S 2:87 And we gave Musa the Book and sent the messengers after him. And we gave Isa son of Maryam the proofs and supported him with the Holy Spirit. So has every time a messenger come to you with what your souls do not desire you have been arrogant? So a party you accused of lying and a party you kill.

Question: If the messengers were sent after Musa, was he himself a messenger? Were there messengers before him?

Regarding the killing of messengers: Qur'an Contradiction: Which Prophets Did the Jews Kill?

S 2:253 Those messengers--we preferred some of them to others. Of them he whom Allah spoke to and raised some of them in degrees. And we gave Isa son of Maryam the proofs and supported him with the Holy Spirit. And had Allah willed, those after them would not have fought one another, after what the proofs had come to them. But they differed, so of them is he who believed and of them he who disbelieved. And had Allah willed they would not have fought one another, but Allah does what he wants.

S 4:171 People of the Book, do not exceed in your religion nor say about Allah but the truth. The Messiah Isa the son of Maryam is only a messenger of Allah’s and his word which he threw to Maryam and spirit from him. So believe in Allah and his messengers and do not say Three. Cease; it is better for you. Allah is only one god. Praise be to him that he should have a child! His is what is in the skies and what is on the Earth. And Allah was sufficient as an agent.

Notice "spirit from him". There is no indefinite article a, an in Arabic. Isa is Allah.

S 5:110 When Allah said: Isa son of Maryam, remember my grace upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Holy Spirit when you speak to the people in the cradle and in middle age. And when I taught you the book and the wisdom and the Torah and the Injil. And when you create from the clay as the form of the bird with my permission and blow into it and it is a bird with my permission and you heal the blind man and the leper with my permission and when you bring out the dead with my permission. And when I restrained the Banu Isra’il from you when you brought them proofs and those who disbelieved of them said: This is nothing but obvious magic.

S 12:87 My sons, go and enquire about Yusuf and his brother and do not despair of Allah’s refreshment. None despairs of Allah’s refreshment but the kafirun people.

Now the reading is "refreshment", but 'spirit' is also possible, It is رَّوْحِ rawh in the 'received' version. A corruption? We find this in S 56:89 Then refreshment and rayhan and a jannah of bliss.

S 15:29 So when I have smoothed him and blown into him from my spirit fall down to him doing sujud.

S 16:2 He sends down the angels with the spirit of his command upon whom he wills of his slaves: Warn that there is no god but me so fear.

S 16:102 Say: The Holy Spirit has brought it down from your lord in truth to make those who have believed firm and as guidance and good news for the Muslims.

S 17:85 And they ask you about the spirit. Say: The spirit is from my lord’s affair. And you have not been given knowledge except a little.

S 19:17 And she took from them a screen. Then we sent to her our spirit and it assumed for her the likeness of a regular man.

S 21:91 And the one who guarded her private part and we blew into her from our spirit and we made her and her son a sign to the ‘alamin.

S 26:193 The trustworthy spirit sent it down

S 32:9 Then he smoothed him and blew into him from his spirit and made you hearing and vision and hearts. Little is what you thank.

S 38:72 So when I have smoothed him and blown into him from my spirit then fall down to him doing sujud.

S 40:15 The elevated of degrees, possessor of the throne. He throws the spirit of his command upon whom he wills of his slaves to warn of the day of meeting.

S 42:52 And thus have we inspired you with a spirit from our command. You did not know what the book was nor faith. But we made it a light. We guide therewith whom we will of our slaves. And you guide to a straight path,

So not all Muslims would be guided by the Quran.

S 58:22 You do not find a people believing in Allah and the last day having affection for those who have opposed Allah and his messenger even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their clan. Those--he has written faith in their hearts and supported them with spirit from him. And he admits them to jannat, rivers running beneath them, abiding therein indefinitely. Allah was pleased with them and they were pleased with him. Those are Allah’s party. Indeed, Allah’s party are the successful.

S 66:12 And Maryam daughter of Imran who fortified her private part and we blew into it from our spirit. And she believed in her lord’s words and his books. And she was of the obedient.

S 70:4 The angels and the spirit ascend to him on a day whose amount was 50,000 years.

S 78:38 A day the spirit and the angels stand in a row, they do not speak except him whom Al-Rahman has permitted for him and he said correctness.

S 97:4 The angels and the spirit descend therein with their lord’s permission, from every affair.
