Lut and His Family

S 15:58-71 They said: We have been sent to a criminal people 59 Except Lut’s family. We are saving them all 60 Except his woman. We have determined that she be of the preceding. 61 And when the commissaries came to Lut’s family. 62 He said: You are a munkar people. 63 They said: Rather, we have brought you what they were disputing about. 64 And we have brought you the truth and we are truthful. 65 So travel at night with your family in divisions of the night and follow their backsides and let none among you turn round after and pass where you are commanded. 66 And we prescribed to him that matter that the origin of these would be cut off in the morning. 67 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 68 He said: These are my guest so do not expose me 69 And fear Allah and do not disgrace me. 70 They said: Did we not forbid you from the ‘alamin? 71 He said: These are my daughters if you are doers.
Who made up his family? The reader will notice that he had daughters, but according to a number of commentators, they were NOT his daughters. His family were to be saved, except his 'woman', his wife.
S 54:34 We sent upon them a blast except Lut’s family, we saved them by daybreak
