S 2:251 So they defeated them with Allah’s permission and Dawud killed Jalut and Allah gave him the dominion and the wisdom and taught him of what he wills. And had it not been for Allah’s pushing people by one another the Earth would have corrupted but Allah is a possessor of favour to the ‘alamin.

Question: Are there other possessors of favour to the worlds?

S 4:163 We have inspired you as we inspired Nuh and the prophets after him and we inspired Ibrahim and Isma’il and Ishaq and Ya’qub and the tribes and Isa and Ayyub and Yunus and Harun and Sulayman and we gave Dawud a Zabur.

Was Nuh not a prophet? What about the others? Dawud was given a zabur. How many zubur (plural) were there?

S 5:78 Those who disbelieved of the Banu Isra'il were cursed by the tongue of Dawud and Isa son of Maryam. That was because they disobeyed and used to transgress.

S 6:84 And we gave him Ishaq and Ya’qub, all did we guide. And Nuh did we guide before and of his offspring Dawud and Sulayman and Ayyub and Yusuf and Musa and Harun. And thus do we reward the good-doers.

Ibrahim was given Ishaq along with the latter's son? Did he have two fathers?

S 17:55  And your lord knows what is in the skies and the Earth. And we have preferred

some of the prophets to others. And we gave Dawud a Zabur.

S 21:78 And Dawud and Sulayman when they judge concerning the tilth, when the people’s sheep pastured therein and we were witnesses to their judgment.

S 21:79 And we made Sulayman understand it and each did we give judgment and knowledge. And we subjected with Dawud the mountains glorifying and the bird. And we were doers.

S 27:15 And we gave Dawud and Sulayman knowledge and they said: Praise be to Lah, the one who has preferred us to many of his believing slaves.

S 27:16 And Sulayman inherited Dawud. And he said: People, we have been taught bird language and we have been given everything. This, it is the obvious favour.

S 34:10 And we gave Dawud favour from us. Mountains, return with him, and bird. And we made iron pliable for him.

S 34:13 They make him what he wills of niches and statues and bowls and watering-troughs and fixed pots. Work, family of Dawud, in gratitude! But few of my slaves are the grateful.

S 38:17  Be patient over what they say and remember our slave Dawud, the possessor of strength. He was a repenter.

S 38:22 When they entered upon Dawud and he was terrified of them. They said: Do not fear. Two adversaries. Some of us have wronged the other so judge between us in truth and do not be unjust and guide us to the evenness of the path.

The author begins to mangle the parable that Prophet Nathan tells King David.

S 38:24 He said: He has wronged you by asking for your ewe to his ewes. And many of the associates oppress one another except those who have believed and have done the righteous deeds and few are what they are. And Dawud thought that we had tested him so he asked for forgiveness of his lord and he fell bowing and turned.

S 38:26 Dawud, we have made you a successor in the land so judge between people in truth and do not follow desire for it misguides from the way of Allah. Those who stray from the way of Allah, theirs is severe torture because they forgot the day of account.

S 38:30  And we gave Dawud Sulayman; excellent was the slave. He is repentant.

Where does the 'clear' and 'detailed' quran say that David lived? We're told that he was given 'the dominion'. What dominion?
