S 2:36 Then the Devil tripped them from it and expelled them from what they were in. And we said: Get down, an enemy to one another. And you have a lodging and goods on the Earth for a time.

S 2:97 Say: He who was an enemy to Jibril, he sent it down upon your heart with Allah’s permission, confirming what is in front of it and as guidance and good news for the believers.

S 2:98 He who was an enemy to Lah and his angels and his messengers and Jibril and Mikal, Allah is an enemy to the kafirun.

S 2:168 People, eat of what is on the Earth, halal, good. And do not follow the Devil’s steps. He is an obvious enemy to you.

S 2:204 And of the people is he whose speech pleases you in the dunya life and Allah calls as witness on what is in his heart and he is the archenemy of the opponents.

S 2:208 Those who have believed, enter in peace altogether and do not follow the Devil’s steps. He is an obvious enemy to you.

S 3:103 And hold firmly to Allah’s rope altogether and do not separate. And remember Allah’s grace upon you when you were enemies and he tamed between your hearts and you became brothers by his grace. And you were on the edge of a pit of the fire and he rescued you from it. Thus Allah clarifies his verses for you. Perhaps you will be guided.

S 4:45 And Allah knows your enemies. And Allah was sufficient as a protector and Allah was sufficient as a helper.

S 4:101 And when you have travelled in the land then there is no transgression upon you that you shorten salat if you have feared that those who have disbelieved may do fitnah against you. The kafirun are an obvious enemy for you.

S 6:112 And thus did we make for every prophet an enemy--devils of man and jinn, inspiring one another with the ornament of speech in delusion. But had your lord willed they would not have done it, so leave them and what they fabricate.

S 6:142 And of cattle, as cargo and as a rug. Eat of what Allah has provided you with and do not follow the steps of the Devil. He is an obvious enemy for you.

S 7:22 So he showed them by delusion. Then when they tasted the tree their pudenda appeared to them and they began to sew upon themselves from the leaves of the Jannah. And their lord called them: Did I not forbid you from this tree and say to you: The Devil is an obvious enemy to you?

They tasted a tree?

S 7:24 He said: Get down, some of you an enemy to others. And you have on the Earth a domicile and goods for a time.

S 7:129 They said: We were harmed before you come to us and after what you came to us. He said: Perhaps your lord will destroy your enemy and appoint you as successors in the land and see how you do.

S 7:150 And when Musa returned to his people angry, sorry, he said: Miserable was what you substituted for me after me. Did you hurry your lord’s affair? And he threw the tablets and took his brother by the head dragging him to him. He said: Mother’s son, the people found me weak and were about to kill me. So do not cause the enemies to rejoice over me and do not put me with the wrongdoing people.

S 8:60 And prepare for them what you can of strength and of a team of horses, terrifying therewith Allah’s enemy and your enemy and others instead of them. You do not know them; Allah knows them. And what you spend of anything in the way of Allah is paid in full to you and you are not wronged.

S 9:83 Then if Allah returns you to a band of them and they ask you for permission to go out, say: You will never go out with me and you will not fight an enemy with me. You were pleased with sitting the first time so sit with those staying behind.

S 9:114 And there was no asking for forgiveness by Ibrahim for his father except that he had made a promise to him. But when it became clear to him that he was an enemy to Lah, he disowned him. Ibrahim is ah, clement.

S 9:120 It was not for the people of Al-Madinah and those around them of the Bedouins to stay behind Allah’s messenger nor to desire their souls over his soul. That is because they, thirst does not hit them nor exhaustion nor extreme hunger in the way of Allah nor do they step a step that enrages the kuffar nor do they get an attainment from an enemy except it has been written for them in it, a righteous deed. Allah does not waste the wage of the good-doers.

S 12:5 He said: My son, do not relate your vision to your brothers lest they scheme a scheme against you. The Devil is an obvious enemy to man.

S 16:115 He has only forbidden you the dead animal and blood and pork and what has been offered to other than Allah. But one who is forced, not desiring or an enemy, then Allah is a forgiver, merciful.

If the things forbidden for consumption are what are stated above then why do non-quranic ahadith add to the list?

S 17:53 And say to my slaves who say that which is better… The Devil incites to evil among them. The Devil was an obvious enemy to man.

As the reader can see, something is missing from the verse, indicated by the ellipsis. And the Devil was an enemy?

S 18:50 And when we said to the angels: Do sujud to Adam. So they did sujud except Iblis. He was of the jinn. And he acted immorally against his lord’s command. So do you take him and his offspring as protectors instead of me when they are an enemy to you? Miserable was an exchange for the wrongdoers.

S 20:39 Slam him in the ark then slam him in the sea then throw it, the sea with the coast. An enemy to me and an enemy to him takes it. And I threw love upon you from me and to be made upon my eye.

Slam him in the ark? Slam him in the sea?

S 20:80 Banu Isra’il, we saved you from your enemy and agreed on a meeting with you on the right hand side of the Tur. And we sent down upon you the manna and the quail.

Did Allah meet the Israelites at a mountain?

S 20:117 Then we said: Adam, this is an enemy to you and to your husband. So do not let him expel you two from the Jannah so you would be wretched.

S 20:123 He said: You two get down from it, all, some of you an enemy to others. Then if guidance comes to you from me then he who has followed my guidance, he neither strays nor is wretched.

S 25:31 And thus have we made for every prophet an enemy from the criminals. And sufficient was your lord as a guide and a helper.

S 26:77 So they are an enemy to me except the lord of the ‘alamin,

S 28:8 Then Fir’awn’s family picked him up that he might be an enemy and a grief to them. Fir’awn and Haman and their troops were sinners.

S 28:15 And he entered the city at a time of neglect of its people and found therein two men fighting each other, this one from his party and the other from his enemy’s. And the one from his party sought his help against the one from his enemy’s. So Musa struck him and killed him. He said: This is of the work of the Devil. He is an enemy, an obvious misleader.

S 28:19 So when he wanted to seize the one who is an enemy to the two of them, he said: Musa, do you want to kill me as you killed a soul yesterday? You want nothing but to be a tyrant in the land and you do not want to be of the reformers.

S 35:6 The Devil is an enemy to you. So take him as an enemy. He only calls his party to be of the companions of the blaze.

S 36:60 Did I not covenant with you, Banu Adam: Do not worship the Devil? He is an obvious enemy for you.

S 41:19 And a day the enemies of Allah are gathered to the fire then they are divided

S 41:28 That is the penalty of Allah’s enemies, the fire; theirs therein is the home of perpetuity as a penalty for what they used to reject of our verses.

S 46:6 And when they were gathered they were enemies to them and were kafirun of their worship.

S 61:14 Those who have believed, be Allah’s helpers, as Isa son of Maryam said to the Hawariyun: Who are my helpers to Allah? The Hawariyun said: We are Allah’s helpers. Then a band of the Banu Isra’il believed and a band disbelieved. So we backed those who believed against their enemy and they became assistants.

S 64:14 Those who have believed, of your husbands and your children is there an enemy for you so beware of them. But if you pardon and overlook and forgive then Allah is a forgiver, merciful.
