S 57:26-27 And we sent Nuh and Ibrahim and put in their offspring the prophethood and the Book and among them is one guided and many of them are fasiqun. / Then we sent after on their tracks our messengers and we sent after Isa son of Maryam and gave him the Injil. And we put kindness and mercy in the hearts of those who followed him. And monasticism, they innovated it. We did not write it upon them but the seeking of Allah’s pleasure but they did not observe it with its right care. So we gave those who had believed among them their wage and many of them are fasiqun.

Pay attention to verse 27. 'Our' messengers were sent on the tracks of Nuh and Ibrahim. It doesn't say other messengers. Therefore we may conclude that Nuh and Ibrahim, although considered messengers, were NOT messengers.

Isa, we are told, was sent after them. Therefore we may conclude that Isa was NOT a messenger. The verse suggests that messengerhood ceased with the unnamed messengers.
