'We are Muslims to Him'

S 2:133 Or were you witnesses when death attended Ya’qub, when he said to his sons: What will you worship after me? They said: We shall worship your god and the god of your fathers, Ibrahim and Isma’il and Ishaq, one god. And we are Muslims to him.

How was Ishmael Jacob's ancestor?

S 2 :136 Say: We have believed in Allah and what has been sent down to us and what was sent down to Ibrahim and Isma’il and Ishaq and Ya’qub and the tribes and what was given to Musa and Isa and what was given to the prophets from their lord. We do not distinguish between any of them. And we are Muslims to him.

Might 'that sent down' be different from 'that given'? Does 'given' indicate that Allah actually turned up with something or other?

Were Musa and Isa not prophets? Regarding Isa, see: 'The Messengers Passed Away Before Him'

S 3:84 Say: We have believed in Allah and what was sent down upon us and what was sent down upon Ibrahim and Isma’il and Ishaq and Ya’qub and the tribes and what was given to Musa and Isa and the prophets from their lord. We do not distinguish between any of them and we are Muslims to him.

S 29:46 And do not argue with the People of the Book except in that which is best, except those who have wronged among them, and say: We have believed in that which has been sent down to us and sent down to you and our god and your God are one and we are Muslims to him.
