Was Allah's Boss the Last Messenger/Prophet?

Muslims will often say that he is the last messenger and prophet. But that implies that he's still alive. His mortal remains are in his grave. If it be assumed that prophets don't rot, he's still defunct. Now, even if he could still be, not that he ever was, a messenger/prophet, isn't Isa still one?

S 4:171 People of the Book, do not exceed in your religion nor say about Allah but the truth. The Messiah Isa The Son Of Maryam is only Allah’s messenger and his word which he threw to Maryam and spirit from him. So believe in Allah and his messengers and do not say Three. Cease; it is better for you. Allah is only one god. Praise be to him that he should have a child! His is what is in the skies and what is on the Earth. And Allah was sufficient as an agent.

If there can be but one messenger at a time, that messenger would surely be Isa. As Isa is still a messenger/prophet, perhaps he is still active on Earth.

If you are to believe in Allah's messengers, aren't those messengers alive? For other characters that are apparently still alive, see: Still a Messenger and Prophet?

Regarding whether Ibn Aminah was a messenger/prophet, see:
