam Suph. Was the author influenced by something in Syriac? The Syriac has ܝܡܐܕܣܘܦ Yammadhesuph in Hebrews 11:29 in the Peshitta. Peshitta New Testament
The author uses the usual word in verses such as S 7:138.
